Her face split into a grin at his comment, "Well I blame that on you as well. Why, I am just a helpless female to a big brute like you." She laughed to take away any offense he might try to take to the words. "How long you staying? I could do with a warm pillow...maybe some civilized talk...Flitts don't hold up conversations all that well you know?" She sighed. "Perhaps tomorrow I will start working my way into the weyr?"

"If I remember our first night together you were shouting at me because I was not giving it to you when you wanted it", he told her. "I don't know how long but I can stay for awhile and you make a good pillow as well", he said to her. He caressed her bare body and nuzzled into her. He kissed her and nuzzled again. Yes to her he had grown a softer edge, though still having a sharp edge to him, she managed to dull it a bit.

Another innocent grin crossed her face and she shook her head, "No I shouted that you were leading me on and that that was wrong. Get it right. " She chuckled looking into his eyes un embarrassed by the thing he brought up. She looked at him as he nuzzled, "Your supposed to be my pillow not the other way around. " She grinned and didn't move him though. In truth she really didn't mind. She started messing with his hair again, moving it into a more ordere fashion. Apparently Dicer could get bed head as well.

"You wanted it when you wanted it and didn't want to wait. You knew I was going to you were just impatient", he said to her. "You make a better pillow, you're softer", he said to her. He then rested his head on her chest, right below her chin and near her shoulder. He gave her shoulder a light kiss and wrapped his arms around her to hold her.

She made a face and stuck out her tongue at him, "Whatever makes you feel better about it. Perhaps we should get lotion for you then? So you are the softer one? Hmmm?" She trailed a few fingers along his back as she stared at the ceiling. "Hmmm wonder who I should find first?" She tilted her head thinking for a while. Her eyes would start to unfocus as she wondered through the maze of her mind and thoughts.

He looked up at her then said, "I would rather you be the softer one". He held her in his embrace and stayed near to her. He wanted her in his arms, to hold her and to be with her. She made his life that much better. Like a speck of light within the darkness.

She smiled, "So I get to be the pillow more often? Well it doesn't matter. You don't have to be soft for me to want you as my pillow." She kissed the top of his head even while she ran her fingers through his hair still.

