((Figured I need to kinda RP this feller))
It was reaching late into the afternoon, he’d had a small round of Dragonpoker with the lads from his wing, and well, he’d gambled on a good hand, and one of the wing riders had simply had a better one, he’d managed to lose several marks, so naturally it was putting him in quite a deplorable state of mind. He was terse, and on edge, and he’d been avoiding another certain blue rider for a few weeks now.
Q’sin was in a vile mood. His losing was aggravating, he kicked at the air as he walked, hands jammed in his pockets as he walked into the kitchens, grabbing a plate quite briskly and pulling on some incredibly unhealthy foods, spice cakes and all sorts of sweet tasty goods.
Dark cloud still hovering quite prominently over his head as he sat in the throws of the dining room, he sat in a shaded corner and began to eat. That’s your own fault you know. Hush up Chaovith, I know well enough. you know how losing sours you, you’re a rotten drunk and a bad loser, and you’ve an addictive personality mine, what is it that makes you want to return to those ways? I don’t think I ever left them Chaovith. And to imagine, you went to the hold the other night, and got yourself rather incredibly drunk, just to pass yourself off to me in the morning. You need to work again, your mind is broken, see a Healer, they should help. There is NOTHING wrong with me Chaovith, they’re flaws in my personality, nothing more. The blue knew to keep quiet now, he was putting his bonded in an even worse mood.
Q’sin seethed silently as he ate.

Akki had been playing dragonpoker also but with a different group of people. In another Weyr.
She had popped over to Benden earlier that day and was going to leave within a matter of minutes. Plans do change though. She saw a group of guys playing the game and wanted in. Unlike Q’sin though, she had good luck with the game and now found herself eight marks richer. Today was a good day.
She left with Ebbeth as soon as the game was over, she didn’t want to lose her luck and her marks. After a nice little nap in her weyr, she was down in the dining hall. Food seemed ideal for when you were still slightly groggy. She grabbed a plate and threw some fruit and meatrolls on to it before scanning the room. Akki hated sitting alone, it was boring and dull, and so she strode over to the table with one other person at it. That person being Q’sin – the man she hadn’t seen since the awkward green flight.
“What’s cookin, good lookin? Mind if I join you?”

That chirpy, cheerful tone grated right through him, he closed his eyes, angling his head slightly away form her, almost like one might wince when in pain.
“Do I have a choice?” He muttered as he took a deep mouth-filling bite of a spice cake, making sure he was quite unable to talk at that moment. He leant sideways, elbow on table, and chin in palm, fingers sneaking under the patch of his eye as fingers hitting the scars beneath, almost a sobering thing.
He sat reserved, tucking himself quite neatly away to himself. And ignoring her presence as much as she would allow – which, knowing Akki for only the very briefest of times – he guessed she wouldn’t allow him such.
Ah, and now he remembered most vividly why he ignored and avoided Akki quite scrupulously. And he’d been very successful. Until now.
He grumbled to himself mentally, not sparing any glances her way.
Be nice, she’s only being friendly I’m sure. Not everyone is as cynical as you are. Really? Sarcasm heavy even in mental tone. Yes, actually, Akki seems very pleasant, and Ebbeth is lovely, do not mess it up here will you? Mess what up! Get addicted again, you know what those times were like, you were vile, do not get back into that again, it is not good. For either of us. You’re very stuffy Chaovith. You call my protecting the dearest thing in my life Stuffy? Chaovith sounded mad, and remorse filled Q’sin immediately. He sighed deeply, and allowed the mouthful (quite plainfully – but that was likely penance).
“Sorry Akki, I didn’t mean to be rude.” He muttered, still not making best efforts to be pleasant even if he did say words to adverse affect.

