R'anl scrubbed the sleep out of his eyes with the back of one hand, and then promptly yawned. Blinking, he re-aimed the spout of the pitcher he was holding so that it would actually pour into the big mug he had sitting on the table in front of him. It wouldn't do well to pour klah all over the main hall, after all. The cooks probably would not like him much...
Setting the steaming pitcher down again, R'anl picked up the steaming mug and made his way over to a table to sit and drink it. At first he slugged a few large swallows, and then grimmaced and set the mug down, waiting for it to cool off some before he tried that again.
Yes, it was almost lunch time. Yes, he was barely awake. Rather unusual, really. But after having been up late into the night, he'd promptly slept in... traveling tended to take longer flying straight than between did, and he'd done a deal of traveling the day before. Long into the night, actually. He'd been out to the Hold, even, and back again.
Yawning a face-cracking yawn, R'anl rubbed his face with his free hand, and blinked again. Shards, if he didn't get his act together quickly, the locals were going to think that he was usually a lazy bum that did nothing but sleep! That ... and he didn't want to try to eat anything until he was actually awake. And he was quite hungry...

Ooc|| Darnit Marnark! You always tempt me with the boards you make D:
V’ian had been up for a while now, just sitting in his weyr as he conversed with Waeith. Nothing specific, just the regular chit chat. They had fully adjusted to Dark Moon now, their transfer papers complete and handed in. They had met a few people of the Weyr; Anassa, G’han and some others which was pleasant, though V’ian still wanted to meet more. He liked the idea of knowing a fair number in the Weyr so that way he didn’t seem like the anti-social bronzerider.
He had changed into some better clothes, combed his hair and spent the last thirty minutes or so just simply wandering around the Weyr. It was nice to know which corridor led where, before he managed to walk into a storage room instead of finding the Kitchens. A mistake that one drudge didn’t let him forget. This time though, he walked down the right corridor and into the dining caverns. He grabbed a plate and threw a couple of things of fruit onto it and grabbed a mug of klah as he looked around. There were a few people in there but they were mostly already in groups and V’ian didn’t really feel like intruding.
There two people sitting alone right now. The drudge that was mentioned before and a man. Well, if he sat with the woman he would find himself being made fun of which really didn’t seem all that pleasant at this moment. So he chose the man, striding over to the table and paused with a “Mind if I join you?”

R'anl squinted one eye, and tipped his head sideways slightly to look up at V'ian. The bronzerider then nodded vaguely, and gestured at the seat V'ian was standing next to. "Not at all, have a seat. My rump isn't so large as to need this chair and that one too." He joked, lightly, before trying to stifle a yawn. He was undoubtably in the state of having just awakened, but that wasn't going to stop him from trying to downplay that little failing. It was lunch time, after all, by Faranth! Picking up his mug, he drank some more of the hot klah, wishing it would hurry up and wake him up.
He looked at V'ian after he had made himself comfortable, and spoke up again. "I apologize ... I don't know who you are. I don't even know if I've met you once already or not." R'anl gestured vaguely. "So many new people to meet, all at once ... I'm afraid it's going to take me awhile to remember everyone." Blinking, and then frowning, R'anl peered at his mug. It was half empty already! How had it gotten that empty? He didn't have a flitter to help him drink it ... "Ah ... anyway ... good afternoon."

He grinned at the man’s joke, “I’m glad to hear that. See that drudge over there? She doesn’t like me much and I was actually nervous that I would be stuck sitting near her.” He admitted with a slight grimace, casting a quick glance at the woman who seemed to be staring right at him.
He slid into a seat, placing the plate of fruit in front of him. He grabbed a red fruit and slowly took a bite out of it, swallowing it before answering the man. “Don’t apologize, I was actually trying to figure out if we had met before when I came over here.” V’ian laughed, sticking out his hand so he could introduce himself. “V’ian of Bronze Waeith. You are?”. With his other hand he took another bite out of the delicious fruit, he could sympathize with the man. “I know what you mean, I’m new here also. Well, new-ish. I transferred here a bit ago but still haven’t met many people I’m afraid.”
He could probably use the fingers on his hand to count everyone he formally knew and he’d still have fingers left over. That wasn’t good. It seemed everyone at Dark Moon knew one and another and he wanted to be part of that. Or at least he wanted to be able to use up all his fingers. He grinned, “Good afternoon to you too. Late night I’m assuming?” He had quite the slight yawns and the general appearance of just rousing yourself.

