Belior thought for a moment trying to remember if Rhia had said anything about Candidates drinking. He had grown up in a Weyr he /should/ know. “I’m not sure if there’s a drinking rule… we could get some wine and if there’s something wrong with us drinking I wouldn’t doubt that she’d come over here and tell us.” Belior shrugged, he hadn’t done anything wrong before so if it was against the rules it’d be a first offense. “Besides, the girl that just impressed was drinking.”
Belior beamed when Faine called him smart, he’d never been called smart by the Master Archivist at the Harper Hall. The old man usually just complained about his handwriting, calling him a clumsy wher or something of the sort. He couldn’t help but think that Faine’s laughter at his mention of her standing for the Queen egg overrided her previous statement of his intelligence, even if she didn’t mean to.
“Aw come on, you have a chance more of a chance than me. It’s best to give the dragonets the most choices. And I doubt you’d lose a gold dragon, I mean… look at the size of them! If you were talking about a firelizard I’d have to agree with you though they’d be easy to lose.”
The boy glanced around and looked a bit embarrassed, “I don’t mind…. As long as you remind me who she is.” Belior hadn’t gotten to know too many of his fellow candidates. “And you said congratulate? Does that mean she impressed?”

K’ael grimaced slightly, “I hope I never take the point of your sword not seriously then.” He definitely had the feeling that the girl could easily take him down. Granted, he could stitch himself back up but she’d probably just wallop him once more. He nodded as she spoke of some Z’ayr and G’han, but had no idea as to who they were. Though K’ael could only hope that Osaith wouldn’t become a pain like this supposed Gerenanth was. He didn’t think he had much to worry about though; Osaith was still sitting politely as she watched them dance.
He was indeed about to give Rayn another twirl when Ez’ki made an appearance, so to be polite the two stopped their dancing about. “Yes, I’m K’ael of Green Osaith.” He replied pleasantly to the boy who seemed to be closer in age than most of the other Weyrlings. He turned his eyes to Rayn when she was about to make her introduction and when she her eyes dim with annoyance he was glad that their conversation had started off well. He didn’t want to be on the end of that stare. He wanted to say something that could break the tension but to be honest, wasn’t quite sure what. “Garisath is quite the handsome dragon also. This must be a brown thing.” He said, a desperate stab at a more relaxed conversation.
It seems most people are now dancing. Osaith observed with a croon as she watched their Bondeds chat with one and another. If it makes Yours feel better, I think Mine and him are getting along well so far. Of course they had only exchanged a few words at this point.

“Well thank you K’ael of Osaith, he’s a good lad – so far, but we’ll see as he grows, I expect he’ll be the root of some chaos at some point,” oblivious to the fact he had interrupted their dancing, he continued, looking over at Rayn, curiously, she had offered her dragon’s name, but not her own, a peculiar one she certainly was!
“I was merely commenting, don’t kill me for it, I was actually quite impressed that a female impressed to a brown, obviously – a female of your calibre is a nice match for a brown. And I merely wanted to wish you both a congratulations and a well done, there’s no need to berate me.” He frowned slightly – unused to receiving such cold welcomes. At least K’ael seemed pleasant. Her fingers stroked her scar, it gave her an odd look, quite like damaged goods were often more beautiful by the stark contrast. But he didn’t linger on that too long, she was odd. Very much so.
Ez returned his conversation to K’ael, “Well, despite the mystery of his bonded’s name – Llanwreth is handsome, a lovely colouring I might add, Osaith is a good looking girl too – she’s quite a pretty little thing isn’t she? She was a surprise for you wasn’t she? You were not a candidate prior to the hatching. Rhumour has it, you were a healer before? Hence the reason you were called to help her ladyship? “ He gave a sideways glance to Rayn as he spoke of her.
I am sad for that Llanwreth, for mine is just a friendly forward mine, who likes good company. He doesn’t take well to people being aggressive towards him. But he wouldn’t act in violence!!! He’s a sedate person, even if his words can be almost poisonous at times. Garisath sounded saddened by this, looking to his brown clutch brother,
Of course Ez’ki found no problems with the fact that Rayn was almost at the levels of hatred about him, he was easy around everyone. Absolutely everyone. Whether hostile, or friendly, he cared not. He received the information from Dh’nen’s blue, and relayed it to his bond, Ez was calmed, if not mildly amused that Dh’nen took him completely serious. Garisath replied in the mean while to Dh’nen’s blue Rodhaketh. Ez’ki is glad to hear it, though he does insist that Salina will be happy, but he appreciates anything you would do in the mean time. These one’s aren’t so friendly, I don’t think we should invite the female rider one to a smaller weyrling pater Rodhaketh, the green’s male, we should, he seems fun. Garisath apparently already planning another shindig mentally.