His muttered words flew up to her ears and she laughed loudly. “Nope, not really.” She responded before sliding into a seat. It was hard to offend Akki. You could tell her that she was the most obnoxious, rude and crude girl on Pern and she would just laugh it off and give you a big ol’ hug.
Her fingers quickly began peeling a fruit as she looked up at the man when he offered an apology. She shrugged his words off, “Ha! Don’t even worry, I’m used to it. I’m too loud and cheery for people.” She could admit that freely, it was common sense really. Now that the fruit was fully peeled, she popped a piece of it into her mouth and chewed happily. “What’s new with you anyways? I haven’t seen you since, well you know.” Might as well just get the awkward mentioning of the flight over with as soon as possible, right?
Besides, riders were supposed to be used to flights and all the drama that could go along with them. “And, of course, how is Chaovith? I wouldn’t dare forget him.”
He’s sitting alone in a corner, obviously not wanting company and yet you force yourself upon him. Ebbeth mused to his rider.
Sh. Don’t judge me

He quirked a bro at her use of ‘cheery’ that wasn’t the word he’d put to her name.
He nodded as she spoke of the flight, and if anything was new since. “No, nothings new since we last met, or … first met. Chaovith is well, he’s nursing his lazy hind on the rocks in the sun, glorifying himself as always. As for me? Other than a severe deficit of luck, since we last met,” He shrugged, “Nothing has changed with me.” He told her. He knew he should find humour in her words, but the severe oppressive cloud that lingered darkly on him wouldn’t permit it.
He looked at his food, suddenly not very hungry at all, and instead picked at a collection of over sweet berries.
“And you Akki?” He would be civil at very least, “What of you and Ebbeth? Both keeping well I presume.” He posed, feeling rather very inadequate to this conversation. Akki could likely have better and more interesting conversations with herself as opposed to having him for company, he was useless company, his tact was lacking, and he was not a much fun guy at all when he looked at it. But that just darkened his personal storm cloud.
Q’sin was used to the drama of flights, but not generally with a complete stranger, who he knew not from Eve. And he didn’t generally… partake in flights that often anyway, Chaovith was usually too lazy to get himself involved, and chase properly. It was an odd fact, but fact it was, Chaovith did not have the stamina, and he knew it, he rarely chased to win, and as a consequence, Q’sin rarely got over emotionally involved in rising flights, it was a strange sideaffect, but it made for awkward situations such as this.
He looked at her for a moment, awaiting her answer, eating another berry, more through lack of something to say, for if he was eating, it would be rude to speak…

“Ha, yeah I guess that was the first time we met. At least it’ll make for an interesting story.” She grinned. A tale of reunited siblings and awkward occurrences.
She frowned at his admission of lacking in the luck department. “You can borrow some of my luck then. I got a streak going on so feel free to dip in.” She offered with a slight smile. Plus even if she did get bad luck, she was pretty used to it – that and the fact that she ignored the bad luck and tried to make it work for her. Forever the optimist, you see. She chewed on a few more pieces of fruit; she needed to eat a bit more healthy. For the past Ten turns she had lived on nothing but sweet foods, klah and wine. A bad habit that was too good to give up…until now.
“We’re doing well.” She grinned happily. “Ebbeth is still lazy and lecturing me, but happy.” She said with a few bobs of her head as Ebbeth protested that he wasn’t lazy. She ignored him of course. “My significant other ran away on me but I’m good otherwise.” She said. There was a snicker at the end of that comment – as if him running away without a goodbye was okay and nothing new or exciting. Akki wasn’t one to dwell on the depressing though.
“So what do you think of Dark Moon so far, anyways?” She asked as she watched him pop the berries into his mouth.

“Dark moon?” He questioned, as though surprised to have the tables turned on him once more, as though he expected her to continue on the drift of her own story, with little to no input form him. Now why would he think such a thing? Optimistic in one respect at least.
“It’s nice, its not home though.” Of course he referred to his former weyr, still not over happy to have left that place. But he had no choice in the matter. “Most people here are quite respectful, though a few of them seem to be kind of scared of me… I’d presume its because they don’t see a great and many number of riders, or otherwise, missing an eye, but then maybe I’m just generally quite a repelling person, though it seems to have no affect on you.” He looked at her sidelong, a small snarky comment inlaid there. Subtle as a grave trench.
But then he realised, and some amount of sympathy rolled in for the blond next to him, “Ran away?” He looked confused, then he widened his eye looking at her, “Hold on, please tell me that was before the flight…” He really didn’t want to be the cause of some dispute… Not again, he’d lost enough to rider fights and he didn’t fancy his chances with the lack of special awareness and all, his lack of concentration even found him reacing for a berry that was about an inch to his right of where he looked for it. He covered it fairly swiftly, and ate.
Nudging the plate between the, he gestured to her to help herself, “I’m not hungry, I’m picking, you may as well have what you want.” She shrugged, not as though he was doing her a favour and nor as though he expected her to oblige, but he thought he might as well be considerate. And he could do considerate, when he was in the right mood for it. And for some bizarre reason, the over loud akki – who had avoided, sternly for that reason, was just the tonic he needed.
No, the tonic he needed was Wine. A few good glasses of it, put his straight to sleep, and he could blank out the day as though it never happened. He sighed and looked off towards the end of the hall, though it wasn’t a person, or a wall he looked at, it was beyond that, space and nothingness. A world of his own for a small moment.

