Unbeknownst to the others, who had already left, a few more eggs lay still on the sands. As the silence overtook the sands, one of them let out a tiny crick sound and a dark crack ran like a jagged bit of lightening down one side of an egg.

Akki stood patiently, gladdened by the fact her friends did Impress, and Impressed a beautiful clutch. She watched the rest of the eggs and watched as one started to split, a small smile played on her face as she waited

The egg split around the top, leaving the little dragonet that emerged looking rather comical with a round plate of eggshell perched on its head. The hide was a dark, murky blue, like the depths of a lake. The dragonet shook it's head, irritated, and the piece of shell fell off, leaving the dragonet free to move over the sands.

The little dragon's eyes whirled red with hunger, but it didn't make a noise. The hatchling was mute. ((Ooh, the plot thickens!!)) It struggled to free itself from the cup of shellt hat was it's holding pen, rocking and tipping the shell over, spilling it's occupant to the sand face first.  |

The little blue dragonet pushed itself up with some effort, and waddled in an ungainly fashion towards Akki. It tripped and fell at her feet, gazing up into her eyes. AkkiMine, Thank you for waiting so long for your Ebbeth.[/i] The little blue promptly fell asleep in the sand.  |