Tanwen looked over to Z'ayr when he tried to confirm that he was her best friend, and gave a small nod. "Well, yes, I guess that is what I said," and she did give him a quick smile, but her thoughts fell back in time a moment after. "You should feel honored," she said, inclining her head a bit, though she was clearly just having fun with him. "I haven't considered someone to be a best friend in..." she furrowed her eyebrows a bit. "Not since..." and she found herself sending a fleeting glance towards the drunken bronzerider, blinking once, and then looking back to Z'ayr. "Not since I was a child."
At his comment about ending in bed with T'ran, she grinned. Not the sort of friendly grin that she'd been sporting lately, but a rather conniving one. "Z'ayr, if you weren't stuck in weyrling rules, I'd dare you into that just to break that man's mind."
- - -
V'ael gave a friendly smile to Belior. "Thank ye," he said with a nod, turning his smile down to the green by his side. "She is quite wonderful."
You are too, Mine. Aeydrith returned the compliment, nudging the top of his leg affectionately with her head.
V'ael ran his hand gently over her head, then looked back to Faine when she spoke up. "Ye never know," he said, giving her a smile as well. "I certainly don't know anything about which colors prefer which type of person, but I'd still say it's best not te count yerself out of the runnin just yet."

Salina snorted lightly, her scorn for what Ez had said clear by the fact that she did snort and in front of someone she didn’t know very well even. Eyes rolled and she sent Ez a look. “I did not make it worse, you cad,” she teased. “I’ll see you later.”
Her attention turned to Dh’nen, happiness invading her in soft little rays of light. He was an amazingly nice man and she thought that talking with him might prove to be very entertaining. A smile tilted at her lips as she slipped her hands into the blue weyrling’s, hair a bit ruffled from the spin.
“I would never kick you,” she murmured softly. “You’re much too nice for me to do that.” She slid herself closer, in position for dancing, grinning up at him. “I have to admit, though, I haven’t danced many times since Ez and I last did.” She frowned apologetically.

"Thank you." Rayn frowned. This other brownrider was being polite and mostly complimenting Llanwreth and how they seemed to go well together- herself and her dragon. So why did she get this inherent sense of dislike for him? When a man proved unhostile (in any of the ways) then she normally would stand down. Well... perhaps its...
"Are you a flirt?" Even if he wasn't at the moment, if he usually was, then it would be pulled into his aura, vibe.. whatever you want to call it. Perhaps even body-language. As a swordswoman it becomes important to pick up things you cannot see. It becomes a sixth sense, or a hidden instinct. If this, Ez'ki, was a flirt, it would explain why she wanted to wack him good.
She tapped the corner of her mouth as her peeved expression changed to that of mild distaste and possible curiosity.
"And what do you mean by 'her ladyship' Admin's Note:
"
Llanwreth nodded at Garisath. That is good then. Mine is aggressive in manner only, and only resorts to violence if someone else uses it first. She will not start a fight, but she will end it. So she told me. If he only talks meanly perhaps mine will tern from dislike to banter... If they manage to start getting along.