"Yes you do and good. I wouldn't have it any other way than you in my arms", he said to her. He gave a rare smile when she kissed the top of his head and closed his eyes as she ran her fingers through his hair.

~~~~~ After Dicer left the weyr there was nothing left to do but plan and get ready. Sorcha picked up all her belongings. She then stood in the doorway, looking over the room trying to make sure it looked the same as before she came there. There was displaced dust but other than that it looked uninhabited. She had put everything inside of her pack and was now ready to go.
Now came the hard part. The certainty vanished, it was easy enough to say that she was going to go into the weyr, but another thing to start doing it. And now she had to do it without any help from Dicer. She looked around one moment trying to put off the inevitable then sighed and left the room.
She looked around the different corridors heading down the ones that looked traveled more often. She didn't know who she was looking for or what she would do or say but this was something she had to do. She couldn't get rid of the jittery nerves that now plagued her. She took many deep breaths to try to keep her nerves down.
Christae was heading to the Infirmary to check on the inventory the Healers were supposed to do for her. She was still seething from the fury she had felt towards her riders and the Candidate for their disgraceful behavior but she would not let that affect her job. She was the WW. She had to keep her cool in situations like that even though she wanted to scream. She used the back corridors because she did not want to meet up with someone and have to explain what all the commotion was earlier. She didn't realize that she was going to meet up with someone in the corridors.
Sorcha froze as steps echoing through the halls reached her ears. Despite what she knew she needed to do she wanted to just run and hide again. Instead she stood firm and moved towards the steps until someone came in sight.
She felt a desire to try to straighten her hair again or smooth her clothes. She did neither, she had done her best to clean up and she would show no nervous mannerisms. "Hello." Okay not the best start but she needed something. She didn't know who this was, only that she needed to talk to her to get to the weyrwoman. She wished she had taken the time to learn the knots systems or whatever they used for identification. "I'm ..ah new to the weyr and don't really know where to go." She looked behind the woman and noted that no one was with her.
((K, thanks.))
Confusion. Nothing but confusion filled the head of a well known soon-to-be Junior Woman. You could say it is as simple as that, but Miya wasn't so sure. So much had happened in the last, what was it, a day or two?
T'rin came back after mysteriously disappearing for way over a sevenday. By then she was all ready confused. She had liked the bronze-rider, at once, but then he left her and she gave up on him. She moved on, Miya was good at that. She met another guy, Decir. She didn't really care if he seemed to hate and despise her, but Miya was twisted enough to like him anyways.
Then she idiotically starts a fight for him. It showed him, for claiming that she had feeling for T'rin, even though she wasn't even sure about that. Though she still felt that she did what she had to, she was upset that she had gotten the candidate kicked out of the Weyr. That was probably the worst thing she could have done.
When she thinks everything is over, Decir walks by and gives her a kiss. Was it real? Did he actually have feelings for her? She couldn't tell, she hated to admit it but the boy was good at hiding his emotions, like she could sometimes be. Now, she would never know, because he was kicked out of the Weyr and Miya had already impressed.
The gold-rider sighed. She didn't know what to do so she merely wandered the halls of the Weyr. She had cut off communications with Reinath, because she wanted to be alone. She was sick of hearing lectures. Do this, you shouldn't do that, what are you thinking? She was sick of it.
Two voices awoke Miya from her trance. Shocked, the dragon-rider ran behind a wall and peeked through. She saw the Weyrwoman, and another girl. Fury fumed in her eyes when she recognized the girl. No, Miya couldn't be positive, but that looked awfully a lot like the girl that Decir was hanging out with when Tonu caught the couple.
"Now I really understand what my elders meant when they said they were using hard love." She said sadly, not realizing that anyone could hear her. Her voice was melancholy.
Christae jumped, startled out of her whirling thoughts. "Did someone speak?" she asked, not certain that she had heard a female voice saying hello. She walked forward and saw a strange girl standing in the corridor.
"Excuse me, but who are you and why are you in the unused corridors? Normally only Weyrfolk like healers and drudges use these corridors." The WW spoke authoritively. Her shoulder knots were prominently displayed. Her face was troubled, her brown eyes a pool of emotion. She hated herself for appearing so ruffled by what had just transpired. She felt bad for kicking the Candidate out and speaking so harshly to her other riders but she had no other choice. If she let them get away with such things they would walk all over her.
Sorcha's brow twitched as the woman said something she didn't really understand but she pushed it away. Sorcha looked around and shrugged, "I don't know I just kinda came in here and this is where I am. " She spotted someone lurking around a corner but ignored her for now. "I met up with someone called Nike and she said that I should find the weyrwoman. So I decided to try but don't really know exactly where I am or where she would be." She gave her best smile, "Care to point me in the right direction, please?"
(( Sorry about the long delay...parents got a few days off so I disappeared. heh ))
"You should have stuck to the more used corridors. You could have been lost here for days without anyone finding you. This place is full of twists and turns. It took me forever to find my way around here." She gave a small, amused smile. "I am the Weyrwoman. Can't you recognize shoulder knots?" She was curious to see why the girl had not recognized her knots because most people looked immedietly for rank knots on others shoulders. "I am Weyrwoman Christae of Senior Queen Kaith. She just flew and will be clutching in a few sevendays."
Sorcha nodded and looked properly abassed and embarrassed then shook her head, " I don't live in a hold that is near the weyr and we don't get many visitors." She shrugged it wasn't like that was an odd thing. There were many holds that didn't get dragonriders or any traders and had to make do on their own. She just wished it hadn't been one of hers...then maybe she wouldn't have to be here. But what was done was done.
"I didn't grow up seeing them so I don't know knots...I suppose I should'a guessed because it has gold in it. Congratulations on the clutching." She just kind of stood there for a while more akwardly. She was normally a shy girl and so never really knew good things to say in a given situation. She flicked her hair away from her face. "I always imagined weyrs being busy places. I didn't think any of it would be so .... dead." She was looking around at all the dusty spots and dirty rooms she had just passed.
Christae smiled. "And here I was thinking that the Harpers had traversed the length and bredth of Pern to teach everyone about all that. Not to worry though, no harm done. Follow me and I will lead you out of here. Like I said, it is really easy to get lost here. This place isn't really dead, we simply don't have the personnel needed to keep this place up. There are a lot of back corridors that are used for storage and other such things. Weyrfolk and drudges use these corridors often to get from one place to another swiftly with as little fuss as possible. You could just about imagine the drudges trying to carry loaded trays around the public portion of the Lower Caverns. That would be chaos. This particular corridor is less used than the others. I will find Uslanee and get her to send some drudges to dust in here. They are supposed to try to keep this place up. Once our Weyr grows in size we will use these corridors more often. What is your name?"
Sorcha shrugged not really willing to get into the problems at her hall at the moment. Everything at her hall had seemed to go wrong once her dad left. She sighed then nodded to Christae and followed her as she started leading the way out of the unused corridors. "Sorcha." She tried to think of more to say then gave up. She just concentrated on following the woman out of the darkened corridors.
"I will show you to the Candidates Barracks. If that doesn't work out for you we will find you a place in the Lower Caverns. We never turn anyone away if they really want to stay here. I hope you do well here and perhaps you will Impress. Why is it that you came to the Weyr Sorcha?"
