Have you done something foolish?. Akki, rather startled because she thought Ebbeth was sunning himself and sleeping, smiled to herself and replied For once I don't think I really did. Wait, I did. Don't say anything you overgrown flitt. Go back to sleep. She didn't think she would ever get used to having a dragon in her thoughts, it was weird. It seemed like an invasion but not one because Ebbeth basically was a part of her. She stroked Sharan and whispered, "Don't worry. He's such sleeping. I bet he could sleep through a dragon bugling in his ear.".

"Mmph", K'dan muttered as he awoke and sat back up. "Your still here. Thanks for staying with me", he said to her then realized her avoiding his earlier question. "Akki it isn't your fault, I was just antsy and overreacting ok", he said as he placed his hand on her shoulder. He then stood up and winced a bit as he put his full weight on his legs. "Well I think we better head back to the weyr now", he said to her as he offered his hand to help her up.
G'han was done bathing and had changed into fresher clothes. He was now on his way in the direction that the candidate had went, in the direction of Akki and K'dan, though he had not yet run into them yet. Azure flew around his head still wanting to play. "Later Azure, right now I have a candidate I have to deal with", he said to the flitt, who then landed on his shoulder with one last chirp.

"Ha! How is it you fall asleep and yet still remember that question? Shards K'dan, you need a hobby. A real one." She snorted as she graciously took his hand and hoisted herself off the ground. "Am I covered in grass? Or dirt?" She asked as she looked at herself, just waiting to see some giant stain. She brushed herself off and looked at K'dan and said, "One day I'm going to steal Sharan from you. You can have Sargon. Sharan is much better than that lazy flitt.".

"Yes and how is it that you still avoid it and get off on another subject. Just don't worry about it Akki, it was all my fault and your covered in both", he said with a smile at the end. Sharan flew to K'dan and landed on his shoulder, the bluerider scratched the flitt's eyeridges and began to walk back to the weyr. "Akki you tell me. Am I covered in blood and bruises?", he said with a bit of a chuckle. He walked along side of her as they headed back to the weyr.

"I'm very good at avoiding things K'dan. Espeacially serious things or rules. Rules are meant to be broken, despite what others say. I mean, why live life without fun? That's not living at all." She said with a shrug as she followed him towards the weyr. She cocked her head and surveyed him for a moment, as if seeing him for the first time and said, "If anyone asks you boldly fought off a dragon and that's how you got those scratches. Harpers will sing and praise you for just getting those and not a missing limb.".

And amazingly you still avoid it. You can't forever you know. I will just keep bringing it up", he said to her and gave a smile as she seemed to be looking him over then gave her comment. "No unfortunantly I am sure the truth will come to light and I will get punished for it, but it's my own fault for jumping off to the wrong conclusion. Don't worry I'll make sure that they don't try to stick any of this to you", he said to her.
G'han soon ran into the two of them. He raised an eyebrown at K'dan. "What happened to you? Get run over by a herdbeast....or two?", he said. He looked over at Akki and gave a questioning look. Azure flew over to Sharan and gave a happy chirp. It seemed now he had someone else to play with.

She didn't have time to answer K'dan for G'han appeared. Not that she was complaining, she happened to like anything that stalled her answer. "A herdbeast? Oh come one G'han. As if K'dan and I couldn't take them. Herdbeasts are simple to take down." Akki said punching the air in a pretend battle with a herdbeast that magically appeared in front of her. She looked at G'han and said, "K'dan was taking down a malicious dragon that was going to attack, very heroic.".

G'han gave a chuckle at Akki, "A malicious dragon eh? And who was the bonded of this dragon". He glanced between the two of them, making it obvious he didn't believe the story. He looked K'dan over and gave a frown, "By the looks of it K'dan I'de say you have been in a fight. But that is totally unlike you. What happened?", he asked the him. He looked at Akki giving a questioning look, then gave a smile, "Why does it not suprise me that K'dan gets all bruised and bleeding and he's around Akki when it happens. What did you do to him Akki?".
K'dan frowned, knowing he wouldn't get her answer now. It seemed he would have to tell G'han what had happened but the bronzerider seemed to change the mood of the question to a joke. Hopefully no one will find out but if so I have to pay the consequences(sp?) for my actions. He looked over at Akki as the two flitts flew around the three of them.

Akki looked at G'han, as if he had just sprouted two heads, and one was a wherry head. "G'han, the malicious dragon was Gerenanth. He said that you told him to go after us.". If was blatantly obvious that G'han knew the dragon story was a lie, if he thought it was true, well, she would have been a bit worried about his health or state of mind. Or both. "Besides, I didn't do anything. For once in my life.". A lie. She did do some things, but he didn't need to know. She hoped.

G'han raised an eyebrow, "Now that is just a lie because my lazy bronze is sleeping and when he sleeps he doesn't wake until he has to. Why don't one of you try telling me the truth". He had a stern look on his face, one so serious it suprised himself. A gentle breeze blew by that blew through G'han's spikey hair. It felt good, especially after all that training he had just did.

Akki swore, out loud, much to her surprise, mostly because she thought she was thinking it, not actually saying it. "It's my fault really. I couldn't remember what Dicer's name was, I thought it was either Slicer or Klah. Personally I think Klah is a very nice name. I got curious and had to go and ask, so K'dan came along so I wouldn't get in trouble. I caught up with him and asked so he jumped down from the tree, he was in it you know, and K'dan thought he was going to attack me because he had this knife at his side. So K'dan jumped in to protect me, more heroic than the dragon story, and they got in this fight. Dicer and K'dan rolled around on the ground punching, hitting, scratching, and jabbing each other. Dicer got mad, yelled at him and walked away, well, stormed away. I ran up to him and told him that whether he likes it or not the people in this Weyr will eventually become all he has so he better get used to it or something like that. So he told me something, I can't remember what," This part was a lie. She knew what he said, but she didn't think it was her place to say, " and so that's basically it.". She inhaled deeply and said, "Oh wait. And then I killed him and buried his body under that tree. Why? Because his name wasn't Klah.".