K’ael had to smother a grin even though he was rather amused by Ez’s and Rayn’s reactions to one and another. He turned his attention to the boy when he mentioned Osaith, “I like to think she’s quite nice at least.” He laughed softly, watching the emerald green with the two browns. He raised an eyebrow slightly, “Rumor travels fast then. I’m a Journeyman Healer from Caspian. I figured I should see the hatching happening here as I hadn’t attended the other ones and the next thing I knew Osaith was trying to climb up to me.”
“Ah, I didn’t really help all that much. The Master Healer did the majority of the work; I just helped with the disinfecting.” He replied, once more brushing it off. The credit belonged to the older man who did the actual stitching up. “I’m guessing you two didn’t know each other when candidates? Different groups I assume.” K’ael asked with genuine curiosity. He wasn’t exactly sure how it was for candidates, if there were cliques or anything. He laughed loudly at Rayn’s flirt comment though; quite amused that she was so blunt about her question. “You didn’t ask me that when I came up to you, do I not give off the flirt vibe?” He grinned.
Oh yes Llanwreth, I can see Yours quickly ending the fight. Osaith agreed. The girl looked quite strong, yup. I’m sure everyone will get along in the end.
----
As cheesy as it sounded, Z’ayr could was starting to get a warm, fuzzy feeling build up inside of him. He was a best friend! Tanwen’s best friend! “I never really had a best friend either. I mean, I had quite the number of friends but straight guys were scared to get to close to me. Girls liked me enough though.” He nodded with a grin. He missed his friends back at home but he was glad he came to Dark Moon. It was definitely an experience…even though he hadn’t found himself a boytoy yet.
“Breaking straight minds is what I do best too.” He sighed wistfully, staring at the drunken man. The bloke was so far gone Z’ayr could say he was a busty female and T’ran would probably agree with it. “Oh, look. D’car’s over there. Shall we go say hello?” He nudged Tanwen, waggling his fingers at the new brownrider. He was a surly looking guy but even they needed company sometime.
----
“That’s true, I like the way you think.” She grinned at Belior, grabbing a cup of wine from a tray that a drudge was carrying. She sipped at it and then frowned. Oops, now she was remembering that she didn’t even like wine all that much. Shards.
“I should hope I have more chance than you otherwise my female bits would be pointless.” Faine laughed. He did make a good point though; dragons were probably hard to lose which was sort of a reassuring thought. “Zigana is the shy one! She Impressed a blue.” Faine nodded as she recalled the icy blue dragonet. She flashed a quick grin at V’ael, “Okay, that’s fair enough. I won’t count myself out of the running until the hatching..” She liked V’ael, he was smart and reasonable. Plus he made good company and didn’t make fun of her cooking plans which was a definite plus.
“Ah! Look, there’s Zigana!” Faine more or less cried out, walking over to the girl. “Congratulations!” She said loudly, clapping her hands together once as she beamed at the new bluerider.

Ez smiled, Answering to K’ael, “She is, she’s a sweet looking thing, you should be happy with her,” He smiled again, a taint more charming, but nevertheless within the realms of normal.
Then Rayn threw in her curveball, his eyes widened, and his jaw slacked a little. Was he a flirt Admin's Note:
Shards but she obviously hadn’t known him before the hatching if she had to ask. He tried to approach the question and found himself wanting for words. He was trying to tone it down, because of the incident that he’d already had with the Weyrling Mistress.
“Usually, yes.” He answered categorically. Then shrugged, “A fault or a gift, either way, I am naturally quite flirtatious, but I’m trying to keep a lid on it tonight…” He sounded loathed of this fact, because he was. Usually, surrounded by this many girls and guys, he would be in his element, right now he was still grinning somewhat like a buffoon because of Garisath. His impression had made him folly.
Well, that wasn’t true because he’d been perfectly normal with Salina… directly after the hatching, he had been his formidable and authority disliking self with Rhia. It was just the atmosphere of giddiness in here that was making him such.
“As to my calling you her ladyship?” He posed it as a question, though he sought no answer, for he would give it if he could break his smile for a moment, “You didn’t give me your name, oh brown rider of Llanwreth. So, I should not know what to call you. Besids, it is only those of a regal disposition who do not dain it necessary to grant the gift of their name unto common people.” He was making a point, teasing a little. Perhaps it could be classed as flirting, but he didn’t see it as such, and his heart wasn’t in it with Rayn. “It would be easier, and it would have been unsaid if you had granted me with your name on introduction miss brown rider.” He smiled, he felt like an idiot, but that was just a nagging feeling in the back of his mind that was saying that to him… surely?
He smirked sideways to K’ael, not even realising that he had managed to turn slightly so he faced Rayn a little more. “Well, I’m not sure, perhaps she just sees you as her disinfectant buddy?” He laughed jovially, teasing the new green rider.
Mine own will not talk to her meanly if he has no reason, and she seems to be sweetening a little towards him, even if not entirely. Mine hates to be disliked. He likes to make friends of everyone. – of course the new born brown was oblivious to the fact his bonded would usually do more with selected ones. So the brown obviously didn’t comment on such a thing. Garisath bounced and turned to Osaith, as though the creature hadn’t figured you needn’t have eye contact for this mental contact thing to work She likely would! Mine is no fighter… hopefully! For it would be a shame if we got along, and they didn’t, it could make those lesson things difficult.