R'anl turned his head to look at the woman indicated, and noted the pointed scathing frown that she was sending in thier direction. "What did you do that pissed her off so much?" He asked, before it occured to him that maybe that wasn't such a good question to ask. "Er ... I mean ... well ..." Stopping before he made it worse, he grimmaced slightly and substituted with taking another swig of his now cool enough to be properly drunk klah.
R'anl nodded, then. "Well, good. Saves us both some embarrassment then." He remarked. "Well met, V'ian of Waeith. I'm R'anl, of Bronze Geth." He accepted the hand of greeting, with a reverent bow and nod. "I haven't met very many people yet either. And unfortunately I think I made a bad impression..." He shrugged. "Oh well ... lots more first impressions that maybe I can improve upon that with."
"Late night? Ah ... yeah, actually. Geth and I went cruising and visiting around the area. Just to get a feel for the lay of the land, you know? You miss a lot, traveling by between... so we spent a bit of time exploring. Stopped in at the Hold down yonder ways for a bit, too. But ... I guess it was too late, cause there weren't that many people about. Rather than make a neiusance of ourselves, we moved on. Didn't get back in until late. Thankfully, Geth is a sound flier, even at night! Things sure look interesting from the air at night ... it's like being completely surrounded by sky. It's all dark, stars over head ... very awe inspiring. And when over water? The stars are below, too. Talk about a sense of weightless vertigo!" R'anl laughed, and shook his head. "It was awesome."

“I got lost down here on my first day here. And then she claims I gave her attitude when I asked for directions.” V’ian admitted with a slightly bashful smile. “I didn’t give her attitude though.” He added after a pause, as if wanting to clear up any misunderstandings. Him? Attitude? Absolutely not!
They shook hands for a minute before V’ian laughed loudly. “I think everyone here makes bad impressions. I met a few people when Waeith joined a flight only to find out my sister was in it too. First time I saw her in a few Turns, we did the awkward yelling at each other in surprise while our dragons competed against each other.” Definitely an awkward way to be introduced to the Weyr. “Did you start fights? Steal someone’s lover?” V’ian asked with a curious grin.
He listened to the man talk while he took a few sips from his mug of warm klah. “You have an interesting view on things.” V’ian said. He never really knew how much you missed when travelling Between but he would definitely think about it for awhile to come. And the description of the Lake at night? Well, it sounded quite marvelous actually. “I think I need to test that out sometime soon. I think Waeith is a quiet flier so hopefully we won’t disturb anyone.” He liked the idea of being surrounded by stars. He had never been to Caspian Hold but wanted to visit one day soon, for the experience.

R'anl looked in the drudge's direction again, thoughtfully. "I guess she's just one of those crabby sorts." He commented, mildly. He hadn't met her himself, so he didn't know. And he'd been around long enough to know that perceptions could vary wildly from one person to the next, all on the same event. So he wasn't going to mark her down with black marks for what he'd been told ... he'd give her her own shot to make or break. He looked at V'ian again, and shrugged. "Might have been one of those days for her, where everything is attitude?" he offered.
"Oh, well ... in that case. Maybe I'm not doing too badly." R'anl laughed softly. "Indeed ... an odd way to meet your sister, for sure. Mighty awkward way to do it, at that. Who is your sister?" He asked. Maybe he'd slowly get everyone figured out for who was who. In time. "Ah ... no ... I didn't do anything that drastic, oh my. No ... though Geth tried. I ... I guess you could say I tried to defend the honor of someone who didn't want it defended ... and made an utter fool of myself in the process. Not to mention my dragon kept trying to pick fights with his bronze. Geth ... well ... he's not exactly screwed on straight, if you know what I mean. He's a tad more aggressive than he ought to be." R'anl gestured slightly with one hand, and then shrugged. "Thankfully, it didn't come down to blows. But I am pretty sure everyone else thought I was spoiling for a fight, too. I wasn't. It was the last thing I wanted." R'anl shrugged yet again. "But all it takes is seemings to sully up things."
"I ... what? Interesting view on things?" R'anl asked, sidetracked. Blinking, he frowned slightly. "On what? How so?" He asked, before realizing that V'ian was not done talking yet. "Oh ... uh ... well ... when over the countryside, quiet flying really is kinda moot. Not a lot of people out there to hear you. What you want to be sure of is whether or not your dragon can handle flying at night. Some can't, you know. They get lost and plow into something. Dragons weren't exactly designed to see at night you know ... that's wher territory. I guess if the moons are bright, it should be alright." R'anl shrugged, before contemplating getting himself another mug of klah. At least he wasn't yawning so badly anymore ... but then having someone to talk to was a big help! And those fruits that V'ian had were looking mighty good ... maybe he ought to go get some of those, too...

