Nira ran after R'dal, following him to the feeding pens. As they arrived Nira saw her large green beauty just arriving.
I am so sorry, Niramine. It cannot be helped.Siarath bugled loudly.
Nira watched as Siarath ferociously killed the first beast. It is okay. Nira assured the large green. She then realized what was going on. Blood it Siarath. Only blood it. She pushed. Siarath did not want to only blood it. She wanted to eat the whole tasty meal, blood and meat. Only blood it! Nira reinforced. After a bit of fighting Siarath gave up.
What a time. Kaith was flying so all of the riders of greens, the white, the copper, and the gold, had to leave the Weyr. Now at Ista, Siarath had to choose this time to fly. Most of the male riders that she knew were chasing Kaith. She was surrounded by strangers, no one she knew. Who would catch Siarath? How would it work out? Would she be forced to transfer?
Thoughts had to be pushed out as Siarath blooded the creature dry and launched herself, attacking her second meal. Nira continued to make sure that Siarath only blooded, this was so hard. She gripped the fence, her knuckles turning white as she urged the green to only blood. This was not the time to worry about the future.

Elith blooded his next kill and soon another. Soon he would be finished and ready to chase the large green. "This must be hard for you for your dragon to rise here. None of the riders you know would be here to chase her", he said to her. He put his arm around her and gave her a bit of a hug to try to comfort her. He could only watch as Elith was preparing to chase after Siarath.

B'ron the brownrider looked up in surprise as he heard a bugle, "That sounds like a..." He voice cut off as he heard an answering bugle from his brown before it lauched off the weyrledge to go towards the feeding pens. He ran out of the weyrwatching as his brown began to blood beasts viciously in preparation for a flight. He ran down the stairs cursing his slowness on the uptake. He looked to see who the female was who's green was flying and found that he didn't recognize her. It took him a few more seconds to realize that this was the day of Dark moon's queen had risen. He had heard the rumors going around that the queen was getting close to rising. He winced mentally thinking what might have happened had the green stayed any longer and risen in the same weyr as the queen.

((Actually....greens dont blood...and if they do it is only one...the greens dont need as much strength for sustained flight as a gold...golds need the blood for their mating heat to rise...greens just rise...))
Mneith bugled a challenge as the lovely green rose for her first mating flight. The large brown blooded one kill, his eyes whirling red with mating lust. He was the largest brown on Pern. He would not be shown up by these small Istan browns. Rhia cursed. "Shells and shards. I should have stayed at Fort! Gylfie, find G'han. Tell him that Siarath is rising and Mneith gives chase."
The little green flitt zoomed excitedly about her mistress's head and then popped off to find the bronzerider. Rhia knew that it was useless. Gerenanth was involved in Kaith's flight at any rate and G'han wouldn't be able to call him back under no circumstances. She could only hope that Mneith didn't catch the large green. "What a day for Siarath to fly!" She sighed. This would be another awkward flight. The last time Mneith had chased a lusty dragon, Kaith's first flight in fact, the twins had been conceived. She wouldn't let that happen again, but if the brown happened to catch the green....
The brownrider broke away from that line of thinking. If worse came to worse, the two female riders could pair off with other male riders. Kaith's rising had probably triggered Siarath. The green was more than mature enough for her maiden flight. Rhia winced and hoped that Nira had lost her virginity. Dragonlust wasn't gentle at any time, no matter how good the man's intentions, the dragons always took over.
Siarath, my lovely green. You do not want these strange dragons. Choose me. Rhia wished for the thousandth time that she had remained at Fort Weyr when she had gone to summon Sh'iron. She should have accepted the Fort Weyrwoman's offer of hospitality until Kaith's flight had finished.

((All right. Sorry about that.))
Siarath finished blooding her first kill. She bugled challengingly, her eyes staring wildly at all of her chasers. Bugling once again Siarath pumped her wings and raised herself off of the ground. With another flap she shot forward, away from any potentail mates. Sor.. Siarath began but then bugled mockingly at the dragons.
She was no longer sorry for flying. THis was her right, Nira should know that. Her mine should not be holding her back, the two should fly freely together.
Nira's worried face glanced unhapily as Siarath flew off. Oh, what a time. She could feel Siarath pulling her in, her eyes slowly becoming Siarath's. She saw glimpses of the sky, then glimpses of the fence, back and forth. Clenching tightly to the fence she took a deep breath.
Siarath spiraled around, but kept heading straight. What a feeling!

Soon a blue shape winked into view, coming from the dreaded and cold /Between/. Soon the dragon, for that's what he was, came larger and larger as he sped towards the ground, wasting no time doing any spirals. He landed with a 'Thump' and impatiently waited for his rider to get off, taking the riding straps with her.
Akki quickly scrambled to get everything off of Ebbeth after she slid off, her hands moving in a blur. In her head everything seemed to be moving slowly, time itself seemed to slow down, her hands in front of her barely seemed to move. Or so she saw.
Moments before she was contently at Dark Moon, relaxing with Ebbeth near by. But then all riders of male dragons were told to come to Ista, the news tinged with growing urgency as it was spread Siarath was rising, and somewhere where Nira didn't really know anyone.
Soon Ebbeth was ready, and his eyes whirling red with lust, he sprang into the air as his wings pumped as he gained height. He would not be showed up by the others, he wouldn't allow it he snarled to himself as he met up with the other dragon flying, trying to catch the large green. No one else is worthy, but me! Ebbeth cried out, stretching himself to seem longer.
Akki wished in her heart that Ebbeth wouldn't catch Siarath, she didn't even want him to take part of the flight, but she had no choice she thought as she raced towards the other riders where she stopped and looked at the dragons following the large green in a desperate attempt to catch her. After all, this was nature for them. A metallic taste was in her mouth as she watched the dark blue hide of her blue reach the other dragon. She glimpsed at Nira, who didn't look so good and then at Rhia, who was probably silently cursing.