Even the slight uplift of her mood was enough to put a wide grin on Dh'nen's face. There was warmth in it. It wasn't the look of a lech or a cad, but one of someone who seemed to value her joy for what it was. "That's much better. If I can chase the rainclouds from your thoughts for the span of a dance, at least, I feel as if I may have done some good in the world before I leave it." He held her formally, but warmly. Not too close, for he wouldn't be so cavalier toward someone he just met!
"I'm nice, am I?" He laughed softly, turning the golden-haired woman in a gentle dance. "I'm not so nice that I can't be a heel sometimes. But I prefer not to." Her admittance of dancing - or not in this case - had him chuckling. "I'll let you in on a secret. It's been a while for me, too. Let's relearn together." He smiled genuinely, kindly, and lead the young woman in a light waltz of sorts.

The music slowed, and Hester came to a halt, her chest heaving, the upbeat song petered out, and left her almost breathless. This was why she preferred guitar or harp to singing or pipes.
She grinned to the audience, though no one was watching her, she bowed anyway, and winked to Annassa, thanked her warmly for the pleasure of her company, and promised she’d be back shortly, that she needed a drink.
So, with a graceful, yet unladylike hop, she jumped form the stage to the floor – ignoring the steps, and began to wind her way through the crowd to the feasting tables. She grabbed a redfruit, and something to wash it down with, water – nothing else. She would be singing later, and most juices were to acidic. One must be very careful.
Hester was only indulging in a red fruit because she hadn’t eaten all day, and her tummy was full of nervous delight at playing in the Weyr for the first time.
She hummed as she went forward, a ditty of the melody they had just played. Came to rest at the end of the table, where she sat, hummed lightly to herself rolling the red fruit in her palm as she drank down deeply from the glass of water, draining it almost in one. She hadn’t realised how thirsty she had been till the drink hit her lips. Taking a bite of the red fruit, she closed her mind off, peacefully. Taking solace in her own company for the short amount of time it was likely to last. Chewing thoughtlessly and placid.

Rayn's expression brightened a bit. "Ah, then that was it." She said this mostly to herself. But it did explain her unease and dislike of him. She couldn't help but chuckle a little.
"I can tell how much of a strain it puts on you, this holding back." A small smile played at her lips as she imagined telling Andilay about this brown rider and his want of companionship. She would have too much fun teasing him, and Rayn would get far too much enjoyment out of watching.
Rayn turned to give her attention back to K'ael. "And no, I never met.. uh.. Ez'ki? Before now. I saw him at the lesson and hatching, but never talked to him. My sword sister and I arrived not too long ago. We haven't mingled much besides haunting the kitchen tables late at night." Rayn shrugged, because it was true. "As far as you being a flirt? I could sense your unease when you started to talk to me. Most flirts exude confidence, like this idiot over here." Rayn threw a thumb to her shoulder, obviously pointing to Ez'ki.
She turned her head back towards Ez'ki, her body still pointed a little more towards K'ael and recrossed her arms. "And while I'm not sure as to how I feel about being called, 'her ladyship', it wasn't I who K'ael came to help on the sands- It was my dear partner Andilay. She's the one who got mauled and was bleeding on the sands. I'm surprised you didn't notice how I am unmarred if you thought I was the victim." At this last part she motioned to her two bare arms, both perfectly fine and unblemished. "And if I have a 'regal disposition' it's not from being in a high class family." Rayn laughed. "Hardly! A beggar and a thief is, I should think, about as commonly common as you can get. Sure, I'm a swordswoman now, but that was all through my own efforts and those of the kind band of swords that took me in. If I didn't have any strength or pride I could have hardly made it to the level of mastery I am now. If I look down on others it is simply because I think they can do... better."
"And if you wish to know my name, I happen to share one with the rain."
Llanwreth looked a little perplexed. But mine, isn't your name Rayn?
Rayn smiled. It is indeed, and I share it with the falling watery substance that the sky cries.
I'm not sure if that is witty... or not.
Rayn shrugged and then grimmaced. "Disinfectant buddy? That... kinda sounds nasty... or kinky. I'm not sure which."

