Christae looked up when the watchdragon bugled a welcome to a Queen. She watched through Kaith's eyes as Isith landed and deposited her rider on the ground.
When Hathea entered she put on a welcoming smile. "Welcome to Dark Moon Weyr. We are happy to see that you were able to make it. Hathea of Isith from High Reaches right?"

"Correct, of course. It is beyond me if someone could forget... me," she said loudly with a large smile. She looked around to see if D'nyr was there. She didn't much care to look after him but he seemed to be looking to make sure she was true to him (if that is alright, G'age).
She looked over those here. She related to the Istan Weyrleaders in a sense. She more or less respected the more experienced and traditional Weyrs. She was not at all happy they had to come to this dump and Christae's bulging stomach did not change her views.
---
Kia came running back with her hands almost all-the-way clean. "I am still not late?" she said as more of a question. Kylath came happily skipping after her. [shadow=red,left,300]I feel much better, Mine.[/shadow]~You grow so much, this oiling is very annoying.~
ooc|| If G'age does not come and post an intro for D'nyr may I? I know it will be a lot of characters but... please?

Sh'iron nodded, then sighed. He put on a fake smile, and welcomed the High Reaches' Weyrwoman. He was worried. What if Christae went into labor right in the middle of the meeting. Well, the Healers had to be ready. But since he wasn't one, he didn't know if they were always ready for something or not. He looked around the Caveren, waiting for the other Weyrleaders.
-------------------
Falnor snorted when the High Reaches woman burst though. Also disliking this pair too. She rolled her dark eyes, then greeted the Weyrwoman. "Ah, I see you have made it too. If you didn't come soon, we were going to start the meeting without you." The older woman said with a wicked smile.
-----------------------
Nike turned and grined. "No you are not. Not even all the Weyrleaders are here yet. Well atleast all the major ones." The Healer/Weyrling said with another grin. Remembering her incounters with the Weyrleaders, she wondered if any of them would remember her.

Hathea twisted Falnor's words without a stutter. "Ah, but you did not start yet, now that I am here we can start but it is clear you were waiting as it has not started yet," she said with a toothy grin. The Weyrwoman twirled around, greeting everyone indvidually.

Kia sighed with relief and smiled down at Kylath.

Galia's lips thinned as Hathea arrived, and she managed a rather stiff smile for the other Weyrwoman, and an incline of her head. "Good Day, Weyrwoman Hathea," she said cooly, blue optics darkening slightly as she surveyed the younger 'leader, who was greeting everyone individually. Oh; though the Weyrleaders of Pern did, indeed, do their best to appear in perfect accord when in public, how wrong that same public could often be. She could tolerate the Istan Weyrleaders, however stuffy they might be. Unfortunately, the downright arrogance of the High Reaches Weyrwoman did not fare so well, when combined with the same views of the former two.
She absently played with a lock of copper-gilded, golden hair, and studied the ground in silence. Though she tried not to admit it to herself, she was looking less and less forward to this meeting. Though they had not all arrived yet, and thus not started, she felt a sense of impending doom about what they might learn at this meeting. Why else would they call all of the Weyrleaders, but for very important news? It was not of consequence to her that they had come to Dark Moon Weyr. The Southern Weyrwoman had decided that she rather liked the little weyr. Her own was considerably larger, and was getting sprawling, and harder to find one's way about. The small size of this appealed to her. An absent-minded smile played about her delicate features as her gaze flickered about.

L'mis looked at his weyrmate. "Is something wrong Galia? You looked troubled?" He whispered to the woman. "Don't let those like Hathea get to you. That is what she is trying to do. Trying to get to you, to all of us, but mostly to get to Sh'iron and Christae." He nodded. ~There is a lot of tension.~ He told his dragon. It figures, with the weyrleaders that are arriving. The bronze replied.

Christae was careful not to acknowledge the tension in the room. Only a small line of tension showed near her mobile mouth. She greeted the newcomer and counted the people present.
"We are still missing a person or two. Weyrwoman Hathea, please help yourself to refreshments. I am certain a cup of hot klah would hit the spot after a cold trip /between/."

((My question?))
Hathea smiled warmy. "Oh, i would much rather get to say a hello to every darling little person here," she called to the Weyrwoman. The Weyrwoman twirled around and stopped before S'kel. She raised an eye brow knowing they agreed on one concept here.

Kadire looked at Hathae. "Oh but we can't start because not everyone is here yet. Just because you are here doesn't mean we start the meeting and leave others out", she said with a fake smile and made sure to put the emphasis on can't as Hathae put the emphasis on not. Hathae wasn't one of her favorite people.