G'han gave a sigh of exasperation then a smile. "This all just seems like a big misunderstanding here but you do realize when the weyrleaders hear about this they won't be so nice about it. I am sure Christae will be hopping mad, seeing as how Sh'iron wants to go relax instead of deal with things like this", he said to them. "Well i guess since things are solved here, though not in the best way, I will head on back. You two come along when you are ready. Now I will just leave you two alone", he said with a joking wink and left them.
K'dan gave a weird look at the bronzerider but said nothing, it was inevitable(sp?). The whole weyr would know soon and he would be deep in trouble, he gave a sigh and decided to think nothing more of it. Things just happen and what is in the past is in the past and he could do nothing about it. The least he could do is keep everyone else out of trouble.

Akki bit her lip and then ran after G'han and grabbed his arm and then said, "G'han, will K'dan be punished? If he is then I want to take his place. It's only fair, I started it with my stupid Klah thing and my sharding curiousity. If I can't take his place I at least want to have the same punishment. If I don't get one of these G'han, I'm going to skin somebody.". Slowly but surely you begin to grow older Akkimine. Slowly but surely. It's only fair. I won't have it any other way.

G'han turned around and looked at Akki in the eyes and gave a smile. "You know only a true friend, only someone who really cares, would ask for that", he said as he placed his hand on her shoulder and continued, "K'dan is lucky to have such a good friend like you Akki".
K'dan heard what she said and spoke out, "I won't hear of it Akki. This is my fault not yours. If i didn't jump to the wrong conclusion then this wouldn't have happened. I am making sure you are not caught up in this. The punishment will be mine alone Akki, please I don't want you to feel any blame for this". He gave a pleading look to her, he couldn't possibly do that to her. He wouldn't have her punished for his misjudgement.
G'han glanced between the both of them, "Listen you two work it out between yourselves. Myself I have things I should probably catch up on. I will see you guys around and I wish you two luck". With that he left, azure trailing behind until he was nothing but a blue speck then vanished.

Akki watched as G'han vanished before she whirled around to K'dan, sticking her tongue out at him and said, "Too bad for you K'dan. I'm doing it and you can't stop me.". Which really was true, K'dan probably couldn't stop her from this descision even if he continously begged, pleaded or threatened her. "Besides, I never have been punished here before. It will be new to me, and probably exciting. Well, I'll think so at first. I think after a while I'll have a different look at it.".

"Well I will just say you are lying. As a friend I can't allow you to be punished for my mistake", he gave a smirk and continued, "Besides it would undo me trying to save your life Akki". K'dan soon realized they were outside the weyrbowl and would probably hear it soon from the Weyrwoman, he was sure she had heard about it by now. Things didn't stay quiet here long.

Christae was waiting for them when they walked into the Weyrbowl. She strode over to them angrily. Her face was livid with anger. Her eyes snapped with fury. "Is it true what the drudge told me? A dragonrider attacked the new Candidate? K'dan, Akki? You had better not lie to me. Did you attack Dicer after I had said that I would take care of it? Were you not both standing near me when I told Sh'iron that he could go relax and I would handle the situation?"
"I am very disappointed with you, the both of you. I want to know who fought and why this instant. I do not want this to escalate any further. Sh'iron and I have enough to worry about without dragonriders brawling with candidates." Her voice held barely contained rage.
"You not only disobyed Weyr rules, you put yourselves in danger and the Dicer. What would have happened if something had gone wrong? We would have lost either a candidate or a dragon and rider pair that is nearly ready for Threadfall. That was extremely reckless and I cannot believe you would stoop to such a level. Tell me which "bluerider" fought immediately."

K'dan stood between Christae and Akki. "It was me Weyrwoman. I fought with Dicer, it was a misjudgement on my part and if someone should be punished it should be me. Akki had nothing to do with this, so I would appreciate it if she was kept out of this. Whatever the punishment I will take it", K'dan said looking directly into the Weyrwoman's eyes. He wiped some blood that had dried on the corner of his lip. His look was serious, no smile and no change in his expression. ~Hydrath tell Akki to say nothing. This is already taken care of~, he said to the blue. The blue repeated his rider's words.

"I am deeply disappointed. I want you to apologize to Dicer and mean it. You will be given latrine duty and dragon dung duty, a sevenday for each. It does not make a difference if Akki was in it or not, she did not attempt to stop you from making a fool of yourself. She will have a week of firestone duty. She will help put firestone into sacks for the Weyr. K'dan, you will report to Headwoman Glyssa and she will tell you where you are needed."

K'dan gave a sigh he couldn't let Akki get in trouble for his stupid mistake but he hoped if he tried to defend her it wouldn't sound like he was disrespecting her. "Weyrwoman I intend no disrespect but it all happened so fast. I jumped him and we tumbled on the ground. It would have been to late for Akki to realize what happened and trying to break us up would have just gotten her hurt. After we flew off of each other the fight was over and our reasons for fighting now known to be false ones. If anything let me take the punishment you would have given Akki. All this is truely my fault", he said to her with a gentle, low voice. It seemed already Akki blamed herself, giving her punishment would just assert that and she had to know it was not her fault.
Hydrath shook his head realizing his bonded probably just made things worse, funny how he always ended up in these situations and if there were a way to make it worse he would find it.
