(before he is kicked out)
Dicer was walking to the candidate's barracks having just finished his chores. Hard ones at that but if it was one thing Dicer did it was work. He did pull his weight around the weyr he just didn't have the attitude most people would like him to have, though most people wouldn't tell him that either. Though unintentional his form and persona intimidated others and not only that he hated when someone tried to change him. He passed by the girl's side and started heading to the guy's side and to his bunk. His clothes were covered in dust and for these chores he didn't wear his cloak as it would get in his way.

Malenie poked her head out of the girl side of the Barracks. Spotting Dicer, the girl grinned. "Hello, Dicer," She said, and leand against the side of the door. "How were your chores?" She asked. When boredom over came Malenie, she would talk to anyone. Her head was tilited to one side as she looked at the dust covered Candidate.

Dicer's ears perked at hearing the girl. "Malenie. Filthy to say the least", he said to her. He dusted off his shirt and dust went everywhere. Without notice or saying anything to the girl Dicer went inside the boy's side and changed his pants. The shirt he threw off to the side and didn't bother putting on another one. The chores had made him hot, sweaty, and tired. He flopped on his bunk. He half expected the girl to come in now as Miya often would when he reverted to his barracks in the midst of talking to her. He propped himself against the back board of the bed and raised his head up to look at the ceiling. "I think later I should try and get some water to refresh myself", he said aloud but to himself.

Malenie smiled, and opened her mouth againt to speak, but Dicer walked away from her. She sighed, and shook her head. The Candidate waited a few moments to see if he would come back out. When he didn't she turned around to walked back into the barrack. Hearing his voice, she stopped, and walked to the door of the male barracks. "That would be good. You do smell," She said, and held her nose closed with her thumb and forefinger.

"I imagine you would too after all the chores I did", he said to her. He slouched back down laying on his bed and gave a tired sigh. He was wiped out. He put his hands behind his head then eyed the girl with his only visible eye. "What about you? Didn't get too many long, hard chores I see", he said to her. Not caring that he was actually making conversation with someone. Something that would normally suprise him but he was too tired to care or realize how out of himself he was acting.

Malenie smiled. "I'm on glow duty. It's not hard, but just tiring," She said. "Yes, I know that I would smell after all those hard chores. But my punishment is done, and I'm just on normal chore duty," The Candidate said with a sniff. Some how, a lot of people were getting in trouble. Nike, K'dan, Miya, Dicer, and a lot more. Her head tilted at dicer. "Where do you come from, anyways?" She asked.

"Lucky you", he said to her dripping with sarcasm and in a dry tone. "Where did I come from? A hold. Don't ask me which one as I forgot the name and do not care or care to remember that place", he said plainly.

Malenie smiled. "Aren't I, though?," She said, sarcasm also in her tone, and then raised an eyebrow at Dicer. "Oh, so you really don't care baou your home hold? Why?" She asked. The Candidate licked her lips, and peered in closer at the other Candidate. An odd person he was.

"I just don't. They never cared so why should I have. I was nothing more than a work runner to them anyway", he said then said no more. He had hated that place and how the only time he was spoken to was when it was some chore. All the praise went to his bronze rider brother or his younger sister who apparently was just too cute to do anything and always got her way. H'dyn was the only one who really understood him but he had gotten the easy way out by becoming a bluerider. Dicer didn't hate his brother, just envied him how he got to escape it. Atleast he had tried to stay in contact too after he left. He even gave him the blade he had, a twin of his brother's own blade. He was skilled with it to. His brother knew how to use a knife and he wanted to prove to him he was just as good. What was better his brother didn't mind the attitude he had as he understood why and that each person should be allowed to develop however they want on their own. Many qualities he enjoyed about his brother H'dyn and he always seemed to have his own little world going and nothing could disrupt it. Another thing he envied him for, his ability to escape while Dicer always remained trapped in reality. A reality he hated and was disgusted with as people only made it worse for him and his attitude worse.

Malenie shrugged. "That was what life was like at my hold. But I still had friends that kept me sane. If I didn't I really wouldn't be here, and still back at Boll. Ah well, that's hold life for you," She said with broad smile. Nakum came from /between/ and started chittering madly at the two of them. "Shut up, Nakum," Malenie said, shooting a glare at the little brown firelizard. Nakum hissed, and landed on Malenie's shoulder. "Better," She said with a sigh.

