Rahera quickly scurried off to stand with someone. Cristae was a familiar face. "Really crazy!" she exclaimed, wiping her sweaty palms on her robe. "I am sooo nervous. At least I got some sleep. And then I hit my head on the floor and put my robe on backwards. Nerves can rwally twist people up!" She shook her head.
"Can you tell which one will hatch first?" Rahera instantly flinched at the question. No one could tell which one would hatch first! "Sorry, stupid question..." she said, smiling nervously.
Her eyes widened as she saw the first egg split. she leaned forward, eager to see what it was and who it would Impress.

Nike looked around as the last of the Candidates filled in. She hoped Zim would be okay. Then she heard a crack. She then looked at the eggs. one of them was ahcthing! Nike's heart thumbed in her chest faster and faster.

Cristae smiled. "Don't worry about it. But ouch. I was already awake, at least I got some sleep."
She was talking to Rahera, but her eyes were on the egg that looked as if it would be the first to Hatch.

Lelia waved over to Cristae and bit her lip, giving an exxagerated nervous grin across the sea of candidates. "Good luck!" She called out softly.

Rior’s eyes fell upon the egg that was cracking. He shifted his feet nervously as he waited for the dragon inside to reveal itself.

Cristae waved back to Lelia. Taking a breath, she decided not to totally yell. She didn't want to upset any of the dragonets or Heleth.
"Good luck to everyone at that!" She replied, though half of them probably couldn't hear her.

The egg paused in cracking, as if basking in the spotlight of attentiont hat it was getting from the crowd. Then, decisively, came a loud crack and the egg split into three large pieces on the ground, revealing a blue dragonet, slick and wet with egg fluid, sitting in a rather ungainly position on the sand. It's hide was a pale blue, like the sky, and ice blue. Lelia sighed in awe of the dragonet, wondering who it would choose.

"I'm not a morning person at all," Rahera shook her head, still self-conscious about her crazy bedhead. She folded her arms and tapped her finger really quickly on her upper arm. "If my brother was here, and keep in mind he's the calmest, most meditative person I know, he'd be going absolutely nuts!" She smiled, thinking of the ever-calm Rahbe jumping around.
Suddenly, her eyes were glued to the blue dragonet. She really hoped the young thing would choose quickly, or else her heart might jump right out of her chest.

Nike looked at the blue. He was beautiful. No! You can not think about anything. She told herself. The girl kept her face expressionless, but inside her heart was racing. She could feel scared and nervous, but could not think.

A blue! A Noble quick witted thread fighter. The Weyr was obviously going have a decent set of wings for thread fall with many small agile dragons in the air. Though even Remin knew blues impressed males, she simply and whole heartidly watched the clutchmother and the rest of the clutch with the doubt and nervouness dying down.

Cristae grinned at Rahera, then gasped as the blue emerged.
The shading on its hide was beautiful. She had never thought as herself as a bluerider, but it was the dragon that chose. She looked around, then back to the blue.

The blue unfurled itself and began to move across the sands, it's eyes whirling a hungry, confused crimson. Its wet claws gathered a thin layer of sand as it walked, searching among the candidates and crying piteously.

The only thing that showed how NIke was feeling was here eyes. As the blue walked along the sands, her eyes glinted and followed him. They were wide with amazment and wonder.

Cristae eyed the blue. Oh who cared what color she Impressed! Male or female! All dragons were wonderful, and the Weyr would need all of them once Thread came back around. She still continued to shift her feet, both out of nervousness and to keep the heat back a little. She'd remember this day forever!

A blue. He seemed to know that he was the center of everyone’s attention. He was an excellent light shade of blue, Rior thought. Usually a dark color came to mind when he thought of blues. Nevertheless Rior watched the ice blue dragonet, he didn’t seem to want to go.

Nike didn't care if she Impressed a blue, green or gold. But like everyone on the sands, they just wanted to Impress. That was her goal. HEr mother never Impressed, and she wanted to. This was for her mother.

Make a choice, you sharding blue! Rahera thought to herself angrily. If she were a dragonet, she would choose as quickly as possible. But her expression softened, forgetting it was probably faint with hunger. It wasn't his fault for being so, so... slow.
Rahera backed a little away, forcing her eyes away from the blue and onto the other eggs.