“Yeah I have to admit there Q’sin, you’re the first bloke I’ve ever seen with an eye patch.” Akki nodded. You always heard tales about eye patched people who were just mean but she didn’t think of Q’sin as mean. She liked the man even if he didn’t like her in return. She laughed happily, waving her hand over her head “Yeah everything just goes over me. So I’m afraid I won’t be repelled by you anytime soon.” She could understand his ‘Not home’ comment though. It was always weird going to a new place. Then again, she felt right at home when she first arrived at Dark Moon but she had the tendency to adapt to her surroundings as quickly as possible.
That meant she latched onto someone and made them show her the ropes.
Her hand reached over and grabbed a berry, rolling it into her fingers. “Uhmmm…” She paused, trying to think as she put the berry into her mouth and chewed. Once swallowed, she continued. “It was right after the flight. A day exactly, I think?” She scrunched up her noise before nodding to confirm it. “Yup. One day. Split without a goodbye. I guess I can repel people too.” She laughed loudly. Her laugh was genuine too – there was no hint of it being sarcastic or even forced. Underneath the table, her feet wiggled back and forth. It was probably for the best that R’xis had left – it was slightly awkward knowing that he was younger than her and yet so much more mature at the same time. When people thought of Akki they thought of her as a ‘free spirit’ while the brownrider wanted her to settle down.
She motioned to her plate, “I grabbed a bunch of meatrolls and I don’t even want them. Berries are much tastier.” She leaned back in her chair and tucked her hands behind her head, a slight grin playing on her face. “I also wanted to apologize to you. For the whole flight thing. It was either you or another bluerider and K’dan got my friend pregnant a long time ago.”
“Sloppy seconds? I’d rather not.” Especially when they were Nike’s sloppy seconds. Her and Nike used to be close, best friends in fact. Ebbeth was enamored with her green but everything changed when the dragon went Between. Her and the redhead found themselves suddenly no longer really talking or hanging out.

((feels a little garbbled but... :/))
He smirked, “Well, to be honest I put you as more of the ‘curious’ type, I’m quite surprised you’ve neither asked about it, or asked to see it.” He shrugged, in reference to his Cyclops status.
He listened as she told of her state of affairs with her now ex rider boyfriend, a day after the flight? Oh man… well that was a foreboding tale… “So… uhm, you’re weyrmate… was that because of… you know…” He didn’t say it openly, but he obviously was asking if it was because the rider had heard of his weyrmate sleeping with another.
“Akki, you don’t repel people…” He said quietly, as though he didn’t want some one to hear him being nice. “Honestly? That’s probably my first time in a long time, but that’s not the point I’m trying to make…” He paused, realizing what he was saying, “but, I guess it’s not much to acclaim, that you do not repel the repulsive?” He smirked at the analogy.
Then he looked at her with a mix of confusion and disdain, “Well I wasn’t exactly protesting now was I lass?” A little slip of the northern slang there for a moment, “Though that did make me slightly curious at the time, I guess my answer’s given to me now.” So, now he was blind in one eye, second best and impotent, well didn’t this one manage to pull of a blinding show of malice! – no pun intended.

She grinned slightly and shrugged, “My original plan was to get you drunk before I asked about it. That way you would be too far gone to be insulted about my questions.” It really did sound like something she would do also. The bluerider was indeed curious about the eyepatch. What had happened? Was there an accident or was he born with only one eye. Wait, could people even be born with one eye?
She snickered as Q’sin tried to ask her about R’xis. “I don’t think so.” She laughed. She didn’t know to be honest though, was it the flight that finally set him off? There were questions she wanted to ask but no one here could supply her the answers needed. “I wasn’t exactly the best significant other.” She admitted with a wink. The brownrider wanted a monogamous relationship, which Akki was fine about technically. But it seemed that it meant she couldn’t do talk to her close guy friends – it was often mistaken as flirting.
“If you can say that I’m not repulsive, then I can inform you that you are in no way repulsive yourself.” She pointed out, waggling her finger at the man. She repelled people, that much was true, but she did it in a different way then most. A skill that she had apparently.
She let a slight grin play on her lips. “You were the nicer choice.” She laughed softly. “Plus you were the new guy, I was intrigued.” She added, her laughter a bit more loud this time. Maybe that wasn’t the best way to satisfy her curiosities about the new guy but whatever.

