Kinest swam back a few paces when K'dan approached but didn't swim away. He smiled as K'dan mentioned games. He giggled, "..fun..." his voice still rasped from non use but he seemed happy none the less. He swam back a few more few before lifting his legs and kicking towards K'dan. It sent a spray of water in his direction splashing him.

K'dan rolled his eyes realizing this would be harder than he thought. He dove under deep in the water and popped up behind the boy. Water was perhaps K'dans element, being raised by the sea. He held on to the boy gently and swam to shore. He put the boy on his shoulders and said to him, "Why don't I give you a ride. Those are fun". He wanted to make sure he didn't scare the boy off or break what trust he had for him.

The boy shook his head and started whimpering. He liked the water and top of that it was colder above the water. His arm didn't really hurt all that bad and he liked playing in water more than this. He released his back muscles and fell back into the water off K'dan with a giggle, joyous to be in the water again.

K'dan jumped in the water after him again and took him gently and swam to shore yet again. He carried him infront this time and walked over to Nike. "Got him", he said to her. He was now soaken wet and with no shirt on early in the morning. "I think I will need some new clothes now. I had the decency not to take anything else not but unfortunantly it is cold out here", he said to Nike. He helped the boy put his clothes on and said yet again, "I think I better go to my barracks and get some fresh clothes...and can I have my shirt back now". He stood at Nike and waited for her to hand him his shirt as he stood before her shaking from the cold.

The boy grumbled without words but accepted the fact that he obviously wasn't going to get to play. He struggled half heartedly when clothes were put on him and he stayed near K'dan as he started talking to Nike. He started digging his wet toes in the dirt and making little circles as the boy quickly was bored with these proceedings. He looked up to them then crouched down and started drawing with his fingers.

Nike took the shirt and waited near the edge of her lake. Ruanth was crouched beside her. Aren't you going to gave me a bath? Turning to her white, Nike threw her arms around the dragon's neck, right below her head. "I'm sorry, love. I forgot. But I promise you, I will give you a bath when it is warmer. It is just barely light yet," She said, stroked the soft hide. "Plus you get to many baths." She added with a laugh.
Turning around, Nike handed K'dan back his shirt. "Thank you, K'dan," She said then turned to a clothed Kinest. "I'm sorry, but if you swim this early in the morning, your going to get a cold, and then you won't be able to swim for a long time. Now, let's give you a tour of the Weyr, and then we can play some games. I know Ruanth, Zim, and Crystal will enjoy playing with you," She said. On cue, the two firelizards popped from /between/ and landed on Nike's shoulders. Ruanth lowed her head to look at the boy.

K'dan pranced around and rubbed his arms trying to keep warm. He took the shirt from Nike and said, "Thank you now if you will excuse me I will change into something warm. I will be right back". With that he rushed to his barracks and changed his clothes and returned to them.

Kinest looked at her warily but liked the look of her two flying friends. He supposed that if K'dan was still there he was probably ok. He shrugged and would follow her once she started moving. While not completely trusting of them he was getting better. At least he wasn't running, right?

Nike smiled when K'dan came back. "Come on let's go," She said leading the way towards the Lower Caverens. "We can start in here, then we can move on to the Hatching Sands, and then to some of the weyrs. Trust me Kinest, you will enjoy yourself here," She said happily.

K'dan walked with the two. "Yes Kinest will need to know how to get there to the hatching sands that is", he said and looked down at the boy. He walked closer to Nike and smiled at her.

Kinest padded after them glad he didn't have to put on horrible shoes again. He listened to them talking about Hatching sands. He rather liked the sand by the water but figured something had to be really special about so followed a little curious. His face was a little dubious as he trailed after them.

Nike walked into the Kitchens and smiled. "These are the kitchens. It is where you will find the food. Simple as that," She said happily. Zim cherped then launched herself off of Nike's shoulder. The queen flew around the kitchen until she found the place where the cooks were preparing the meat for roasting for tonight's dinner. The firelizard dove down into the scraps bowl, and came back with a farely large handful of meat. She came back to Nike's shoulder and started to eat. Crystal followed suit.

Kinest watched as the two flying creatures flew around and then got something to eat. He trotted up to the bowl they had taken from and peered in dubiously. He sniffed it and it smelled of something he had just finished hunting. If only he was back there then he could have made a fire and had food. He looked back at the creatures then tilted the bowl towards him. A few pieces sloshed out but he picked up a piece and held it above his head before lowering it towards his open mouth, if they could eat it why couldn't he?

"No Kinest you don't want to eat that. You want to make sure it is cooked first", he said to the boy and Sharan came and swooped at the meat and snatched it from him. "Leave it to Sharan's stomach to save him", he said with a laugh. The flitt gave an annoyed chirp at the comment and flew away from them and began eating it.

Nike smiled at Zim, then turned to look at Kinest. She saw him walk towards the bowl of raw meat scraps and ran towards him. "Oh no! Kinest! Don't eat that! That is firelizard food! Not human. We have to have our's cooked. Make sure it is safe, safe and hot. You can have some tonight," She said. Her face was that of, 'I'm sorry, but you can't do that.'

Kinest growled and snapped as a flying creature took away his food. In defiance he took the bowl of meat and started running away from then in a random direction.

((Nope! There isn't. The lake is in the Bowl. If you need help with stuff discribing the Weyr, check on thta topic in 'Rules.'))
Nike sighed and ran after the boy. Not again! Ruanth! Please stop him! She asked her dragon. The white glided from her spot on the Rim, and landed in front of the boy. Please stop, and go back to my rider. That food is not meant for your kind. Only the little ones. Please give the bowl back to Nike, and go bck to her. Please don't run away.

Kinest screeched as a big white ghost dragon thing appeared infront of him. He threw the bowl into the air and ran in a totally different direction away from both groups. He didn't like things appearing before him. Didn't really like having to wear starchy white clothes. Maybe he would just hide again.

K'dan went after the boy and called Hydrath for help as well. The blue landed infront of the boy and basically said the same thing as Ruanth. K'dan gained on the boy.

The boy skidded to the side and ran completely around the blue dragon but by then he didn't really have anywhere to go except one place. He darted inside and once again found himself in the sandy dirty place..although now it was clean.
