The bowl was brilliant in the light of the midday sun. The grass deep and lush, thanks to the grubs of southern soil, and it’s over-ripe nature of course.
Shadows loomed in their most minute manner, the clouds too had departed leaving the season’s warmth shed down upon the bowl, warm and welcoming, perfect for the plans the young Weyrling lad had.
The red head’s eyes grew wild with anticipation and excitement, he had such hopes, such wild visions of grandeur, it was a fault of his own mind, and exaggerated self-importance. Of course his impression to a brown was little more to fan the flames of that ego.
That brown, Garisath, had proven to be a vital piece of his life he had not known he was missing until he arrived. The brown was wild, strong and creative minded. More so, even, than Ez’ki in that respect. But he was also over-motivated, overzealous and impetuous, and had the attention span of a trundle bug.
But these were all facts that complimented Ez’ki’s lay-about ways, and forced him to work, to control and take initiative with his bond, and keep the Brown form trouble.
“It’s a fine, beautiful day, Garisath” He held a hand, bangles and ribbons making pleasant noises, over his eyes, shielding them from the brightness of the Rukbat as he surveyed his land. Well, of course it was not his land, but he felt it was, he always did. Pern, was in fact his very own property, in his minds eye.
It is mine, there are some pretty critters out today.
The brown said as his whirring eyes became distracted by a spectrum shedding butterfly flew past.
The plan? Well, there was only a very minute plan, everyone were to have their chores done, and they were to meet at the eastern bank of the Lake, it was for all, for any and for every member of the Weyr, it was a social event, he hadn’t cleared it by the Weyrling Mistress, but he presumed it’s acceptance when he hadn’t heard any shouts, rebuking or telling-offs coming his way from her general direction. They were far too frequent, but he was getting used to them now. He was not a true dragon rider, he was a bit of a rogue in comparison, too much cheek and no worries or hesitation about showing it.
“Come on Garisath, give a call will you? It’s about time there were more here than just you and I.” with two long vaulted steps, he perched himself atop a rather high rock to survey the area jut a little better.
Garisath chirruped and then added a deeper tone, a call, a croon, something oddly between, All! Come! We’re by the lake and it’s time we all had some fun! Them message was sent to all, and undoubtedly word of mouth would carry it to all those not dragon bonded!

She didn't know why, but Catilena felt a strange compulsion to go to the lake, as if someone had called for her. As she walked, she saw many people there as well, some with dragons. What a delight! Catilena was glad to see the dragons, and she couldn't wait until she found one of her very own.
"So, what are we waiting for? I heard there was a party, so let's PARTY!" She said, throwing both hands in the air and grinning like an idiot.

His chores were done rather quickly, a small smile on his lips as he finished his work. It all just seemed odd to K’ael. He was a Journeyman Healer, a man who was kept busy with healing even the smallest of cuts at Caspian, who now found himself changing dimglows early in the morning.
This wasn’t the lifestyle he expected but he didn’t regret Impressing to Osaith. He was in the barracks, slipping on a new shirt when the green snaked her head upwards and nipped daintily at his pants leg. Let’s go to the lake Mine, people will be there. She crooned, eyes churning with excitement at the idea of simply having fun. K’ael managed to poke his arms through his sleeves after a few tries and grinned down at the dragon and nodded. The lake sounded like a pretty good idea.
Of course when he actually arrived at the lake, he was questioning whether or not this really was a good idea.
Not because he was worried that someone would get mad or anything like that but because he now was carting around a Senior Weyrling on his back. K’ael and Z’ayr had a bet and it was pretty obvious that the Healer had lost. “Really though, I even warned you that I would win.” Z’ayr scoffed with a smile as he wrapped his arms around the man’s neck to keep himself steady. The Blue Weyrling had every intention of winning – why walk to the lake when you could be carried by a strapping man? That just didn’t make any sense!
“I didn’t think you would actually make me carry you down here.” K’ael returned with a shake of his head. He walked carefully, making sure not to trip on Osaith or Dinayth’s tail as they walked before him – the green listening to the blue chitter away about ugly clothes he had seen around the Weyr.
Dinayth was a fashionista it seemed.
“Hello Ez.” K’ael said with a nod as he reached the lake, Z’ayr slipping off of his back. There was a girl with him, one he didn’t quite recognize.