He widened his eye in curiosity and mild relief that she had revealed her plan earlier rather than later. “Well, I’d say it’s a good thing you didn’t get me drunk and then ask…” He paused, realising he likely shouldn’t have said that, “Let’s just say I’m not a very nice drunk.” If he wasn’t nice sober, he was worse when drunk. He got mean, sour and overall vile over stupid things, and likely? Akki would be a very person to get him into one of those rather atrocious moods. He was an appalling drunk.
He breathed a sigh of relief as Akki told him she doubted it was his fault, “Well then I’m glad of the fact it wasn’t me, the last thing I’d want is him seeking vengeance.” He thought back to again how he’d lost his eye, and the vengeance the other rider had sought, but that was long gone now. He shifted his hand, realising he was still touching the edges, where scar became skin. “Well, we all make mistakes Akki, not one of us is perfect, and if he couldn’t deal with such a thing, then he will find the world a harsh reality.” He intoned far too pragmatic for a man of his age.
He quirked his brows, despite the fact that one was stowed away by a deep fringe, and a thick piece of cloth that covered his eye. “Well, that doesn’t sound much like a token gesture.” He smiked, and drank deeply from his mug of Klah. It sunk nice and warm to his stomach, and gave him a nicely satiated feeling.
At her laughter, he guffawed slightly, looking bemused and in a strange way more contented, so he was correct, she was the curious type, “Please tell me that’s not how you generally introduce yourself if it is then -” He stopped, embarrassment rouging his cheeks as he realised what he was about to say was rather insensitive… he was about to mention something about her ex being right, but., it was likely far far too soon.

“Yeah I figured it wasn’t such a good plan when I remembered I was a handsy drunk.” She sighed. If people thought she was touchy feely now, they wouldn’t even be able to imagine what she was like with a few drinks in her. While Q’sin would be a grumpy drunk, Akki would be rubbing herself up against him no doubt. “I’ll figure out a new plan though, don’t worry.”
She snickered, “If it makes you feel better, I think you could take him.” R’xis was a rather scrawny guy, even though he was pretty tall. She was almost positive that if those two had fought Q’sin would have had come out victorious. She placed an elbow on the table, resting her chin on it as she grinned. “What’s this? I thought I was perfection and now you’re telling me otherwise?” Did she actually consider herself perfection? Of course not! But it was nice to pretend…
Her shoulders shook slightly, silent laughter rumbling inside of her. “If it is then I am a floozy?” She offered, trying to finish the sentence for him. She had to admit, she was pretty curious as to how he was going to end that one. She shrugged casually. “It’s how I introduce myself but only to the good looking ones.” Another lie but sadly, people probably believed this one rather easily.

“Oh, well then I shall rest soundly now that I know you have another plan, pray tell, what does this one involve? Perhaps torture? Or gambling at which you are fortuitous and I have the devil’s luck?” He pondered for a moment, “Or maybe you’ll just fly off to my old weyr and ask around there? Seems like something you might do if you had the time.” He smirked and gave her a sidelong look, calculating, but slightly tired. With a look far beyond his years. He was far too pragmatic.
He smirked, though it was bordering on a smile, “Really now? Whatever gives you the impression I’d be able to take him on?” The smirk twitched to a smile as she echoes something about perfection, “Oh, forgive me, you are miss, you certainly are, far be it for me, lowly me to disillusion the great divinity that I hold before me.” He smirked, a mirthless laugh escaping him, almost unbelieving in it’s nature.
“Oh now behave the goddess before me, divine Akki,” Used in sarcasm of course! “one as grand as yourself could not be considered a floozy, that would be ungracious of one so cowed as myself to suggest, perhaps languid is more the term.” He turned away to hide the flicker of amusement that shot through im, he enjoyed games. “and besides, you wouldn’t fuss yourself with me if that were the case,” Still adverse to her come ons, he might have been vain, but he was a realist, he knew he was striking, but he was not a good looking guy… Peculiar maybe, mysterious – perhaps because he kept himself away from the crowds, but Attractive? Good looking Certainly not.
Wait… Akki hadn’t accused him of the former. Oh well, be one, be all. He didn’t think on it. Well, he tried not to.