“I think every day for her is an everything is attitude day.” V’ian confessed with a sniff. Then again, maybe she had heard the story of how he ditched Anassa the day after the flight and now that the man was some horrible player. That would explain her hatred for him. “My plan is just to avoid eye contact.” He added with a shrug and a small grin.
”Isn’t it though? It was like we were competing for the same girl which you really don’t expect to be doing.” He snorted. It felt like everyone was put into an awkward situation that day as he ended up with the greenrider while his sister ended up with some Q’sin fellow. “My sister is Akki, I’m not sure if you’ve met her or not though.” Then again, he wouldn’t be surprised if the man had. His sister was a floozy for introductions, shoving her face into everyone’s so she could get their names. “I think the utter fool is the one who didn’t want to be defended.” He laughed, trying to comfort the man.
He waved his hand in the air as if trying to make the man’s worries disappear. “From what I’ve seen so far, everyone here is spoiling for a fight.” He wanted to sympathize with the over aggressive dragon but simply couldn’t. Waeith lacked the aggressive, arrogant gene that most bronzes possessed. In terms of bronze dragons, Waeith could be considered an oddity.
He scoffed slightly, grinning before holding up a guilty hand. “I admit it. Waeith nearly took down a mountain when we were flying at night one time. Scared me half to death.” He motioned to his plate of fruit when he noticed the man slightly eyeing them, “Help yourself. I grabbed too many anyways.”

"Uhh ... not making eye contact on one hand is good enough a tactic ... but on the other hand, she might also take that as a sign of cowardice on your part." R'anl warned. "Though ... I am not saying that I know what you should do. Just ... avoid her I guess. A Weyr is a big enough place, you should be able to ... edge around her?" R'anl asked. "That or just go up and kiss her. That might knock her off her track a bit, no?" He added, with another small laugh.
R'anl looked at V'ain with a crooked, half-trying-not-to-grin grin, as he listened to what the man had to say. And then he just couldn't help it, and just chuckled. "That fool... would have been Akki." He clarified, before clearing his throat awkwardly. "Yeah." He glanced around the room for a moment. There were a few things that he thought of to say, but didn't ... probably best to hold his tongue on that ... this fellow was, after all, her brother...
"Spoiling for a fight?" R'anl asked, with new interest. "Over what? Is there something going on that I haven't spotted yet?" He asked. "A fight with who? Or is ... everyone just that bored?"
"Ah .. mountains. Those are hard fellows to knock over." R'anl nodded, gravely, seriously. "Staring one down would be unnerving, to be sure." He agreed, before his attention was stolen completely. "Oh, thanks." R'anl said, gratefully, with a nod. As invited, he selected a fruit. Slipping his knife from it's place on his hip, he started peeling it industriously. "When I got here this ... er ... afternoon ... my only concern was waking up. Now that I'm awake ... sorta wish I had snagged something to eat, too. This is very generous of you."

“I’m one hundred percent fine with her thinking I am a coward.” V’ian laughed. He was a coward, he was scared of that woman. He snorted slightly at the kissing comment, “That could either go terribly wrong or horribly right and I find myself stuck with her for the rest of my life.”
He said nothing for a moment when R’anl said that the fool was in fact his sister, he just stared blankly. Then a long, loud groan as he held his head with his hands. “Of course it is. Why doesn’t that surprise me? She always starts things and gets into weird situations.” He complained. He was never going to make friends at Dark Moon and it was going to be all her fault. Urg. He was going to punch her in the chest next time he saw her, that was for sure. “Next time she acts like a fool, just push her onto the ground and bully her.” He said with quite the serious face.
“I’m still trying to figure it out myself. I think everyone is trying to prove their manliness and therefore fight as many guys as possible while also hooking up with as many girls as they can.” V’ian replied with a few nods, as if he was so close to solving this huge riddle. “Or maybe they really are just that bored?” He said with a grin. That would make sense. He waved away the mans thank you’s, “Don’t worry about it. I tend to hoard food and then I don’t eat half of it.”