((if g'age doesnt show you can...we might have to get someone to take over for weyrlingmaster because i was hoping to pull more members in and get another flight in before or just after thread))
S'kel nodded a curt greeting to Hathea. He frowned at her suggestion that they start immediately. "Just because you are here, doesn't mean that we will force the other Weyrleaders to forfeit their right to vote in weighty matters Hathea." S'kel knew that the High Reaches Weyrwoman shared he and his Weyrwoman's views but that didn't mean he had to like her.
Tela sneered at the newcommer. She remembered that the High Reaches Weyrwoman shared her sentiment and turned the sneer into a forced smile.
"Hathae, how are you?" Tela came forward with her hands extended in greeting. "I hope you and your Queen are well."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
Christae turned away from the atrocious display, hiding a frown. She did not want to seem ungracious. "Excuse me." She said and walked out of the cavern. She returned a few moments later, straightening out a fold in the skirt of her gown.
Kadire watched as Tela greeted Hathae and gave a concerned look when Christae excused herself. She looked over at Christae when she returned. "Is everything alright dear?", she asked with concern.
Christae forced a smile, even though she wanted to cry from the pain that kept assailing her. She was having a time hiding the fact from her dragon.
"I am fine. I just had to take care of some business." She hoped the other woman would catch her drift and not embarrass her by having to explain that she had had to relieve herself.
Hathea looked up at S'kel. "Oh, you can wait. I am simply pointing out we have not started," she said. The Weyrwoman turned to Tela. She grinned. "I am doing well as is Isith. How is your Weyr and," she hushed her voice, "How is this one?"
Tela leaned closer. "Our weyr is prospering." Her voice dropped. "This weyr is impudent. The audacity of their leaders to force us to attend a meeting in such an insignificent weyr. Supposedly the reason behind our meeting here is because of their Weyrwoman's pregnancy. They say that the healers have ordered her not to travel. I say that she should have just made her apologies and let us meet somewhere more prestegious. She keeps grimmacing when she thinks we do not see her. I think she is putting on airs."
Hathea's eyes rolled. "It is not even a large enough Weyr- we have to have our meeting where they eat. Surely she could suck it up and allow us to go to at least a larger Weyr," she said.
A very large Bronze swooped down into the Weyr Bowl. Hatath put his fore legs down and jogged fore ward a bit before reaching a full stop. A rider jumped from his back, a worried look on his face. Mine, what troubles you? Hatath did not get a direct answer from D'nyr. Instead he got mostly mumbelling. "Why would she just leave while I was arranging something? Surely to go flirt with the other Weyrleaders. That's it." Mine, you are just paranoid. "Don't be smart with me," snapped the Weyrleader. The Bronze dragon looked distantly, his equivalant of rolling his eyes. He bent his legs and jumped into the sky. Hatath flapped his powerful wings and slowly gained height. He saw Isith and plunged lower until he landed. Hello.
D'nyr, on the other hand, was very distressed. He bursted into the Weyr Bowl without a second thought. "Hathea," he called and ran up to her. "Dear," he said and planted a kiss on her ckeek.
"Hello, D'nyr," she said, trying to sound sincere, "Why don't you greet everyone, surely you should at least greet the Weyrwoman. I will just talk to Tela." Surely if she said she would talk to a Weyrwoman her Weyrmate would be less possesive. He grudgingly agreed and walked to Christae.
"Hello," he said to her, keeping an eye on Hathea who continued to speak with Tela.
Miya looked at the next weyrleader to arrive. He seamed troubled as he greeted Christae. Probably because of that sharding weyrwoman of his. Reinath snapped. Miya nodded, ~GO figure.~ She replied simply.
Christae smiled at the fond greeting the High Reaches Weyrleader gave his Weyrwoman. She couldn't help but feel sorry for the man though, unlike her and Sh'iron, the High Reaches pair didn't seem to have mutual feelings for each other.
When D'nyr came to greet her she bowed her head graciously. "Welcome to our humble Weyr. It is our hope that your stay here is comfortable." Her voice was curteous and one of the drudges came forward to offere wine or klah to the newly arrived guest.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
S'kel nodded a greeting to the High Reaches Weyrleader and ignored his Weyrwoman and Hathea.
Tela enthusiasticaly nodded her agreement. "I agree. Surely this meeting isn't so important that she can't have her weyrmate relate the tale to her. Though from the looks of it, he is too busy with other matters to worry about speaking to her." Tela's voice was suggestive.

D'nyr rubbed his head. "Wine, please," he said and turned to Christae. He, unlike his Weyrwoman, felt for Christae. "So- are you feeling okay?"
--
Hathea was feeling like she did when she was young, giggling about while she gossiped. "Oh- I wonder if she is worse than D'nyr and I," she stopped, not sure if she should have said that. Instead of giving Tela time to digest it she continued. "Anyways, her weyrmate could explain what has been happening. With not having to bring Christae surely they could take everything else, that probably only being himself, /between/ and go to another Weyr."

The drudge curtseyed and handed the bronzerider a glass of wine.
"I have been better, but I am due any day now. Hopefully the baby will be born soon and I can get back to normal. I fear that I have been sorely neglect with my duties because Sh'iron is worse than the healers. He hides my hides from me and makes the Wingleaders keep silent about when meetings are." She chuckled, her smile inviting him to share the joke.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tela sneered. "That is the problem with letting Weyrs branch off by themselves. Look at what happened with Southern and now this Dark Moon Weyr hopes to establish itself as one of our own?" Tela made the words Dark Moon, sound like firestone ashes and dung.