She let a frown cross her face as she swayed her head back and forth for a moment, contemplating. “Flying to your old Weyr sounds pretty tempting…” She admitted. It probably was something she would too, which was actually just rather sad. “I’ll just charm you until you like me enough to spill all your secrets.” Akki said casually with a grin and a laugh.
What a cocky attitude.
She paused, chewing her lip for a moment. “The nicest way to put it would be to say he just isn’t the most muscular of guys.” He was more of the sentimental nice guy than a brawling brownrider. She rolled her eyes almost sweetly, letting a smile play on her lips as she used one hand to fan herself. “Well now aren’t you just the charmer! Recognizing my perfection.” The bluerider sighed contently.
Akki rolled her eyes at Q’sin, flicking a berry at him – which flew by his head, she didn’t have the best aim. “Don’t be so droll.” She scolded him with a shake of a head. “You’re supposed to accept the compliment with a beaming smile or even a wink. Not with snarky comments.” She drummed her fingers against her jaw line. Steely blue eyes, or eye since she could only see one, almost black hair, a rather muscular body. It was a shame Q’sin didn’t find himself to be good looking.

He shook his head, disbelief lingering heavy in his thoughts about the girl next to him. Well, not so much girl, but woman, some idle part of his mind recognised that Akki was of average marriageable pernese age, hat, five, maybe six turns ago? She justified woman, and she had figure enough for it.
Just the thought brought back memories he’d rather not be remembering right about now.
He ate half a larger berry, pulled the stone form him mouth, swallowed and replied, “Well, you do realise, you won’t find many a man or woman there who’dbe willing to talk about me there.” except for P’yen… “Just if you meet a guy called G’mor? Don’t ask him for any opinion on me, else you’d likely lose your tongue for asking.” He didn’t elaborate on that point. Except for P’yen. P’yen always knew. He always knew you were a good man, the same as I do, and you are, you just can’t – Stop it Chaovith, I don’t need you lecturing me.[/i] “I was a bit of a shark when my luck was in, I could take the shirt from a man’s back, leave him destitute and coming back for more.” He shrugged, “I was a good gambler.” He shrugged, ego coming into play a little now he was getting familiar with the place.
“You know, you could just ask me about it. Without getting me drunk, and sparing me the charm?” He offered. Almost sympathetically.
He gave a mirthless laugh, “So, you like the scrawny ones then? Faranth knows why ever you pulled on me on that flight then.” He laughed absently, chewing mindlessly what he placed in his mouth, barely even thinking about it. “Well, what can I say, your perfection shines from you.”
A berry flew past him, and he looked at her with some what astonishment, and she told him not to be so droll, “Well I won’t be droll if you improve your aim, I don’t accept compliments born of pity, or anything else truth told” He waved a hand nonchalantly, consuming another berry, and turning his attentions away from her for the time being.
He idly caught image of her in his peripheral vision, her fingers tapping over her jaw, she was pretty for a female blue rider, he had always perceived them as masculine, because of the dragon to which they bonded… but, she wasn’t she was cute, very blond though, over anxious to get her opinions across of course, but generally? She was kind of cute.

She frowned, cocking her head to the left very slightly as she stared at the man before her. “Why would no one talk about you? Were you some tough nut, picking fights with everyone?” She asked with a slight grin. She could picture Q’sin being that type of person. Akki shook her head, lifting up her arms so she could flex them. “G’mor stands nothing against me.”
Stop flexing when there is nothing to flex
Akki fought the urge to roll her eyes at Ebbeth’s words. Stupid blue. She turned her attention back to Q’sin and let a long, crooked grin play on her lips. “One day you and I will have to gamble with each other.” She said with a nod. She still was just learning the game of Dragonpoker but she was enjoying it quite a bit. Was she particularly good at it? No, not really. But she was a pretty lucky girl – all though one day that luck would probably run out.
She chewed on the inside of her cheek and shook her head, “That would be too easy Q’sin. No fun in it.” She liked fun, it made things more interesting. “I’m starting to realize the scrawny ones cop out on you.” She laughed with a shrug.
“I’m a lover, not a berry flinger.” She grinned before waving his words away with her hand. “And shut up Q’sin, take the compliment already. It wasn’t born of pity or anything else so suck it up.” She sniffed, her words light despite her telling him to shut up.

