K'dan was out in the weyrbowl after just having washed Hydrath. The blue flew to a sunny spot to dry off and K'dan was walking around on his own. Sharan was not with him, the bronze was nestled away on his bed. Lazy flitt. He thought to himself. He enjoyed the cool afternoon breeze as he walked along. He found where Hydrath was and started walking towards him. It seemed so empty today, as if he were the only one around. Odd how he felt so distanced and alone today. He wasn't really sad or anything, infact he was in a pretty good mood. He just found it odd how quiet it seemed at this moment.

Nike slipped into the Weyr Bowl just in time to see K'dan heading over to Hydrath. She smiled, and then placed a hand on her growing stomach. Zim perched on her shoulder, and cherped softly. A little sigh escaped her lips as she headed over to her weyrmate. Her ankles had started to swell, and she was getting even more, and more tired. But, she was reassued every day by the other Healers, and riders who had given birth. Ruanth was sleeping on the Rim. The Healer smiled up at the little white dragon. Firelizards, wild, and not, were perched all over her. Nike then turned her attention back to K'dan, and quickened her pace to catch up with the blue rider,

K'dan walked over to Hydrath and scratched the blue's eyeridges. The blue nudged him and he looked over to notice Nike coming his way. He walked over to her and grabbed her hands and gave her a light kiss. "Hello", he said cheerfully. He walked her over to Hydrath where he originally was. "How are you feeling?", he asked her and rubbed her stomach.

Nike smiled as K'dan led her over to Hydrath.
Hello. She said to the blue, and stroked his neck. The Healer leaned against K'dan, and smiled.
"I feel fine," She said, and nuzzled her head against the blue rider's neck. "Our child's heart beat can be heard," She said softly.
"Another healer said that she heard it while she was checking up on me."

Hello Nike. The dragon crooned when she stroked his neck. "That's great", K'dan said enthusiastically. When she leaned against him he played with her hair. After a few moments he removed the other hand that was holding her hand and covered his mouth to cough a bit. He smiled at her then sat down and propped up against Hydrath. "No sense in standing around. Why don't we sit for a moment", he said, looking up at her.