Salina was feeling very warmly toward Dh'nen by this point. If for nothing else than the simple fact that he was being pleasant toward her, and not coddling her or pitying her or any of the other things she disliked when people directed them toward her, especially in her situation. Or she liked him a lot more than she cared to admit. Potato, patato. A light flush graced snowy skin as he mentioned chasing the clouds from her thoughts. Such compliments were not usually fielded her way and to have one such as this...Well, it was a very dashing compliment. Head shook lightly as they danced across the floor. "I doubt that you're a heel much, as you say. You are very nice, I think." They danced and she smiled at him, feeling much better than she had before the Hatching had begun. She felt almost normal now, here, dancing with D'nen. She caught a glance of Ez, talking with Dark Moon's newest female brown rider but he was gone before she could see much of what was going on. Gray eyes made their way to the blue weyrling's own a she laughed lightly. "I'd very much like that," she murmured softly. She didn't think dancing with Dh'nen would be anything like the catastrophe it had been dancing with Ez the last time. Every second was only proving her right. "Tell me--tell me about your Rodhaketh." ---------- A glass of water was presented before the Master Harper, the possessor of it having seen that the woman had drained her own and would probably need more at this point. Alder slid into the seat across from her, a half-smile pulling at his lips. He looked handsome, self-assured and relaxed--much as he always did but there was an air of joy about him this time, one that had not been present the last time he and Hester had met. "That was beautiful," he murmured, reclining back and taking a sip of the wine in his hand. He remembered it was Danae's and set it down, pushing it out of his reach as he watched Hester, smile springing to his lips again. "I can never get tired of you, my dear Master Harper. All of your music is ravishing." Head bent and his smile turned slightly darker, his eyes wicked. "Much like the maker of the music herself is."

Anassa nodded to the Master Harper as she ended the song and went to find a drink. Anassa wasn't ready for a break yet. She hadn't traveled to the Weyr like the Harper had. She raised her pipes again and began playing a melody that she had composed herself. It was quick and exciting and somehow managed to convey wonder. It was inspired by what she had felt at every Hatching since she had Impressed Priath.

K’ael nodded in agreement. All though he was at first unsure about the green and all the responsibilities she came with, he was glad for her existence. His life would never be the same but perhaps that was for the better. This way he wouldn’t spend his Turns holed up at Caspian all his life.
“I hear flirtatious people often have the most friends.” K’ael said with a slight grin. Flirts tended to be quite charismatic people and strangers were drawn to charisma. It was weird how people worked. He was still pondering about such things when the disinfectant buddy comment was made. That just sounded…odd. To put it nicely.
We will just make them get along. Osaith declared confidently. Once an idea went into her head, it stuck there. K’ael was pretty sure that while she growed up to be a confident green, she would also be a stubborn one.
The rider hooked his fingers behind his head and grinned, “I’ll have to try and exude more confidence then. And it’s not my fault I was slightly freaking out beforehand. You look like a tough girl, I was worried I would say the wrong thing.” He unhooked his fingers and let his hands drop to his side. “Urgg, thank you. I thought I was the only one who thought that Disinfectant buddies sounds extremely kinky.” He was glad that he wasn’t the only one thinking so, he felt more normal knowing that he was not alone. “Not only is she a swordswoman but she’s also a teller of riddles.”
----
V’ian had slipped into the feast a bit ago, leaning casually against a back wall as he picked a glass of wine off of a tray. He was enjoying simply watching everything that was going on around him. There were quite interesting scenes, to say the least. A bumbling drunk man with his sister, a red head interrupting a pair dancing.
And of course the two Harpers playing together. He put down his now empty glass on a table when the two harpers split up from each other and walked over to the one he knew. Anassa. The last time they had seen each other was…interesting. A misunderstanding and mistaken good intentions. He took a seat at an almost empty table and listened as the greenrider played a song upon her pipes. He had to admire Harpers, he wouldn’t be able to memorize all the different songs that were out there. Too much work in his opinion. When he thought she looked over in his direction while still playing he grinned and gave her a nod, not wanting to interrupt her song but making it clear that he would like to talk to her later on.
He couldn’t allow her play all night long and not have any company.

Her ease seemed to be catching; Dh'nen's manner grew lighter and less restrained, and he relaxed enough to allow the young woman a glimpse at who he was when he was at peace. A smiling, somewhat charming, caring lad with a knack for being stupid in all the right ways. "Oh, I /can/ be a heel. I try not to. Sometimes it's very hard work." He said in jest, leading her about in the dance.
When she asked about the blue, Dh'nen blinked slightly and gave an almost apologetic smile. He hadn't wanted to talk about it in front of her, but she asked, and he offered softly, "He is the brother that I never knew growing up. The twin to my mind, and a fast friend to my heart. Where I cannot decide things sometimes, he is very sure. I have a feeling he's going to get me into some trouble before too long." A light laugh tumbled free, and he leaned forward enough to plant a chaste, innocent kiss on the girl's forehead. Sweet, tender. "When you would like, he wants to see you. Feels that he should know my friends, so he can accept them."