Q’sin watched as she spoke, and scoffed lightly at her presumption, “Me? A ‘tough nut’ Admin's Note:[/hr]” He smirked, half laughed and shook his head, “No no, I never picked a fight,” Chaovith accidentally picked some for me… but “I never started a fight with anyone there, However, I did get a little close to the mark with a few of the women…” Angry, drunken times, such fun. “And the men? Well most of them lost a considerable number of marks to me – and if they weren’t under my wing? – ah – uhm I was wingsecond for a period of time” He waved his hand in the air waving it off as though it were nothing, But a blue rider wingsecond? That was quite impressive generally, “G’mor stands a good chance against you Akki, he’s big, he’s strong, and he’s quick to pull a knife.” He drew a line under that part of the discussion with the aid of his hand slicing through the air.
“Annnnd,” He shook his head, “well, I’ll go for it, but let me get my luck back will you? Else you’ll be stealing from me – taking a man when he’s off his game? That jut wouldn’t be fair now would it?” He smiled at her – ignoring the fact that the statement was a little ambiguous, but – he was oblivious to that, his mind didn’t think like that. Not for a long and many turn.
“Too easy?” He looked at her suspiciously, quirking a brow as he looked at her, “Well, getting information out of me? Generally? It isn’t generally that easy to get information out of me, you know that Blondie?” He realised suddenly he was being rude, “Shards – I didn’t… “ He shook his head, and rubbed his forehead, “sorry.”
“Scrawny guys have no staying power.” He shook his head and shrugged, “It’s like a biological imperative, nature says they aren’t the ones that are the fittest, or the best evolved – or some such.” He shook his head as though he was unconcerned, and hadn’t put that much thought into it. But in truth? He totally had.
“As I said – compliments aren’t my strong suit. And berry flinger? I think you could make a profession out of it. I think you just need a bit of practice, and a stronger wrist.” He smiled at her – and in some strange way, he was kind of charming. But he still didn’t take well to compliments.

Akki blinked and then frowned. “You were a wingsecond and that’s how you casually mention it? How boring Q’sin! Brag about it!” She scoffed, shaking her head slowly. She still liked to picture the bluerider picking fights with everyone possible – it brought a pretty grand image to mind. She leaned in, elbows resting on the table as she grinned “Knives don’t affect me, they just get deflected.”
She sat back in her chair crossing one leg and rolled her eyes. “Come on Q’sin, since when did I say that I play fair?” It was sad but true. She was actually a rather competitive person who would be willing to play a little dirty every now and then. And if she got caught? Well, in her opinion that just made things more fun.
She grabbed some hair and began braiding it while her foot jiggled around. “Getting information out of you seems pretty darn easy, if you ask me Q’sin.” She said with a casual shrug. She dropped the hair and lifted a finger, “You were at one point, a wingsecond.” Another finger went up, “You’re not a very nice drunk apparently. You’re normally a pretty good gambler but you’re down on your luck right now. You have an awful time accepting compliments, you’re not a fighter but you can get caught in them sometimes. And there’s a bloke out there named G’more who isn’t a fan of you.”
By the time she was finished; six fingers were held up before she let them drop back down into her lap. “Give me another five minutes and I’ll probably have all my fingers raised.” She grinned lopsidedly. Okay, maybe it wasn’t the most ideal information but hey – it was something. This was how she found out about people, just kept chatting them up. She snorted when he apologized, “Don’t apologize, after all my hair is blonde. And I have no problem with that!”
She let her head cock to the side slightly at his opinion of scrawny guys. “I like to think it’s because I happen to be manlier than them.” She grinned with a loud laugh. This was actually probably true – her tendency to say and do crude things, her habit of accidentally flirting with everyone often frightened off people. She snapped her fingers, “I already am a professional berry flinger. You should be happy that I missed you on purpose – I could have taken your eye out.”
Oops. Was that an inappropriate thing to say?

“Well, it’s not a big thing to me, I only brag about a few things, and being a wingsecond? Not an enormous thing in my life.” He shook his head, “Knives would affect you akki, I hate to say it, but no one has super powers, or mind control here on Pern.