R'anl laughed heartily. "Terribly wrong, or horribly right?" He asked, completely eat up with mirth. "Oh, my. I suppose you're right, I suppose so!" R'anl nodded. "Aw, comeon! Not interested in an old nag to chase after your heels all the days of your life?" He teased, cheerfully.
"Push her to the ground and bully her." R'anl repeated, speculatively. "I dunno about that. I am not sure I would want to get tangled up like that. For one, I'm pretty sure those other fellows would have my head for it. She seems to hit it off really well with those lewd types. Or something." R'anl shrugged. "I don't see why she should have to, though. She's pretty enough. Or ... er..." R'anl trailed off again, scratching at the back of his head. "I mean ..." he just gave up and shrugged awkwardly. Why couldn't he keep his foot out of his mouth?
"That's a lot of manliness needing proving all at once." R'anl observed. "And I rather think highly unlikely. I mean ... if there are that many guys trying to prove themselves now ... why in Faranth's name haven't they already? What are they, prepubescents? It doesn't make any sense. Now, I can understand the dragons being itchy ... they all know thread is coming back. But that's no excuse for the riders to be acting out like that." R'anl stated, frowning slightly as he sliced up the fruit. Eating a slice thoughtfully, he shrugged. "Maybe they are just that bored. It would certainly put a better face on the situation, even if it is barely better."

“Did I say I wanted a wife?” V’ian replied to the old nag comment with a large sly grin on his face. No wonder he had no significant other! He took another piece of fruit off of the plate and popped it into his mouth, chewing.
“It’s how I kept her in line when she was younger?” V’ian offered with a laugh. As if. No one but his mother could keep that girl in line. “It’s because she feels right at home with the lewd types. She was never exactly the lady.” He explained with a slight grimace before making an odd gagging noise at his last comment. “I’d pull the brotherly thing and get all protective. But I can’t – someone already told me about how she was a good kisser.” He groaned, his fingers pinching the bridge of his nose. It was all information he never needed to know; he really didn’t want to think that guys thought she was a looker. That was like vomit for the mind.
“Because the fighting makes girls realize that they are immature. Which causes them to lose interest.” V’ian explained with a shrug. “But I do look the prepubescent’s idea also. That would explain a lot.”

"Nooo ... You didn't say it expressly, anyway." R'anl admitted, a crooked grin featured on his face, as well. "But you didn't say you didn't want one..." He poked, playfully. "So, really, it could swing either way. Besides ... if you had one - if you could get such a thing to fly past the Leadership, that is - it would keep nags like her off your back. But then you'd have a heck of a time trying to explain flights to your wife..." R'anl shrugged, mocking sincerity, before munching on another bit of fruit himself.
"Yeah, well ... you'd prolly get away with knocking her down and sitting on her. If I did that?" R'anl pointed out. "She'd kill me. That or you would. And if you didn't ... all those other lewd types would chase me to the Red Star. You know..." R'anl shrugged again, before scratching behind his right ear. "Girls are awkward things to deal with, regardless, but sisters are a little less awkward. At least ... if they happen to be your sister. Everyone else's sisters are gobs of trouble." R'anl shrugged. He really did think that Akki was a pretty lass, but he wasn't going to tell her that ... or her brother for that matter. Besides, he was pretty certain it wouldn't get him anywhere even if there wasn't the threat of castration there. Being a lewd bluerider, it was highly likely that Akki was attracted to other women. "Everyone's got thier own opinions on kisses." R'anl offered. "One person's great kiss is another's gagfest."
"Uhhh ... that didn't compute. The fighting makes girls realize that they're immature?" R'anl asked. "That ... isn't what I've seen. If that was the case, than passive guys would get more attention than the rowdy bunch."

“Do you think she would cook and clean for me?” He asked in a rather sober voice, staring at the drudge who was now making a point to completely ignore him. He shook his head slightly, a silent laugh in his head. Him and the woman? He’d find himself with a knife in his back the next day no doubt.
“She’d probably just try to pin you back.” He laughed before nodding in trouble. “Oh I agree. My sister can do whatever she want as long as I don’t hear about it. But me getting involved with someone’s sister? Dear Faranth, they would have my hide.” Part of that talking was from personal experience. Woke up to find someone’s sister next to him and minutes later he was running away with a fairly angry brother on his tail. Those were the good ol’ days. He snorted, “I hope you’re right.” At least R’anl was trying to make him feel better about the situation – the other bronzerider seemed more willing to share the details.
Um. No thanks.
V’ian blinked and then grinned bashfully. “It made sense in my head and then it came out all jumbled. He waved it away, “So other than picking fights with riders and meeting a crude girl, what else has happened to you while here?”

