Wolf didn't actually think any one would've considered her oddly chosen name as cool. "Thanks," she said, in between his first and second sentence, smirking all the while. 'I think we'll get along just fine,' she thought to herself. So far, from what she could tell, to her Jakel seemed like a boy who was unafraid to speak his mind and well informed. Whether or not she happened to be right was a whole different matter. Wolf wasn't in the least bit surprised that he (like every one else) wanted to know how her injury had occurred. Truth be told she was surprised that she still couldn't recall it.
"I just don't know," she half-whispered, her arms resting limply on either side of her as she looked off to the side. She was currently trying to remember the day before the beach incident... "I guess I-I can't remember," she added. 'Do I know the real answer to this one? Maybe I'll remember in time, I hope.' The only thing really troubling her now was that she was being confined to this room and not allowed out with out an escort.
She was beginning to wonder if she should ask where the bathing-area was and then make a break for it? No... it'd have to be more precisely planned then that... She didn't want any one involved in her life, she didn't think any of them would ever come to understand what she was really going through or care.

"No problem. I forget things all the time." Jakel laughed. He sat at the edge of her bed and stared at the girl, as if studying her. "Soo...." he said slowly, not really having any idea of what to say. "Where are you from?" He asked, still blank in the head.

Wolf felt herself stiffen as she noticed his examination of her. He sure had a lot of questions to ask, not that she minded, it was nice to know some one was interested. "I'm from Benden Hold, where are you from?" she asked him. Benden surely wasn't the last place she had been but it was where she had been born... She didn't take her eyes off of him, wondering if he'd think her overly attentive. His company was nice, she had nearly forgotten what it was like to have a real conversation just because she had felt like talking to some one (other then herself).

"Malis Hold. It is a very small fishing hold, like Half Circle Sea Hold." He smiled. "Can I just ask a bunch of questions at one, instead of one at a time?" He asked, laughing at his own sentance.

Wolf chuckled, playing with her tunic fabric. "Yeah, go ahead." 'Does he really have that many things to ask me?' she thought to herself, unsure of whether or not he had been serious. She scanned him for a moment, somewhat suspicious as of now. 'Did they send him here to get information out of me?' she wondered, feeling bad all of a sudden. 'No, no... I'm sure its nothing like that.' She attempted at a friendly-smile.

Jakel smiled. "Cool. Ok, How old are you? Do you have any pets? What do your parents do? What color dragon do you want? How long have you wanted to be a dragonrider? Who is your best friend? " Jakel paused to think. "What do you like to do in your free time? Finally, do you have any questions for me?" Jakel said all of it in two breaths, breaking his breath when he paused to think. He took a big breath and laughed, so glad to be able to talk to someone.

Wolf chuckled, not used to this kind of attention from some one. 'And let me ask you something, have you always been this... curious?' she thought to herself. She put her arms behind her head as another unsaid thought entered her mind. "Well, to your first question-" she began, trailing off as she laughed some more, "I'm 14. To your second question? I don't have any pets. To your third question?" She paused for a moment, feeling a lump form in her throat as some memories flooded back to her (of when she was a child). "I..." she blinked, biting her lip nervously. "My mom...she died, when I was 8."

"Don't worry. My mom died right after I was born." Jakel was still smiling. "Keep answering." He pushed her mentally.

(( -_-' Hello every one. I'm at school on the computer, I'm hoping by today my mother will have ungrounded me from my computer 'privileges.' Aye'. This weekend I'm hoping to go to Rachel's house (one of my only friends... )) She could see he was most assuredly eager to hear what she had to answer for the rest of his common questions. "Well, to be quite honest, I really want to become a Dragonrider but I've always seen myself as a high rider of the skies... on the back of a Golden queen." She brushed a lock of her long bangs away and looked down, wondering how he'd view her now, "selfish huh?" It had been a rhetorical question but even then... She hadn't meant for it to sound in the least bit selfish or arrogant, its just that there was no greater feeling then knowing that you mattered to the world of Pern and that you were on the greatest beast of all... She had never actually seen a Golden queen until the time when she saw Christae's gold. How magnificent she really was, that reassured Wolf all the more that she wanted to devote her life to being a Dragonrider. "Its not likely though, you know, many dream but few achieve," she shrugged.