Salina was relaxed and loose by now. Beyond that, she felt comfortable, as if she'd known Dh'nen at least as long as Ez'ki rather than the few minutes that she, in reality, had. "Please!" she begged, a light laugh tracing through her voice. "You're one of the nicest males I've had the pleasure of knowing." When she looked up at him, she was earnest, honest. They twirled and danced, conversing all the while. Easy. Light. "And I've known you all of a few minutes."
She felt his slight hesitation, felt his reluctance to speak of the topic she had brought up. She understood, of course. She didn't want to even think of the wreck she'd been on the Sands just a few hours before; she didn't want to think of the wreck she'd been before Ez had found her at her lonely table. But she understood that Rodhaketh was as much a part of the man as the hands that held hers were--even despite the fact that they had only been together for the space of a few hours. To not ask about the blue would be beyond rude.
She felt a twinge of pain in her chest when Dh'nen spoke of his blue, but her happiness for him eclipsed it. He was over the moons about it, that was easy to tell. Her smile was radiant and happy as she listened. Then she was blinking, mouth in an "o" of shock as she felt his lips against her skin. She blinked again and then looked at him, stormy eyes still surprised. It took her a moment before she smiled but it was still just as easy and comfortable. "I'd like that," she murmured, just loud enough for him to hear. "However, my good sir, I believe you still owe me the remainder of this dance." She winked and laughed softly.

She turned to angle her opposite company. Nodding her thanks to him as she took the glass offered, She smirked, “And to imagine, you haven’t heard me play the harp yet.” She smirked, refusing to rise to the baiting of her person, even if it were a complimentary form of the banter. She would not bite, not blush to it. She was as bold as he in this instance, she had just made her first play to the Weyr, how could one top such an experience.
“well then Alder, how are you faring?” She clasped the glass between her palms, not drinking yet, she would converse first. She smiled graciously, she would not let their conversation slip awry quite so early into the evening, it was not her way, besides, he and Danae had entered the hall arm in arm – and she would not tred on toes. Especially not toes that where bonded to a Wher.
For that really wouldn’t be wise. But then Hes wasn’t the sort to anger people deliberately. She only ever found that she … accidentally upset people. But, atleast Alder was apparently not one. Her self was as ravishing as her music? She wouldn’t call her music ravishing. Juanty, perhaps, that too could describe her… but again she wasn’t sure the description applied was accurate. But she was easy in the conversation nonetheless, his boisterous and charming ways could be neglected when she chose so.
----
Ez’ki grinned like a fool, glancing at Rayn as she spoke, she was warming to him, good. That was a good start, and K’ael seemed very amiable. But he laughed almost mockingly, “Strain? You have no idea. If it weren’t for an earlier… incident I wouldn’t be quite so restrained, but it would seem I have already, shall we say, sullied my person in the eyes of the Weyrling Mistress.” He rolled his eyes, what a perfect misunderstanding for her to so casually waltz in upon. He huffed at the memory.
Good feeling quickly erased it though. “Well I apologise for exuding confidence, my lady, but one can but mask what is underneath, an inferno can blaze on, but it will only be covered so long.” He warned – but it was harmless, as seemed to be a lot about him this evening. As Rayn crossed her arms, he smirked, a brow quirking, “Well, then perhaps, ‘my lady’, would please you better? If ‘Her ladyship’ sours the tongue? “ He suggested. He decided to gloss over the begger and the thief part, he was sure – despite the fact she mentioned it quite openly – it would be rather rude to raise it quite so publicly. But his brow quirked again.
“If you looked down on others, it is because you think they can do better?” He repeated, curious look tainting tawny eyes, “Well then Lady of the Rain, would that be the case in this instance?” He smirked. Throwing in a comment about the rain.
He sighed dramatically, raising his fingers to his forehead, which now hung as though weary, or perhaps distraught, but mischief sparkled in clay brown eyes. “Kinky? Do you try to tease me? I can assure you both that I meant nothing of the sort.
He turned to K’ael, “You’re telling me she’s a mistress of Riddles? I did guess that, actually, I think I have a brain in here… somewhere.” He pleaded the poor mouth, or rather the dumb mouth, but the finer details were not relevant, “And K’ael, I do have a good number of friends, though, I have never correlated the two… but now you mention it, you could well be right.” He nodded approvingly. “Now, K’ael, if you stay in my company for any period of time, I am certain my confidence is infectious.” Of course, he had proof of this, naturally, proof was in Salina, in this very room, and with Dh’nen, again within this room. He smirked, perhaps he was a disease of confidence. His mind was revolted at the thought. Confidence was no disease! It was a gift! What would that make him? A savior? Perhaps not, it wasn’t a miracle but a gift. Hmmm, he would ponder on that.