Elith took off with a burst of speed gaining ground on the green. It is me you want my love. I shall be yours. The big brown lurked ever closer on the green determined to catch her. No other dragon would stop him. R'dal's mind slowly started pulling into Elith's. ~We can do this. You can catch her~, he said encouragingly to his brown.

B'ron watched as his dragon launched into the sky after the green. He had just a few moments to take in the fact that others had joined in the flight before he was drawn into his dragon. He felt the muscles strain as the dragon pumped its wings and gained enough altitude to follow the green. He smiled, revealing his fangs, as the wind smoothly went over and under his body. His sight focused on the green body moving in front of him. *You will be mine. I shall catch you.* The brown said to the green. He was sure that he could catch her, these other dragons were, of course, inferior.

Mneith pumped his large wings with ease. He hadn't tired himself out with drills today. Kaith's mating flight had interrupted the drills before they even started. All of the Dark Moon bronzes were still tearing off after Kaith and would be in no condition to chase after his lovely green even if they did come. Mneith didn't view Ebbeth as a threat and he was larger than the Istan browns. He bugled a challenge to the beautiful green. The others are inferior my dear Siarath. Choose me

Ebbeth didn't even both to survey the others, at the moment he didn't even think they were worth his thoughts, he was too absorbed in the luscious green that was in front of him. Akki once more wished that Ebbeth didn't catch Siarath before she began to slip away, only to become Ebbeth. She saw the blue of shapes, saw the colour of each hide that was in Ebbeth's view. They are not worthy! Ebbeth repeated as he silently bugled.

Siarath folded her wings and shot down toward the ground. The wind rushed all around, matching the excitement inside her. Niramine don't hold back. Siarath urged. The feeling is wonderful. So wonderful. Siarath bugled.
Nira could hold back no longer. After a final attempt she became one with Siarath, there eyes seeing the same picture, and there body moving as one.
A few minutes later she swerved and flapped her wings so that she flew upward. Once high enough she paused to look over and see where the others were. Shocked, she realized that the other dragons weren't far off she shot forward again. How did they get so close to her! They truly were strong browns, Siarath thought about that, and a blue. She noted remembering one blue was chasing her.She didn't quite know who that blue was for she had been too rushed to escape her pursuers.

Elith sped up as well. He could do this, he could catch Siarath. He flew upwards and put himself to be flying above her. At the right moment he would dive down and try to catch her. As he flew up he made a spiral and looped before straightening himself out. A move meant to impress the green and one that didn't expand his strength. R'dal looked up at the dragons and remembered back to just previously. Would his moment with her be cut off so short. His dragon had to catch her. He no longer held back, he was determined. His mind fully shifted to his dragon and the two were one.

Ebbeth saw a dragon above Siarath and with a snarl plastered on his face he stretched his wings to their greatest and pumped hem, inching closer to the green. He could feel the fact his mine didn't want him to catch Siarath, but he dismissed as his full attention went to the green ahead of him. Nothing mattered now, he would catch her, he had too.

Siarath pumped her wings to make herself fly upward even higher when she saw Ebbeth approaching from below. She shrieked in surprised as her green body bumped off of another hide. Frightened by this unexpected contact, Siarath shot out, flicking her tail around in urgency to escape. So quickly had she been trapped by two of the dragons.

Elith thought he had Siarath when she bumped into him but as he went for her he missed as she darted off. He darted off as well and headed for her. He stretched out his neck and tail, he was close, so very close now.

Luck was on his side, if his head was a bit closer to her he would have been hit by her tail as she flew away quickly from the others. He stayed where he was for a moment before he regiestered that she slipped farther away. He saw a dragon flash by him, heading towards Siarath before he quickly tried to catch up. His wings pumped furiously, his neck stretched to the full extent, but the other dragon was still ahead of him by a bit.

Siarath fliped half way, causing her to turn around. She flew back the way they came, gliding on her back. He wings stayed still and outstreched as the wind carried her. She bugled happily, yet still slightly challenging to the browns and blue.

The brown snarled as the others moved close enough to touch the green. He pumped his wings harder and moved closer trying to muscle his way closer to the green and catch her. The only problem was that greens were small and made for speed but that didn't matter for her would catch her. He wouldn't stay for another dragon to catch her when he could. He inched closer and closer to the diving and flipping green trying to follow her despite all her tricks.

The green slipped by Elith again, another hit and miss. He spiraled around and flew after the green like a dart. You are quick and elusive my love but I shall catch you. He gained ever closer on her. Dragon and rider were determined to catch her.

He was so close when she flipped and twirled past him. Quickly, he twisted his body and flew after her, but by now there were others in front of him. Anger bubbled up inside of him as he pumped his wings even faster, determined to catch up to her. In a matter of moments he was only inches behind the others, soon not even two inches behind. I will catch you. Ebbeth said, emphasizing the word 'will' as he flew.
