All she wanted was her energy to return to her, was that too much to ask? Apparently so. Wolf nodded to Christae, giving a smirk as a "thanks" was said. Wolf then turned to Siarath's rider, nodding her head lightly as the girl attempted to cover-up her most evidential worry. "Yeah, real convincing," Wolf teased (not having meant for it to sound rude by no means). Wolf frowned as they were carrying her off to the infirmary, eyes fixed on the Golden Queen as well as the Green Searchriding dragon. "Bye..." she whispered, looking off to the side as her sadness turned to anger. 'We'll see each other again, some big joke R-' her thoughts trailing-off as she savored yet another look at the pair of dragons and their riders. 'Their lucky... to have partners...'

((Nike was fifteen when she Impressed Tirith. So it would be four Turns, and she is now 19. Amazing how time flies. She was only fifteen last June.))
Nike looked down at the girl. Strange she was. Shaking her head, she ordered the Healers to place her on a bed. Once Nike's hands were clean from Redwort, the Healer walked over to the girl and the other Healers were taking off her old clothes, and preparing her for surgery. IN her hand was a cup of liquid with fellis juice in it. This would put the girl to sleep, and relive her from pain as they operated on her. "I want you to drink this, Wolf," The Healer said slowly lifting the girl's head up and placing the cup by Wolf's lips.

((Well. Nira a little less then two years and training. Then there is the time between the next hatching and about one year of the other weyrling. SO it has been about three or four years. Are we making it so that they always stay the same age?))
Nira blushed slightly when she noticed Wolf easily saw her worry.
Siarath snorted with amusment and nuzzled her rider. Do not worry mine. It is natural. The green chuckled as she watched the girl be carried off.

Wolf looks to Nike, fear being the most noticeable thing in the girl's eyes. She slowly brought her hand up to push the cup away from her mouth, "where am I?" she asked, not wanting to have to be out for a few hours. Did they have to operate now? The pain coursing through her body told her yes... "I need to know," she added, her voice low.
Wolf hoped that maybe she'd be able to see the Queen and Green rider as well as their dragons, soon. Wolf rubbed the side of her head lightly as a headache began. Her throat ran dry, not having had anything to quench her thirst for a while. She shoved her elbows behind her so that her front-half was raised, able to more easily see her surroundings.

"You are in Dark Moon Weyr's infimary. Now please drink this, and we will tell you everything else later," Nike urged as she nodded to the other Healers as they prepared the things.
((Short, I know, But I don't have much to work with.))

Wolf could see that the girl was being persistent. "Dark Moon... Dark Moon..." she said slowly, repeating it twice as she let the name roll off of her tongue. "Nope, never heard of it," Wolf joked. 'How can I possibly joke at a time like this?' she winced, wondering how she did anything these days. Wolf took the cup in her hands, taking in the scent of the mixture as she wondered what it was. She slowly glanced over at Nike, wondering if she could trust the healer. She didn't see why not, she appeared nice enough, as deceiving as appearances were. "Alright," Wolf coughed, placing her left hand over her mouth as her throat began to tingle.
Wolf brought the drink up to her lips, tipping the cup as she drank down the liquid within. She reached out groggily to hand the cup to Nike, eyes becoming heavier by each passing moment. Wolf laid back on the pillow, eyes closing. Minutes had gone by and she couldn't understand why she was so tired, unaware of what the liquid had been for. "That drink of yours packs a kick," she managed to utter, chuckling at her own words. The girl kept her eyes closed, her long hair framing her face. Half asleep she called out, "Roxis..." The silence, the dreading silence, a dream beginning as soon as the sleep hit...

Nike sighed as Wolf spoke. This girl was going to be a problem. Shaking her head, The Healer took the mug away and place it on a table. Nike walked over to the basin where Healers were washing their arms in redwort. She did the same, then walked up to Wolf, and started working on the girl.
((We should fade away, then come back after she is fixed. But she will be numb.))

