Sorcha huffed softly. She hadn't lived here long and she wasn't well loved by the Weyr anyway. She didn't care much for this display of theatrics. The woman commanded a gold. If she wanted to she could just get it back. Weren't all dragons supposed to listen to a gold? Just command the bronze to do it or something. She could care less for this "problem" but, for the sake of decency, stayed. She might as well stay, leaving now would only cause trouble anyway.
Her blue eyes flicked over the crowd. Some seemed outraged, others helpless. Some of these people had been living with Christae for years. She supposed they cared a lot about this. A smile crossed her face, this event striking her as similiar to another that had just happened. Poor Christae just seemed a magnet for it. Second time in a short amount of time.

Christae turned at the sound of a stranger's voice proclaiming a course of action. Harpers. Christae wouldn't have thought of that in her present state. She sent a look of profound relief to the bronzerider. Once her people got riled up they would be hard to calm.
Send him my thanks love.
My rider wishes to thank you for your timely intervention
"Bronzerider R'zlin is right. We cannot do anything that might cause dragon to go against dragon. As much as I want my son back, I will not jeopardize your safety and the safety of your dragons. We need every rider and dragon if we are to survive Thread. We are understaffed as it is."
"We will appeal to Sh'iron for my son but if he does not conceed we will take the matter to the Harpers. I will not beg him for my son's return but I will have him back. I will not put any of you in danger though. I will be contacting WW Falnor of Benden for a meeting concerning my son's placement."

Kia met Sh'iron a few times. It was mostly during lessons or events like the current. She was by no means friendly with him. SHe knew almost nothing about him. Truthfully, she could care less what he did. He meant little more than Weyrleader before and now next to nothing.
She didn't feel agitated or relieved or happy or sad or anything. Maybe she was a little surprised about his decision but she certainly didn't show it. Her arms were crossed in front of her and her eyes half closed as she gazed at the ground just before her foot.
[glow=red,2,300]Mine, what has happened?[/glow] Sh'iron went back to Benden. He said our weyr was too small for him. He also has taken his and Christae's son with him. When did you wake up?
[glow=red,2,300]Don't change the subject. This is awful.[/glow] I don't find it surprising.
[glow=red,2,300]What do you mean?[/glow] I don't much like people. Most are bad.
[glow=red,2,300]That's a weird statement. You are a human.[/glow] And sometimes I say stupid and hurtful things too.
Kia shrugged so she knew her dragon could not see it. Kylath gave a physical huff of her own and layed her head back down. She had no more to say nor did Kia.

Though everybody had been summoned to the meeting in the bowl, Jessa just couldn't haul herself out of bed. He head was pounding, her eyes were doing funny things, and her stomach was all in knots. Instead of going herself she had sent Aylith, her copper soulmate.
Small though she may have been in comparison to the full grown dragons, Aylith was still a rather obvious observer of the meeting going on before her. Listening and watching, she sent all the images and sounds back to her ill rider. When things got hectic, Aylith took a moment to contact somebody she knew her rider would want to see when this was all over, <*V'koran, there is something wrong with Jessa. I know everybody is busy but can you find somebody to take a look at her? I'm worried...*> Aylith didn't normally bespeak other people but V'koran was special to her rider and that made him a special case, still, her tone was nervous.
*****
C'adyn and Hith had just returned from a hunt when the crowd started to gather in the bowl and rather than going back to their weyr to remove Hith's straps and C'adyn's flying gear, they just landed a short distance from the crowd. Even at the distance they held from Christae as she spoke, C'adyn heard every word and bristled. He may not have known the WL or the WW well but what the jerk did to her was uncalled for. He had faith that the Weyr would be fine under Christae's leadership, he just wished she had somebody to help her all the same. Weyrs were meant to be led by a pair.
((ooc: and because i got asked this already, no there's nothing seriously wrong with Jessa, its just a migraine. Aylith doesn't know what it is and its scaring her a bit, and Jessa is too out of it to tell her otherwise...))

R'zlin gave a nod of acknowledgement, relief lighting his face before he took a step back to remeld with the crowd. How unfortunate it would be, for dragon to go against dragon. Riranyth relayed the queens remarks. The bronze was mildly pleased that they had done well, but the importance of this situation wouldn't allow it to get to his head.
"Well, it seems you saved the day" C'ben grinned as he murmered his words over to the bronzerider, his earlier animosity now gone. R'zlin gave his friend a rather awkward look, not sure what to make of the brownrider at this time. "I say what needs to be said. You should know that by now" Silence followed, but it was to become attentive once more to what was going on around them.