"Well lucky you", he said to her. No he hadn't had any friends, just a brother to keep him company and understand him. He hated everyone at the hold but him. They all made him sick. As far as sanity, Dicer had that. He just had an evil nature behind it. He looked at the flitt as it chittered but paid it no more mind. His torso shimmered with sweat and what was left of his face showed signs of exhaustion. Dicer was far from falling asleep but he was indeed tired. He wiped his brow momentarily showing the eye that was normally hidden under the bangs of his hair. It was normal looking just like the other, nothing special really. He laid his hand to the side then eyed the girl, wondering why she would want to talk to him and in such a nice tone. Normally people weren't so hospitable to him in the first place and also having so many people come and greet him at once not leaving him alone when he first came not only aggitated Dicer but made the others around who witnessed it more hostile towards him. It was their fault really. He wanted to be left alone yet no one would leave him alone, something that continued even to this day. This weyr seemed to have a nack for sticking its nose in other people's business.

Malenie cocked her head at Dicer. "Something wrong?" She asked. Live in the Weyr let no on ehave privacy. From other people, to firelizards, you were never alone. Unless of course you were a full rider, and could leave the Weyr, only your dragon at your side. A smile slid across her lips. How she wanted a dragon. Beautiful, and big. Green, and strong. But also different than all the greens here.

"Something wrong? I just finished chores. I am hot, sweaty, and tired", he said to her. He wondered what she was smiling about or why there was the need to smile. There was nothing that would make him want to smile, well maybe a couple of things but that was the more private life of Dicer and still a smile from him was a rarity in itself.

Malenie rolled her eyes. "Oh never mind. What color dragon do you want to Impress?" She asked, eager to hear the answer. Since Kaith had flown, and was going to be clutching soon, the hatching was on all the Candidate's mind. It was what everyone had been talking about a few nights ago. Well in the female Barracks.

"Well it was an obvious answer", he said plainly as she rolled her eyes. "A bronze", he stated simply. All the candidates seemed to want to talk about the color of the dragon they wanted and how they wanted it. Dicer cared not really, though he had to admit he wanted a bronze. As to the size and other such detail he cared not.

Kinest sighed as he looked around. Yes he liked it when there weren't people to tell him not to take off his clothes and go swimming or don't take off the ichy stuff on your arms or don't go into that absolutely fun looking bunch of trees but he did like watching people. Some were very nice...some weren't but he still liked to watch them.
He padded along looking around. He went into the kitchens and filtched a half loaf of bread when someone wasn't looking..or maybe they were and didn't care. And a little bit of cheese. He then continued to wander around before sighing. It seemed that the small weyr was somewhere else perhaps he should sleep? Sleep sounded nice. He remembered where the people had said to sleep so he headed there.
He stopped a little short when he noticed a girl with a brown flying thing. He half hissed at it before inching pass. He huffed a little when he found a dark shadow inside the room. He had stopped looking for people and now here they were. He grumbled a little, deep soft notes before moving to his little cot. ~~~~~~~ A little blue hopped from the ceiling and dived into Dicer's chest and chittered happily at him for a few moments. Then it proceded to make itself quite at home on him.

Malenie nodded. "Doesn't surprise me," She said. Her eyes moved from Dicer's face to Kinest as he made his way past her, and into the room. Head tilited to one side, the Candidate looked at the bot. Who was he? She hadn't seen him before? Nakum's chittering brought her attention back to Dicer. A smile formed on her lips at the blue firelizard. A laugh escaped them as she watched. "I like your friend, Dicer. Who own's it?" She asked nodding to the blue firelizard.

"I figured it wouldn't", he said to her. He eyed the flitt on his chest. "I wish I knew. This thing pops out of no where", he said to her. He eyed the boy that walked in but said or did nothing. He returned his gaze back to the blue flitt who settled itself on his chest.

Malenie smiled. "It's cute," She said. Nakum cherped madly at the blue firelizard, trying to make it reply to him. This made the Candidate grin, and stroke the little brown's head. "Calm down, Nakum. He will reply soon enough," She murmered to the firelizard.

Dicer shrugged and looked at the thing. Why did this flitt venture off and hang around him so often. He didn't feed it so why would it act like it was his. He would opt to move the thing but he was tired and sore and his body didn't feel like moving after he had gotten to this comfortable position.