(( OOC| Yeah... sounds reasonable enough. *Smiles.* ))
Wolf awoke, eyes slowly coming open as a numbness was felt in her stomach. "By the first egg," she swore, looking this way and that. She went to sit up, as before, edging her elbows behind her. "Hello?" she called out, almost as if she was in a restaurant. "Well, to no one in particular, thanks..." Her eyes became somewhat teary as she looked to the ceiling, thankful for her life. "So, back to what we were talking about before," she called out. "Dark Moon Weyr". The operation sure hadn't changed her one bit, she was still the same girl. "Nope, I swear, I just don't recall it... Are you sure you don't have the name wrong or something?"
She sighed, looking about the room once more. She wanted to see, to see if he was here, waiting for her...

((we are not making them stay the same age...the chronological side of this weyr is nuts....k so Christae is now about 20 as well as Sh'iron and Rhia..and the older ones of the weyr...Sr. W'lings are around 18 or so? and the new w'lings should be around 14-16....preferrably younger.....this is only if everyone agrees....and Thread will be falling within the next two Turns or so....after this thread of course..))
Chrisate had gone to take care of Weyr business while Nike was in surgery with the new Candidate Wolf. She finished with her paperwork and went into the Lower Caverns to get something to eat. She nibbled on a pastry that the cook slipped her. She chuckled at herself when she hid the pastry from a passing rider. The gesture reminded her of when she and the other former Candidates would pilfer the pastries from the cooks and hide when people came.
How times had changed since then. Nike was a Master Healer. Akki had withdrawn somewhat to the company of her dragon and rarely flew. Rhia was a mother and Wingsecond. Nira wasn't one of their original crew but she had more of a place than anyone. She and Siarath were doing well even though the green had not yet shown any inclination to mate. The newcomers had settled in well and the Weyr was prospering. The small weyr was training hard for Thread and they had convinced some of the holders to tithe a bit more. All-in-all, Dark Moon was doing very well for itself. Sure, they had a couple of troublemakers, but they were not anything more than an annoyance.
Christae made her way over to the Infirmary to inquire after the new girl's health. She heard someone talking inside the stone room but she didn't go in. She knew better than to enter a room where surgery had taken place or was taking place. She could cause the Healer to slip and seriously injure the patient's chances of recovery. She leaned against the wall and resigned herself to wait.

Wolf muttered, rolling her eyes. "Fine, don't answer me, I wasn't thinking any one wanted me that much alive anyway," she said. Wolf smirked, knowing that it wasn't the full truth, having said the comment sarcastically. She clutched the blanket to her body, looking this way and that for her clothing as she got-up off of the operation table. The numbness was still there but at least she found it easier to walk...
Wolf looked down, spotting her clothes folded neatly next to where she had been laying. She picked them up, putting them on quickly in case some one had decided to drop by. "Now to look for him," she said to herself, shaking her hair out some. Boy did she want to take a shower, the sandiness remaining in her hair. She gagged humorously, heading out in the exact direction Christae happened to be. "Free as a wild wherrie," she chuckled. As soon as she stepped out the entrance she turned to look to Chirstae, eyes widening as she took a few steps back. "Oh, ah, hello there." She saluted the Weyrwoman, a grin of innocence plastered on the girl's face. "I didn't see you there, I apologize..." She looked down at her wher-hide boots, feeling bad for having tried to make a brake for it. 'At least she can see clear as day that I'm alright now...' she thought to herself, wondering if she'd now be in trouble for her attempted escape.

Christae looke up in surprise when she heard footsteps in the stone corridor. She looked up and saw Wolf. "What are you doing up? You aren't supposed to be out of bed. Nike will have my hide if I let you stay up. Back to bed with you Wolf. You can't be going around the Weyr with your wounds just recently stitched closed. You will undo all of the work that Nike did."
Christae shooed the girl back into her room and made certain that she didn't go anywhere. "You will have time enough to explore your new home later. Now you need to rest. When you are released by the Healers I promise I will personally give you a tour of Dark Moon. For now though you need rest. You had us all scared that you wouldn't make it. Siarath and Kaith have not relaxed since we arrived.
~ Kaith tell the others that she is fine.[i/]~
I will and that is good to hear.. Kaith spoke to the other dragons that had been involved in the rescue and then spoke to Wolf. We are glad that you are well.