It seemed the young folk were getting into something, all of a sudden. As if a switch had been thrown, they were appearing from all over and heading toward the lake. Resting outside in the warm sun, Ragule just watched them for a moment. Though the sight of his new assistant toting around another lad was certainly enough to make his dark, bushy brows raise a few inches. Just what were they up to, anyway?
That many youngsters, and their young dragons ... all in the same place, and growing more numerous as the minutes ticked by ... could be bad news. Or not. One never really knew about these things. But even so, the Healer pried himself out of his seat to amble over to see what was going on. Better safe than sorry, after all. Even if they did consider an old geezer like him to be crashing their gig.

Andilay knew about the party, Rayn had told her about it, and when the brown contacted Llanwreth, Rayn transferred the knowledge that everyone was gathering. Of course, it was much easier since Andilay had been jogging around the lake with Rayn on her back. Her chores were long done, and she still felt the need to keep up her strength and stamina. What better way than to cart around a sarcastic woman? Not only did Rayn's quips distract the pleasant burn starting in Andilay's lower back and legs, but she made the time go by oh so much faster.
What surprised her, as she took her jog in the direction of the gathering, was the fact that somebody else was carrying someone. And she was fairly sure she knew them.
A laugh escaped her as she drew near, startling Rayn from her thoughts and making her look and chuckle as well.
Andilay slowed to a walk as she came close and smiled. "Well, K'ael. I didn't realize you liked carting around men. But, if you had to choose one, I don't think you did too bad." The candidate winked at the blue rider, a mischievious glint finding it's way into her eyes.
Rayn held one of her hands over her mouth to hide her smile. "I also did not think you the type.."

Ooo, a party. Parties are fun, parties have food, and parties have friends! I like parties. Mine likes parties? Soranith asked, waddling beside Relina as they made their way to the lake. Relina smiled and put her hand on Soraniths neck.
“Yes, parties are fun, I have not been to many, but the ones I have been to were great! This is gonna be fun.” Relina said as they came to the lake.
Our friends will be there? Soranith asked.
“Well, Zorn is coming.” Relina pointed out, just as the little blue flit appeared above them and chattered.
Zorn does not have smarts as humans do, humans are fun to be with, they talk to me and praise me and say nice things. Zorn just shows me mines memories. Soranith complained. Relina looked confusingly at her.
“Zorn shows you my memories? When did this happen?” She asked, looking at the chattery blue flit.
He always tells me about you, mine, we care for mine, we know mine. Soranith responded. Relina chuckled and shook her head.
“My beasts know me better than I do. Well, we’re here, so let’s have some fun.” Relina said. Soranith called out loudly in anticipation as her green eyes whirled intensely. Relina laughed while Zorn joined in in his own way.

Catilena jumped when she heard a dragon call loudly. It had startled her, she looked around for the source of the noise but with all the dragons here, it was impossible to tell which one had called out. She just shook her head and looked around, not knowing what to do first!
“Well, I suppose I might as well get to know my fellow weyr-mates. After all, they may be my comrades in the sky someday! Now, who to start with. Hmm…” Catilena looked around and saw a young, red-haired man next to a large brown dragon. “Ooo, he looks nice.” Catilena said. She jogged over to him to introduce herself. “Brown-rider, oh brown-rider! Hi, I’m Catilena. May I ask you your name?” She said upon approaching him, when she got close, she stopped and bowed to the dragon, as she always does when she meets a new creature, be it a dragon, a wher, or even a fire-lizard! She was very respectful to those who weren’t herself, and she was not afraid to show it.

