"Well I believe you have been to our lower caverns and the weyrbowl. How about the lake? Have you been there?", H'dyn asked her. With his other hand he brushed off a little bit of dirt that seemed to have collected on the hilt of the blade. He began walking Nike to the lake.

"No I have not. But I would love to see any body of water. I grew up in Southern Boll," Nevvanikea said. It was a strange name. Why would her mother name her that? She loved it dearly, but it was still odd, and alein to her. She had been called Nike her whole life. And now, she was just started to be called Nevvanike. Zim chipered in her ear lovingly, so the Healer took her mind off the subject, and stroked the little queen's eye ridges.

"Oh really. How interesting", H'dyn remarked. Soon they were at the lake and he looked it over. "Beautiful sight isn't it?", he asked her. He sat down gesturing her to do the same.

Nike smiled when the blue rider spoke, then sat down. It was an amazng sight. The huge open area from the bowl. She could see below, and far away. The lake's water fall filed her ears, and a grin crept to her face. "It is beautiful," She said with a happy sigh.

"I'm glad you think so. I often come out here if I ever feel the need to be alone", he said to her as his hand rested on the blade. H'dyn was like an older less darker version of Dicer. They had the same look but H'dyn didn't grow his bangs to cover his face. They were short not covering his eyes at all. Though they seemed to be polar opposites Dicer and H'dyn shared similar qualities.
(got to run now. be back in a couple of hours tootles. Oh and heh I'm glad you know what it looks like cuz i sure don't. *hasn't read any dragon riders of pern books)

Nira looked worriedly as Nike slipped out. She was about to excuse herself when she noticed H'dyn followed the white-rider. She decided that they would be okay and turned back to the brown-rider, since the other blue-rider was still obsessing over Lira. That made her chuckle lightly.
"A thundercloud. That is a much more creative name than the ones given to the mutants in our Weyr. Can you tell me a bit about it?" She asked hopefully. She sat up tall, but leaned in a bit to listen. She truly was and always would be fascinated by dragons and their smaller relatives, the fire-lizards.

"It's like a dark grey color and they tend to get to be about the size of a small brown or so", R'dal said. "So why don't you tell me a little bit about yourself Nira. It seems our friends have sorta paired off", he said to her and leaned over to pay more attention to her now that the others were preoccupied.

Nike nodded and smiled. "I'm waiting to go back to Boll, for their Spring Gather. Surprise all my friends, foster mother, and foster siblings," The Healer said with a little laugh. She was also taking Malenie to the Gather if Kaith's clutch didn't hatch, and Malenie didn't Impress. Of course, Nike had thae feeling that the girl was goint to Impress a green. After all, almost all females did. And Dark Moon had the strange case of having a lot of female green riders.

"Sounds like fun. I should visit Darkmoon soon and give my brother a suprise, although heck it's Dicer he doesn't suprise easily and if he is suprised he would never show it", H'dyn said. He took out the blade and began to clean and sharpen it, often like Dicer would, perhaps a trait Dicer picked up from his older brother. H'dyn looked down at his blade, a twin to the one he gave his brother. He had gotten them at the same time and gave one to Dicer as sort of a promise that they would always remain close and never lose touch. Sometimes he felt like he had broken that promise.

Nike looked at the blade and nodded at it. "I like it," She said. Her hand travled down to her boot, and slipped inside. She felt the cool, black hilt of the boot dagger. A tiny smile spread on her face, then disappeared. Her hand retreated back, and rested in Nike's lap.

"What? The blade? Yes it is very nice, specially made. This is only a twin though, I had two made", he said to her. "You know a thing or two about knives?", he asked her, a bit curious.

Nira chuckled, "I believe they have." The green-rider smiled before complying with his suggestion. "Well, I don't have much of an interesting life. My mother owns a runner station, but I haven't visited her since I impressed my overly large green, Siarath. I think I might do that soon though. Besides the fact that I impressed Siarath, I am not that different than others. What about you? Do you have any siblings or anything?" She asked, hoping to get the subject away from herself.

"Sounds nice. Just because one has a simple life doesn't mean it is bad. My life was nothing out of the ordinary but there was nothing bad about it. I am much like you. My father worked with runners so I grew up raising them until I was searched and no I have no other siblings. I am an only child", R'dal said to her.

Nira chuckled. "Not that kind of runners. I mean the humans that run around giving people messages." She smiled. "But don't worry, you are not the first to make that mistake."
Lina left out of Nira's arms and crawled awkwardly over to the brown-rider. SHe looked him in the eyes before turning around and walking back into Nira's arms.
"Do not mind her. She does that to most that I meet." Nira smiled. "Most don't have interesting lives anyways. And those that do have odd lives are normally snobbish and well... they tend to act like Miya, the gold-rider you met before. Though I don't think she had an out of the ordinary life." Nira thought about it before turning back to R'dal. "Sorry, I am running out of topics." She smiled embarrassingly.

R'dal gave a laugh at his mistake then looked at the little gold and smiled at it. "Oh it's quite alright", he said to her. "Don't worry about it, sometimes you just can't think of things to say, I understand", he said to her. He took a sip of the klah near him and looked at her. "Do you need anything? Want to go somewhere? Do something?", he asked her. He wanted to get to know the girl better especially since both of their friends seemed preoccupied with the other.

Lira smiled as it did indeed seem that everyone was pairing up. She turned back to L'sod. "So, my shining knight? Shall we go and see some of the sights? I havn't see all of this weyr yet." She joked before quickly checking on her green out of reflex. The green was rarly in trouble anymore anyways. She chuckled as she remembered the beginning days when it seemed all that dragonet knew was trouble and hunger.

"We shall my lady", he said to her. He arose and held out his hand for her and held hers as they walked out.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Well looks like its you and me now", R'dal said with a joking wink as he watched the two leave.
Nira smiled. "I beleive it is." She sent Lina away, the gold went between, happy to please Nira. The greenrider smiled and stood up. "Are there any sites special to your weyr?" She asked, hoping to see something spectacular.
"I would guess. There is the lake and the waterfall and other places", he said to her. "Why don't we just simply walk around and happen upon them as we go along. I enjoy nice long walks", he said to her and arose. He offered his hand to her as a gentlemen should.
Nira took R'dal's hand politely, and stood up. She smiled. "Then, let us go." She headed for the exit, following R'dal. She realized that she was still holding the brown-rider's hand and quickly withdrew it, blushing. "Sorry." She apologized meekly.
