Meka was all about the speed, the glory, the adrenaline pumping through his little body as he pushed harder and harder for more and more. The little blue, because of his foot, was not graceful or fast on land. He was awkward, ungainly and ugly. But when he was in the air...Then, he felt at home. So he chased after Zelizar with full attention, flitting nimbly through the air.
Zigana was awkward in almost all situations, unlike her little blue. However, now, she was quite comfortable. Surprisingly so, actually. But, talk of animals did seem to loosen her up quite a bit, that was for certain.
"Silvers are such beautiful creatures, I've heard. It really is unfortunate that they're practically doomed from the start..." Zigana glanced down, dark eyes saddened by the thought. To have a dragon, to Impress to such a wondorous creature, and then to know, know that they might not live as long...The thought was depressing. So she didn't think about it any longer. She instead turned to the other topic of conversation.
"I'm the same, unfortunately. I had friends with runners and we'd play around with them all the time. They're glorious creatures, runners are. I'd like one of them almost as much as I would a dragon." She smiled, not even blushing at the statement. "They're just beautiful and loyal. They're like people, but better."
She gasped as the door opened. She saw a head, she thought of a boy, before the door closed and she heard the voice from without apologize. Yes, definitely a boy. She flushed scarlet, hands rising to hug herself about the middle. She glanced up at Kalyr, head shaking from side to side. "No...no, it's okay. I-I...understand." Shard it! She was just doing well with one person and now a second was being added?! She was doomed. Zigana was doomed.

Seeing the perfect setup for a hero's entrance Kallan smiled and swung open the door dramatically. "It is I, Kallan, a Candidate of Dark Moon Weyr." He bowed low, his right hand making small circles before he straightened. "And who do I..."Aw it was too much, he giggled. "I'm sorry, it's just too funny. Anyway, who are you two? Don't think I've met you. I'm kallan....think I've already said it, but it's good to be sure."
While bouncing on the toes of his feet waiting for an answer, Quiote came in to chitter angrily at Kallan for ruining the game. As he landed on Kallan's head he noticed the other two flitters playing around. Well, two flitters was definitely better than one boy. The flitter stopped his angry chittering and watched the other two for a moment waiting for them to notice him. Because he couldn't just jump in. They had to beg audience of him. (Oh so regal)

Kalyr huffed slightly to himself, this situation was awkward. He looked between the youngster and the female, he gave a half smile to Zigana, apologising, he hadn’t realised it would be some one wanting to converse, and stay. He wouldn’t make that call for Zigana – though he knew she would hardly refuse him his stay. She was too polite for that, and young Kallan was just too forward to notice she didn’t want his company. Kalyr sighed, he looked down to Kallan, “Yeah, you did kind of mention it once before now, Kallan, candidate of Dark Moon Weyr” anyone would think with the tone he said it, he said Weyrleader not candidate he refused smirking to himself, instead he continued, and introduced himself, not nearly as grandly as Kallan had, “Journeyman Tanner, Kalyr at your service,” He smiled playfully, bowed slightly, he was kind of at their service, but he would not be directly of service to them.
“What do you think then, Kallan? Runner’s or Dragons? I was just going to voice my opinion, but, seen as you’re here, we’ll ask you” He smiled, turning the topic back to something Zigana was comfortable with.
Zar’s attention left the blue quite immediately, and turned it to the bronze, he bugled and darted towards the bronze with a curious yellow tricking and swirling through his faceted eyes. Zar Chirruped and darted about the bronze, almost asking the fellow flitter to play. He darted back to Meeka, flew in arcs about the blue, before returning his attentions back to the bronze, chirping sweetly, like a child asking if the other would come out to play.

(( v.v; sorry about the wait. I keep losing this topic.... I dunno where it's hiding ))
"Oh, um ...." He frowned and thought for a moment, "Dragons, yep definitely, Dragons."
Quiote chittered back at Zar, happy for the attention he was getting. Much better than the silly boy. He launched himself from Kallan's head and flew in a grand loop before hovering before Meeka chirruping at it, almost as if he was asking if it was okay he play too. He circled about Meeka once before swerving back to Zar to tap him with his wing before darting away, almost like a game of tag.
"Y'see, dragons can go fly much faster than Runners. Well runners can't fly, Beside that, they can talk and understand you far better too. And not any one can just go and buy a dragon. Although that kinda stinks like a tunnel snake, but it does make them unique and prestiges like. And they're huge, even the greens. I wouldn't even mind a green as long as it was mine." He nodded, funny thing about Kallan, he never ever seemed to notice he should probably leave.

Zigana was in quite the conundrum. She was too shy to tell Kallan to go away and she was definitely too shy to try and talk with him. He just went at a hundred miles an hour and never seemed to stop. The girl glanced at Kalyr and then Kallan, feeling quite disomfitted.
She hugged herself closer, glancing away, sidling automatically a bit closer to Kalyr. She liked him. He was a pleasant, nice sort of fellow. She figured he liked her simply for her and that was a wondorous feeling. She wasn't sure about Kallan.
Zigana licked her lips, hands balled into fists against her stomach. She listened to Kallan, frowning slightly. She bit at her lip and then murmured, quiet, but loud enough for the two to hear, "I don't agree...I think runners are better because anyone can have them so everyone can experience how wonderful they are." She flushed bright red as soon as she was done, head sinking, hiding behind her head again.
Meka was practically despondent when Zelizar left him. His wings drooped, eyes immediately bleeding through the colors of his depression. But the brown soon returned and the bronze came too. Well, this was a party! Meka was instantly excited and happy again. He chirruped and trumpeted, making little circles and loops in the air, almost begging the two for a game.

((Sorry! I dont know what happened... I missed this & Kalyr's other topic =o Naughty panther!))
Kalyr was just about to reply when he heard Zigana chirp up. He turned and looked at her, surprised. He listened, waited for a moment, and then spoke. “Well, Zigana’s got a point, Anyone can have a runner, but dragon’s are able to fly, as Kallan pointed out. And also, I’ve heard that what happens when a dragon impresses you is pretty special, But runner’s are quite comforting.” He couldn’t deny as a lad he had dreamed of a dragon.
“I must say it’s a difficult call.” Kalyr smiled, he looked over at Zigana, offered her a silent apology for allowing the boy in. He felt remarkably guilty as the female became distant again.
Zar buggled and darted around, leading off on a chase, he was fair fast for a flitter, but nothing distinctly beyond average. He danced and wove and flew about the room, making his partner duck out of the way at one part.
“Well we’ve got a trio of rather excited flitters anyway.” He watch as his brown darted around enjoying the festivities of their meeting.

After Kalyr spoke his bit Kallan nodded, "That settles it, we'll just all Impress dragons and then go buy runners, it'll be difficult at first, but I'm sure we'll manage. I hear that runners don't particularly like dragons, but I'll explain it to them." He smiled and looked the two over to see how well they received his brilliant plan. In a flash of true brilliance he noticed Zigana's discomfort. "Um, you okay? Ooo, maybe you need some air. I always say it's a bit dusty in here, what with it just being a temporary fix, they hadn't cleaned it too well. On top of that the flitters would have more room. Yeah, that'd be great you'd see some real stunts then. Quiote's got this cool thing where he does a spiral twirl upwards and then just swoops down and opens his wings ... yeah it's just the best thing since the First Egg."
He blinked and seemed to renoticed the two of them standing there. "Oh yeah, so should we go outside? We really shouldn't be in the girl's Barracks without the CM or ACM. We'd probably get in trouble for this if we were caught." The last bit was said as if he was musing, not quite having realized it before. "Hm. Yeah, that'd suck."