((OOC - Glad you liked it. XD ))
"Would she cook and clean for you?" R'anl asked, choking on a bit of fruit. Clearing his throat and then laughing properly, he shook his head. "My dear V'ain, she ]already cooks and cleans for you!" He pointed out. "She's a drudge, that's her job. Granted, maybe not for you exclusively, but - well ... you get my point, I'm sure." He gestured slightly with one hand, before laughing again and picking up another wedge of fruit to munch on.
"Pin me back?" R'anl asked, speculatively. "Hm. I don't see how she could, really. I outweigh her by a lot." He shrugged slightly, but then decided he'd best not pursue the topic of Akki any further, lest it become quite awkward and possibly ... well ... bad. R'anl glanced over at the drudge that had been plagueing V'ian for a bit, and then chuckled to himself again, chewing on his wedge of fruit. "Sounds like you've run into your fair share of sisters." He remarked.
"Ah, I see. That happens to me more often than I like. The coming out jumbled I mean. Seems I spend better than half my life choking on my own feet." R'anl shook his head. "What have I done while here? Not a terrible lot, I don't imagine. I've been staying out of people's ways for the most part while I learn my way around. Those previously mentioned events happened when the lot of them surprised me at the lake while I was washing my dragon. I got here just in time to attend the Hatching, and that was interesting to witness. Um ... well ... I don't really do much to attract attention to myself, if I can help it, really."

V’ian blinked and then laughed loudly. “Oh right. I forgot that’s what drudges do.” He wiped a small tear away from his eye and continued to chortle. “Does this mean every drudge here is my wife? Excellent. I like this game.” He grinned, leaning back in his chair as he tucked his hands behind his head slightly.
He untucked his hands and held them up in a ‘Guilty’ sort of way. “It’s not my fault that the guys I met back home had attractive sisters. I mean, really.” He sniffed, trying to pretend he was as innocent as possible. It practically made him a hypocrite though. He complained about people liking his sister and then became one of those people when it came to another girl. “Though I’d like to point out that I don’t specifically go after sisters.” He said with a nod as if trying to clear his name of being a Sister only type of guy.
“Yeah I normally admit that I messed my words up or try to convince everyone that they’re wrong and that I’m right.” V’ian grinned. Normally the latter didn’t work very well though. The bronzerider shook his head slightly, pointing a finger at R’anl. “You’re going about it the wrong way. You want to attract attention to yourself. It’s how Dark Moon works apparently – the louder and more noticeable you are, the more people you meet.”

"Well..." R'anl chortled. "I guess you could see it that way." He shrugged and nodded from side to side. "But by that light, they're also everyone else's wives. And you have to share. Not to mention, some Lord Holder or other would come down on you like a den of whers for trying to marry more than one woman." He warned, playfully. "They don't take kindly to these sorts of things."
R'anl laughed again. "It's not that guys back home had attractive sisters. It's that the attractive sisters all have brothers." He clarified. "That is the issue." R'anl grinned slightly, and poked at his fruit for a moment, frowning at it as if he saw something distasteful on its skin. Shrugging finally, he popped it into his mouth anyway. Poking it into his cheek, he continued; "Pretty lasses with out brothers in the area are easier to sidle up to, yeah."
"You're gonna have to teach me how to do that. Making people think that you're right and they're wrong, I mean. Could be a very useful skill, over the Turns." R'anl templed his fingers, leaning on his elbows for a moment as he listened to V'ian talk. "Oh ho! What if I didn't want to get noticed? Bad things might happen if I run into folk pell mell." He commented. For instance, maybe someone deciding he needed his nose broke or something absurd like that. He never realized that what he'd said might be taken the other way, as in he might be the one doing the nose breaking ... or worse. It was just another classic R'anl moment, where he opened mouth and inserted foot. He just didn't know it yet...