Marletta had finished her chores awhile ago and now sat oiling Issaeyith for the green demanded that her hide shine. The little green, not so little anymore, was not all that demanding except when it came to her appearance. Kaz had been helping Marletta oil Issaeyith but for the moment the brown lump of a firelizard lay on the green’s back asleep, it had been exhausting for the flitter especially since Issaeyith had grown quite a bit.
“No more itches?” Marletta asked scratching Issaeyith’s eyeridges.
No more itches but there is one thing I want to do…
“And what is that?”
Garisath says there is something taking place down at the lake. We should join. Issaeyith added the last bit as more of a command than a suggestion.
Marletta grinned, “You only want to go because I just oiled you, and the lake water will wash it off, thus I’ll have to oil you again.”
Perhaps… Issaeyith stood, stretching and causing Kaz to tumble off. The brown flitt looked as if he’d hit the ground but he opened his wings just in the knick of time. Let us hurry we don’t want to be late.
Marletta quickly changed into clothes she had designated her “fine to get dirty” clothing and followed Issaeyith down to the lake. They were not the first to arrive and were treated to the sight of Z’ayr being carried by K’ael and Rayn being carried by Andilay. “Z’ayr, how’d you manage to get a ride here?” She really was curious as to how the blueweyrling had conned his way into getting a piggyback.
-- Sh’rel was lazing about in his weyr trying to figure out what to do for the day. A run? Nah, he wasn’t in the mood for exercising at the moment, then again he really was never in the mood for seemingly pointless jogging in circles. Nap? Nope the brown rider had actually just gotten up. Food was out of the question for he was never really hungry when just waking up.
There is a group forming at the lake. Rolaranth relayed to his rider from his ledge.
“The lake? Hmm…” He stretched his shoulders as if they were sore, “The water would feel great right now.”
Then shall we go? Sure, Rol. Sh’rel replied as he crossed his weyr to the ledge where Rolaranth lay. The Brownrider clambered into his position on the last set of neck ridges. Just be careful, I don’t have riding straps.
The brown snorted before gliding off his ledge and with a few great flaps of his wings he made it to the lake in a short time. What was that snort for? What are you planning? Sh’rel asked.
Without a word Rolaranth overflew the shore and hovered about the lake, he then turned rather abruptly dislodging Sh’rel from his perch. Sh’rel tumbled into the water with a splash. Moments later he reappeared at the surface spluttering and cursing. Rolaranth folded his wings and dove into the water when he resurfaced the brown dragon said to the younger dragons, Good day. and to Garisath, Thank you for the invitation to the lake. It was a good idea.
Sh’rel half swam half crawled to the shore for his grand entrance, “Afternoon,” he said with a grin. The brown rider looked half drowned with his hair plastered to his face and clothes soaked through. He sat down for the moment to remove his boots which would definitely need to air dry.
((Might toss Belior in later, mebbeh not))

K’ael bent down onto one knee and gave Osaith a few pats only to look up and notice that Ragule was also at the lake. The lake where he just carried a boy to on his back. That was slightly embarrassing. He stood and brushed the dirt off of his pants and gave a smile to Rayn and Andilay as the two girls approached. He shrugged casually, “If I have to cart around a lad then he has to be a looker. I have good taste.”
Z’ayr rolled his eyes and slapped the Journeyman Healer lightly on the shoulder. “Oh Faranth. As if. The only reason I let you carry me was because you lost the bet.” A bet of how many sweetrolls one could cram into their mouth. Z’ayr obviously wasn’t going to lose that one. He sniffed and patted his hair, “I’m too fabulous for all of you anyways. Second class, the bunch of you.” He looked down at the icy blue winged dragon of his, “Except you Dinayth. You are first class like me.”
Actually he only added that part because if he didn’t then he’d be stuck with the dragon’s snarky words. “And Andilay! You should be carrying me around! Not her.” He huffed before turning his attention to Marletta. A large grin played on his lips, “I have dearest K’ael here wrapped around my little finger.” At this the Journeyman snorted, hand going up to mess up the boys hair with a “Respect your elders.”
The two guys watched as a brown dragon flew over the shore as his rider fell into the lake with a…somewhat graceful look. “Afternoon.” K’ael replied with a nod of his head.
Ooc|| I may bring in Akki later on. HerandEzneedtohaveadventures. Plus she can annoy Sh’relyayyy

Relina looked around and smiled, feeling like she belonged. Everyone was so friendly and willing, she could feel her icy exterior melting the longer she stayed at DarkMoon. Lost in her thoughts, she did not notice her dragon piping at her, turning to walking to her instead. Relina was close enough to the water that when Soranith got to her, she rammed her head into Relina's side and pushed her into the water. Relina splashed with a yelp and when she came to the surface, she looked around to find her assailant, and found a very pleased Soranith, a rattling noise coming from her chest. Is that laughter? Relina wondered. Suddenly, the green dragon reared up and jumped into the water, splashing Relina.
"Hey! Look what you did Soranith! It took Faine a long time to fix this dress!" She said in mock anger. Soranith only looked at her with what you could say was a smile.
Mine is not angry with me, mine needs to have fun! Mine needs to watch out for the little one! Soranith warned as Zorn flew by and ran into the back of Relinas head, knocking her back down into the water. When Relina got back up, she laughed and hugged Zorn tightly, before gently tossing him into the water and splashing Soranith. Never in her life had she had so much fun!
