R'dal gave a smile. "No it's alright. For a second there I thought you didn't mind holding my had", he said to her. He walked along with her, though he had kind of given a dissapointed mental sigh as she withdrew her hand, the green rider was pretty after all. He walked out in the weyrbowl and looked around, it was very nice out this time of day.

Nira walked beside R'dal, her smile never fading. She had completely forgotten about the other, and that there was a flight going on in her own Weyr.
Finally, you made another friend. Can I see him? Siarath commented.
Sure. Nira replied. "Would you like to meet my dragon?" She asked, not wanting to force him. Besides, she could always just give her overly large green pictures.

"Sure and I can have Elith meet us in the weyrbowl and you can meet him as well", he said to her. ~Elith meet me in the weyrbowl. I want you to meet someone~, he said to his dragon. His dragon agreed and waited for them in the weyrbowl as Nira led him to her dragon.

Nira smiled. "All right. I shall have her in the Weyrbowl. That way, we can have one big meeting." Nira chuckled. You may meet him. We will wait int he Weyrbowl, where we were before. Do you mind getting off your lazy behind and coming? She asked.
Siarath snorted. The green dragon stood up and shook her hide free of sand. I am not as lazy as you claim. Siarath argued as she flapped her wings and flew toward the Weyrbowl.
I know, but it gets you moving. Nira chuckled. "She is heading for the Weyrbowl." She explained as they walked. Upon arrival she saw Siarath landing near a brown.
"This large green is my bonded, Siarath." She introduced, scratching the dragon's eye-ridges. Nira stood by Siarath, waiting for an introduction to the lovely brown before them.

She is a lovely green. Big for her color too. This mighty dragon here is Elith. He is a good sized brown, pretty big but not overly so. There are a few browns here bigger than him", R'dal said. Greetings Siarath I am Elith. It is nice to meet you and my rider seems to enjoy the company of your rider.

Nice to meet you Elith. I think my rider feels the same about yours. Siarath gave a dragonic laugh.
Nira looked up with confusion, for the green hid that message from her Mine. What is it? She asked with interest.
Nothing mine, don't worry yourself. Siarath assured her.
Nira sighed and looked up at Elith. "It is very nice to meet you Elith." She said. The green-rider realized that the two were probably going to be talking. "Shall we go walk some more?" Nira asked the brown-rider hopefully.

"Yes of course. Let the dragons have their conversations", he said to her and continued walking with her. "So tell me do you have a weyrmate? Has your dragon ever rose to mate?", he asked her, wanting to learn more about the greenrider.

Nira walked beside the brown-rider. Slowly she took his hand in hers and smiled, blushing slightly. Then he asked a question that made her sigh. "No, I don't have a weyrmate. Siarath is four, but still hasn't flown yet, and doesn't show any signs of flying soon." Nira paused. "But I hope she will fly soon, I have been told by the healer that there isn't anything to worry about." Her frown turned back into a smile.
"Do you have a weyrmate?" She asked hopefully. Nira didn't want to get herself in trouble, or make another woman angry. Maybe Nike was right, maybe she could find someone to spend time with. But then, what was she doing. Didn't the white-rider already have K'dan. She pushed away the thoughts and looked up at R'dal. This was her main priority for now.

R'dal gave a smile when she took his hand and held it. He gave it a slight squeeze and said to her, "Well I am sure your dragon is fine. Even dragons can be unpredictible. No I don't have a weyrmate as we all said before", he said to her and gave a hearty laugh.

Nira blushed. "Sorry, I forgot." She chuckled. "Do you do this often?" She asked. "I mean, just stroll along through the Weyr?" She continued to be more specific. "You could never get this much peace at our Weyr. With our crazy riders Kia and Akki. Akki won't be here, she is bonded to a blue. Poor Christae and Sh'iron are kept so busy that they barely see each other. And our Jr. Weyrwoman is handful. Poor Christae and Sh'iron are kept so busy that they barely see each other. " Nira sighed.
She looked up at R'dal again. "I would hate not being able to see my mate." Nira paused then chuckled. "Sometime I guess I can just ramble. Sorry." She smiled.

"No it's quite alright. I enjoy hearing you talk", he said to her. "Yes I enjoy these walks whenever I get the chance to", he said to her as they walked along hand in hand.

Nira smiled. "Do you talk?" She asked, noticing that he was mostly asking her questions and was staying relatively quiet.

"I believe I have been talking this whole time little lady", R'dal said to her. That was an odd question. Hadn't he been walking hand in hand with her this whole time trying to get to know her?

Nira blushed. "Sorry, I have been a bit sidetracked. Don't worry." She smiled. "Do you have a lake somewhere?" She asked. Her eyes looked into the sky, wondering if the flight could be seen. She doubted it. They wouldn't come near another Weyr in case they were having a flight too, right?" Nira really wasn't sure. She hadn't been part of a flight before so she wasn't sure.

"Oh why yes we do. Right this way and don't worry about it. It is quite easy to get sidetracked", he said to her. He walked over to the lake and noticed H'dyn and Nike there. "Well it looks like we aren't the only ones with this idea", he said to her.

Nira smiled. "Come on, before they notice us." She pulled him along around the lake, making sure that Nike and the bluerider didn't see them. Once almost on the other side of the lake she chose a spot hidden by shady trees and a few bushes. She sat down and looked up at him. "I hope you don't mind, I just..." She paused, not finishing.

R'dal allowed her to pull him away from their friends at the lake then said, "Don't worry about it. "And you just what?", he asked her. He sat down close to her and looked at her, waiting for an answer.

Nira blushed. "I just... want to spend some time with you." She looked down. "Without them." She added, her dark brown eyes looking into R'dal's. "You know?" She asked.

R'dal gave a soft laugh, not the loud hearty ones he normally gave for such a big man. "Well that is fine by me", he said to her. He held her hand and scooted even closer to her.

Nira smiled. She leaned on his shoulder, strong but soft. She chuckled, that was how R'dal was. Strong but sensitive. "Beautiful." THe soft words excaped her lips before she even knew what she was saying. What did she think was beautiful anyhow? The lake? Sparkeling under the sun, soft ripples moving across the surface. Siarath? Large green dragon with powerful muscles, a sleek hide, and a loving personality. The sky? Light blue with scattered clouds and sun streaks splitting the color. She looked up, her dark brown eyes examining R'dal. Or was it something else?