“…I don’t mind sharing?” He offered with a slight grin. “And the Lord Holder would only do that because he’s jealous.” He pointed out, waggling a finger at R’anl as if to show him that he just solved the problem. Wait. Did Lord Holders punch people? Because if they did maybe he didn’t want to start a fight with them – monogamy it is!
“I have to agree with you there. If guys had ugly sisters then everything would be alright.” He snorted. He popped another piece of the fruit into his mouth and chewed while contemplating. “I hooked up with a pretty lass, a flight of course, without a brother and things weren’t so easy.” He grinned lopsidedly, recalling Anassa and how she chewed him out the day after. “Girls,” He stated “Are just confusing.” He leaned back in his chair and finished off his mug of klah before setting it down on the corner of the table.
He waggled his finger, leaning in and placing his elbow on the table. “What you have to do is just repeat yourself. If you’re going to lie, lie with confidence.” He nodded before shrugging casually, “And then you laugh at their points and tell them they are dumb if they think that way.” Was it effective? No, not – not so much. But hey, it was darn fun. “If you don’t want to get notice then why’d you come to Dark Moon!” He laughed. V’ian clearly thought that everyone at Dark Moon stood out in one way or another.
The drudge that had been a conversational piece for them gathered up her dishes and walked by, scooping up V’ians empty mug as well.
“Thanks.” V’ian beamed at the woman, who in turn shot him a look.
“Don’ go flirtin’ with me, boy. I’ve heard about your kind. Bronzeridah’s that think they can up and leave a woman in the mornin’” She snorted, disgust underlining her words before turning away. V’ian looked over at R’anl with wide eyes, trying to hold back laughter.

R'anl laughed aloud. "You don't mind sharing, eh?" He asked, before chuckling again. "Okay. But I don't think the Lords would be jealous so much as horrified. You know how they are sticklers for tradition. Shards ... we're all sticklers for tradition." He shrugged a bit.
"Girls are confusing. Even when you're on thier good side." He agreed. "I don't think I'll ever understand them. Always wanting something, but half the time won't say what. Or something strange of that mess. Like we're all supposed to be HADs? Only ... all Girls?" He thought about that for a moment, and then laughed again, shaking his head. "Nevermind. That would be too scary."
"Lie with conviction. Okay ... I might have trouble with that one, but practice makes perfect, right?" R'anl chortled. "Hmmm." Insulting them deliberately was also going to be a problem. Maybe he'd better just stick with the truth and look the fool? "Why'd I come to Dark Moon? Welllll .... " He thought about that for a moment, and then laughed again. "To get noticed. Actually. Really, though ... it was so that someone would take me seriously. It seemed that back there, everyone still thought of me as a Weyrling ... and I'm not. By far, I'm not. And I got sick of it. Honestly. But getting noticed in a bad way is not good. Or conducive."
R'anl watched with a carefully schooled and blank expression as the drudge arrived and picked up dishes before arguing with V'ian. And as she turned around to leave, he grinned and winked at V'ian. And slapped her on her ass before she left arm's reach.
NOT something he would have done, normally ... he didn't treat girls like that. But it seemed she was just asking for it. He knew it'd piss her off, knew it'd reaffirm her oppinion of bronzeriders ... be he didn't care at the moment. So what if he wasn't a typical bronze rider, and certainly not the type to do what he just did? The opportunity was hard to pass up. There was no meaning behind it, other than possibly to get a rise out of her.

“I reject tradition. Forget monogamous relationships, polygamy is the new trend.” V’ain declared loudly as he slapped the table with his hand. No wonder bronzeriders were given such bad reputations.
V’ian shuddered. “I don’t think I’d want to know what a woman was thinking. It’d be all about how I’m dressed sloppy or don’t clean up after myself.” Or maybe about how he was being a stereotypical guy with that sentence. Oh well, it was just him and R’anl there. He shook his head slightly and grinned, “I don’t get why the other riders don’t like you R’anl. I like you just fine.”
“You should have punched the Weyrleader.” V’ian said with fake wisdom in his voice. He just secretly liked to think that violence solved everything. “Soon as you punch him, no one thinks of you as a Weyrling anymore.” Mostly because they probably thought of you as a whack job or a traitor, but that still wasn’t a weyrling. “I know what you mean though. I came here to just see if I could find my sister but ended up staying simply because you feel more important here. Needed.” He admitted with a shrug.
They were needed too, Dark Moon was always looking for riders.
V’ian watched as R’anl reached out and slapped the woman on the bottom. It was such a glorious moment that it seemed like it was in slow motion. The drudge cast the bronzerider a glare. If looks could kill, that one certainly would have.
V’ian burst out in laughter, loud guffaws simply exploding out of his mouth. He could almost feel Waeith shaking his head sadly but that didn’t matter at the moment. V’ian wiped away a few tears that had appeared from the laughing. “She’s going to spit in your food next time you’re down here.” He gasped, trying to catch his breath.