Rayn blinked at his comment and waved away his covering of confidence. It couldn't be done. His idiocy... well, that was another matter.
She frowned. "Well, I have never been knighted, but I don't think I could ever picture myself being called, 'my lady'... unless it was from my lover. Are you trying to claim me, sir Admin's Note:
" Rayn's eyes narrowed just a little. "And while Lady of the Rain would be a good title if I was a blue rider, as a fellow brown rider, I hardly think it suitable."
She shrugged and looked a little exasperated. "Did I say I looked down on you? No, I think not. I simply disliked you from the first because I find that flirtatious men are annoying. Not that you were coming on to me, but still, you give off the vibe of 'I want company in my bed'. No matter how hard you try to restrain yourself."
She shook her head. "No. 'Disinfectant Buddy' is pretty raunchy. But if you meant something else, I suppose all we can do is accept your intentions, which didn't seem pure when you said the comment." Well, it was the truth to her eyes.

[Hehe, Hey Akki, I just noticed how similar two of our characters are in name xD K'ael and V'ael. Pretty ironic.]
Tanwen looked over to Z'ayr when she was nudged, broken out of her glaring watch over in the bronze and blueriders' direction. "What?"
Oh, Mine, can we? The green's voice caught her attention, and Tanwen looked down to the dragonet. I haven't met Tetroth's yet. Have you? I like meeting new people, do you Mine? You only talked to Dinayth's so far, don't you talk to other people too? Oh, can we? Dinayth's wants to go talk to someone else, can't we go too?
"Oh, fine," Tanwen said, giving her eyes a small bit of a roll as well. She looked back to Z'ayr. "I haven't really talked to any of them yet. The other weyrlings, I mean. Might as well start getting it over with." They would, after all, be in training together - and this time around it would be training that she hadn't done yet.

V'ael smiled at Faine's agreement to his words, and gave her a nod. "Good te hear," he said with a nod. When she called over to Zigana, he lifted a hand to wave as well. During candidacy he hadn't gotten too much of a chance to talk to many of the other candidates, so hopefully he'd get a chance to get to know them further during weyrling training. It was likely to be a good deal more difficult than candidate training was.
Don't worry, Mine. I'll be there to help you. The olive colored beauty by his side said, nudging his leg. V'ael smiled down to her and gave her a quick scratch above the eyeridge.
True enough, love, but a good deal of me trainin'll probably be about carin fer you. It'll still be it's fair share of difficult. Aeydrith crooned softly in reply, and V'ael turned to follow after Faine, stepping over towards Zigana as well.
"Hullo," he said, offering his usual smile. "Congratulations from me, too."

Relina looked around and saw all the people dancing, new riders, experienced riders, lordholders and harpers, everyone seemed to be having a good time dancing, talking, or just enjoying being here. Relina smirked at her friends instructions.
Socialize? Bah! As if it were truly that easy. Relina mentally spat. Soranith felt her mental struggle and was confused by her riders words.
Mine, what do you mean by that?
I am not one that socializes. I do not trust easy. Relina responded, pushing back awful memories. Soranith snorted.
We are here to have fun, are we not?
We are, but talking to complete strangers without purpose is not my idea of fun. Relina snapped. Soranith turned her head to look at her rider.
Why not dance then? Relina blushed lightly and turned her head.
I don't dance. She told her dragon, trying to hide the truth from her. I am going to go find out when we eat, do as you wish. Relina said, going off to search for the cook. Soranith looked around wondering what to do, when she saw Faine. She got an idea and walked over to her, trying to grab her attention.
You are mines friend, are you not? Mine does not know how to dance, nor socialize. You can fix, yes? Soranith asked Faine, not paying attention to those Faine was speaking with.
OOC: What'd I miss guys? I'm sorry for not posting, my computers been crashing on me and I've been very busy with fanfiction projects.