Siarath and Nira waited by the room, but outside. Nira had not stopped worrying the whole time. Though nervous, Siarath did her best to reassure her mine.
Please relax, Niramine. Kaith has just informed me that the surgery went well. Siarath relayed Kaith's message.
"Thank goodness." Nira said aloud as she hurried inside. She made her way to the room where the surgery to place. She noticed the door was open and she peaked her head inside.
"Hello?" She asked, hope filling her voice. She slowly walked inside. "How is our patient doing?" She asked with concern.
****************************
Jakel walked down the hallway. He knocked on each door and waited for a voice. If it didn't come he moved on. He peeked through the open doors but most were empty. He came along one already opened door and peaked in.
Upon seeing the Weyrwoman he rushed in and bowed. "Excuse me, Weyrwoman Chri..." He paused as he saw the girl in the bed, her hair filled with sand.
"I appolagize. Did I interrupt something?" He asked appolagetically. wondering if he once again rushed into something.

Christae looked up and smiled. "I haven't talked to the Healers yet but she looks like she is doing fine. She was up and about so I sent her back to bed."
She walked over to where there was a pitcher of water was kept at all times in the rooms. She poured herself a glass and then offered water to Wolf and Nira.
She turned when Jekel entered. "No, you didn't interrupt anything. Anything I can do for you?" She smiled a welcome to the Candidate.

Nike sighed as she walked out of her small tiny office, off of the infirmary. In her hands was a noteboard, and a pice of clean, off-white paper was on it. In her other hand was a black, ink pen. She was one of the lucky few who had recived one. Same with the paper. Zim and Crystal were on her shoulders as normal. The healer had donded new clothes, the sleeves rolled up to show redwort stained arms. Her pale skin could still be seen.
The Healer had always kept note of all her patients. The other healers did too. All the notes were put together to form "The Dark Moon Healing Record." Well atleast part of it. Nike always wrote done who, what, where, when, why, and how the patient healed. If they died or not. Right not, she was filled out Wolf's. "I'm still going to need more information about the girl," Nike muttered to Zim and Crystal. The gold cherped. That caused Nike to look up.
The door to Wolf's room was open. A boy was also peekint in. Sighing, the Healer put the cap of her pen over the tip, and walked up to him. Peering over his shoulder, she saw Christae and Nira standing there. Wolf was also awake. "Excuse me, but why are you all disturbing my patient?" Nike asked, her eyebrows raised. The Healer walked into the room.

Wolf mumbled as she was was, with out a choice, sent back to lying up on the bed (this time fully clothed). "Hello to you too," she teased, putting her hands behind her head. "Thank-you, for having gotten me here in time to save my life." She grinned widely as Kaith's voice came in to her head. "Thanks, it means a lot coming from the superior Gold," she chuckled, hoping she wouldn't take it the wrong way. She felt an attachment the the pair of rider's, one that she didn't think would be broken easily. She smiled as Nira entered. "Hey, long time no see!" she laughed, glad to see the worry (that had once been there before she left) gone from the girl's eyes. She began to wonder if she was taking this near death experience too calmly... Was He all that really mattered to her? If these people were really her friends she should've trusted them enough to tell them about Him, right? At the sight of the boy, Jakel, she seemed a little more surprised. She soon realized he was here sully for the Weyrwoman and she became a little less tense. She didn't say anything to him, figuring it might've not been her place. A smirk appeared up on her facial expression as she thought of both Kaith and Siarath yet again. What a pair there were, so unique and ever-so-kind, especially for dragons that were not bonded to her...
Her gaze led her back to the boy, wondering if it was impolite to not say anything to a fellow Candidate. 'Am I even considered a Candidate yet? I guess I'll see sooner or later...' "Hi," she half-whispered, now hoping that she had indeed gone unheard. It was quite a situation she had gotten herself in to, getting hurt at a time like this. 'Gosh, first impressions are vital!' she thought. Wolf looked to Nike, shrinking under the blankets more some, "its not like I was doing back flips plus there not disturbing me any, I'd rather not be in a infirmary talking to myself again." She quickly raised a hand up and over her mouth, hoping she hadn't sounded like she thought she may have sounded, which was errogant... "I, well, I-I... Being alone isn't my forte?" She chuckled nervously, smoothing out some of the wrinkles in the middle of the blanket with her right hand.

