Thank god guests can post on these things. Okay, so Akki is sorta out of it right now. She spent the night in the hospital but should be released later on today I think. But I don't know if she'll be able to post for a while but she'll try too.
Pretty much what happened was a bunch of us went camping last night and had a bonfire. And it was all good and stuff before it got really windy and the fire blew out of the fire pit. That's when we had a problem. So while we were all grabbing buckets of water Akki noticed that there was booze and a bottle of spray paint (There's a rock at the camp site you put your name on) near the fire. And in a dumb or absolutely brilliant move, she stuck her hand into the fire to pull out the booze and spray paint so they wouldn't erupt into a fireball and kill our tents.
Anyways, she burnt the crap out of her hands. Our friend pulled her back from the fire and her hands are just shredded. All of her fingers are burnt except for the pinky's and thumbs. She's probably missing layers of skin on her palms now. We sent her to the hospital where she's bandaged and everything but she can't really use her fingers. So posting might be hard for her.

daaamn! Akki, brilliance does come at a price.... x.x That was a steep one. Well done to her though for thinking about the booze and the paint - cos... well *shrug* that could have been messsyyyyy n'awwww wish her all of our best, and we shall miss her greatly until she returns, but If i see her online to soon - I'll tell her off  you can't type with burnt fingers... *shakes head* Get well soon akkichan! |

B'awww~ Thanks everyone for the warm wishes c: Marcus printed off all of them when he visited me in the hospital.
I'm out of it now and am typing with my pinky and thumbs so any posts I make will either be short or take me forever to type out.
My hands officially hate me now. Like Marcus said, both index, middle and ring fingers got completely burnt. And my right palm lost a crapload of skin.
What I did was ttly dumb xD But all I could think was
'Those are going to blow up and are tents will die in a fireball of death'
Soyeah. Plus then I was in the hospital smelling like bonfire which sucked. Plus Patrick, the one who yanked me away from the fire, won't stop making fun of me.

Akki, go to Dr. Christopher's website, and get you some of thier Complete Tissue cream. It can't be applied to broken skin so I'll have to wait a bit before I can test it out
But I love you for telling me xD
I'm already loading up on stuff that will hopefully make any scars that I get dissapear
People have been telling me all day long that I should have let them ghetto tents just burn xD
But I couldn't

Vitamin E will help to soften the skin, also, once it's healed enough to have things rubbed in/on.

awww akki! I'm not sure even scrabble is worth that a new one wouldn't cost you that much xD I was more concerned about the affects that a number of burning tents would do to the area! like if it was dry out there (which it probably was) then coulda started an even bigger fire x.x and and and - when you're hands have some sort of skin back on them - bio oil keeps scarring down - makes it fade quicker, makes them ... less ugly. |