Jakel shrugged. "A lot of girls want to ride on a gold dragon. It is always good to try and overachieve, or something like that. I don't remember the exact thing but it is better to try to do better than worse, right?" He explained, but really didn't understand what the saying had meant until his father told him a few turns back. "I personally just want a dragon. I mean, people say that even hoping to become a dragon-rider at all is selfish, don't they? I think.." he mumbled on.
"Anyways, you still haven't answered all of my questions. Who is your best friend? What do you like to do in your best time? And after all of my questions, which I am sure you have had enough of, do you have any questions for me?" He laughed, thinking about all of the times people told him he had way too many questions.

She nodded, agreeing with him. "I suppose... when you put it that way..." she blinked. "When it comes right down to it I just want to impress too." She sighed, smiling gently at him as her stomach's numbness didn't seem to decrease any.
"On my free time I generally read or write. I've always found indulging myself in other things is far more promising then facing the ugly truth of reality." She bit her lip, knowing she sounded awful bitter. "I know its not that way for all people, just the one's who have things they'd prefer not to remember..." The paused for a long moment, debating on whether or not she'd answer the one question. 'My best friend? I hardly know...' she thought to herself. 'Once up on a time I did know...' "My best friend?" she repeated, sitting-up now as best she could. "Rox-" she trailed off, soon parting her lips to speak once more, "Roxis."

"What is she like?" Jakel asked curiously. "And then you can ask me question." Jakel smiled. "Sorry, I am bored." Jakel admitted.

Other people, that weren't Wolf, may have taken his boredom comment offensively. "I'm sure most people would assume that my best friend would be a girl, wouldn't they?" she smirked. She laid back down, watching him every second. She went straight to asking him a question, she didn't want to think about Him, she just couldn't. What was he even like now? Oh, how long it'd be... "Where do you live and who's your best friend?" she asked him curiously.

"I did, didn't I?" He added, he was about to ask what HE was like, but realized she didn't want to talk about it. Well, when she wanted she would tell. Until then... "Well, I used to live in a small hold, but now I live here. Even if I don't impress I am going to live here. And, I never really had a best friend at home. There were only girls because all of the other boys were out fishing, and I did not like any of those girl, they were all flirting and stuff. Very awkward. When I came here Akki became my best friend, but with all of the new candidates, I am have been making a lot of friend." Jakel smiled. "And now, you are my friend."

Wolf listened, smiling excitedly at the thought. 'Flirtatious girls huh? I think I can see why...' she thought to herself, another thought soon beginning shortly after. 'A new friend already, plus I want to keep this one this time...' "I'm not too sure where to call my home now, I feel so lost. I guess I never really had a home... or if I did..." she frowned, "I can't remember." She looked around, never having forgotten what she had wanted to do in the first place. "Man do I want to leave here," she muttered to herself fairly silently. All she wanted to do was look for the boy, the boy of her past in who was nothing but a faint memory.

Jakel looked at Wolf. "Well, like me, this is now your home. Unless you want to leave... But then again, how can you even hope to impress a gold without standing?" He smirked. He then realized that the girl had been laying for what was no doubt a long time. He stretched his own body, then stood up. "How long does she have to be in here?" He asked whatever healers were still in the room.

Wolf couldn't help but smirk also, crossing her arms, "that's more then true. I'm likely going to stick around."
Her surprise shone through at Jakel's question for it proved some concern for her unhappy situation. She looked to the Healers, hoping one of them would answer so she could verify whether or not she'd be breaking any rules by leaving now.

The Healer looked up from what she was doing when the sound of Jakel's voice was directed at her, well not her specifically. She turned and surveyed the girl, calculating in her mind when she could leave. She opened her mouth to answer, then closed it, changing her answer before saying, "I suppose it would be all right if she left right now.". She looked at Wolf, and said, "However, you should not exert yourself for a bit.".

Jakel smiled. He got off of the bed. "Good." He grabbed her hand and pulled her off of the bed. "Come on. You said you wanted to leave so we are leaving." Jakel laughed.

Wolf looked nothing less then ecstatic, holding on to his head rather tightly as she slipped off of the bed. "Finally," she grinned, still holding the boy's hand even now as she stood by his side. She seemed to be waiting for him to take the lead, not wanting to seem rude, although she didn't want him to question her intentions either. The less people that questioned her motives the better. "Is there like a...er'... Candidate bathing-area or something?" she blushed, wanting nothing more then to take a bath as to wash away all the dirt that currently resided all over her body. She felt completely gross, not a feeling she ever wanted to experience again and if she stayed here she had a feeling she wouldn't have to, this place seemed rather pleasant plus every one seemed mirthful from what she could tell.