Jakel meerly stood there as the Weyrwoman spoke, then Nike came back, slightly disturbed, and then the injured girl spoke. Jakel walked inside so that Nike could go inside. He decided he would confront everyone in order.
"Weyrwoman Christae. I was just wondering if you know when Kaith might fly. I mean, I do have fun helping out around the Weyr with the chores because I get to meet so many new peple but I am just so very curious." He smiled widely.
Jakel then turned to face Nike and bowed slightly. "I am sorry healer Nike. I was just in search for Weyrwoman Christae. Besides," He smiled at the patient's words. "she liked the company."
He then walked over to Wolf. "Hey there. I am Jakel. Are you a new candidate?" He asked hopefully. They needed more candidates.
**************************
Nira smiled. "I appolagize. I just wanted to make sure the sugery went well. I will be off now." She walked out of the room, satisfaction written all over her face.

Nike raised an eyebrow at Wolf, then walked into the room. "First off, you may walk around, but it will have to wait until tomorrow. If you do, you must have someone there with you. Second, by the time the numbweed and fellis juice wears off, you won't want to walk around in the Weyr," She said, then gave a smile to ease her words.
"Mark my words, you won't be alone soon enough," Turning to Jakel, Nike cocking her head. "You may keep her company, but you must come and get one of the healers if she starts feeling pain. And that means that you have to be honest about your pain," The Healer said her last words fo Wolf, pointing her finger. Nike then turned to Nira. "You don't have to leave, but the next time you want to visit a patient right after surgery, you must come to me, or another Healer first. Okay?" She asked the green rider.

Christae raised her eyebrows, slightly annoyed at the accusatory tone in the Healer's voice. "Wolf walked out of the infirmary and I met up with her in the hall. I was coming to check with you on her progress and was waiting for you outside. I made her go back in her room and was staying with her to make sure she didn't go blundering about the weyr so soon after surgery."
She turned to Jakel. "Kaith should be rising any day now. I can't give you an exact date. She knows when she will rise but all I get out of her is soon. She won't tell me when she will rise. Before the month is over though she will rise." She smiled. "I will be starting classes for you Candidates. You will need to know things beforehand about your dragonets so that nothing goes wrong at the Hatching."
Christae sincerely hoped that no one would panic and Candidate classes helped with that. The only thing she hoped she had to worry about was maulings. Those seemed to be inevitable.

Wolf eyed the Healer, not saying anything as she crossed her arms. She looked over at Christae, disturbed by the fact that the Golden rider was made to feel like she had done something wrong. None of them had done anything wrong, though Nike hadn't said they had... She was simply reconfirming the 'patient' rules with them. Wolf looked over at Jakel, swallowing hard.
"Yeah, I'm a new Candidate... Its nice to meet you Jakel, you can call me Wolf. Are there few Candidate's?" she asked him, a concern in her voice as she tilted her head some. She had forgotten completely about everything else for the moment, wrapped-up in the conversation Jakel had started. 'I hope there aren't that few, it wouldn't be a good thing, would it?'
Wolf looked back to Nike, something that she had said finally registering in her brain. 'Hey, its not like this guy's my babysitter and shard it, what's she talking about? I'm 'not' going to be having any one following me around, I can take care of myself just fine... Oye', every one here is only further delaying my journey. I'm not going to wait much longer before heading out.' She quickly looked to Christae, hoping she could talk some sense in to her. "Honestly, I can take care of myself." There was a slight squeak to her voice as she talked to her, overly desperate.

"No, I must be going now anyways. Do not worry Nike." With that Nira left.
*************************
"Wolf? That is a pretty sharding cool name." He thought for a moment. "Well, there is Decir but he isn't any fun." Jakel gave it another thought. "There really aren't that many candidates, yet, but I guess that isn't too much of a shocker. I mean, the queen hasn't even flown yet. So, candidates aren't needed that badly." He concluded with a nod.
After a pause he spoke, "So, what exactly happened? I mean, with the whole injury thing?" Jakel added.
((I can't type any more. Jasper is at my house and she lost it.))
