Akki sniffed, obviously this person was going to boring or at least rude in some way or another. She looked at Kia, rolled her eyes dramatically and stuck out her tongue. Getting a new person who didn't even look at who he was talking too wasn't that much fun, it was well rather drab. Big surprise. She turned her head sharply, only to feel a small body collide into her head. Of course it was Sargon, who didn't stop in time. Akki cursed and swiped at the flitt, who dodged it with ease and glided into Dicer's room.

Now Dicer was truely annoyed as the flitt flew into his room. He growled and threw on his cloak. After he put his knife back in the usual hiding spot he left to go who knows where, as long as it was away from people. He passed by those outside his barracks and said not a word, not even looking in their direction.

Akki reached out to grab the flitt as he followed the boy out of the room, and actually managed to grab hold of him much to her surprise. She silently scolded the flitt before saying, "Sargon, go away. You are on everybody's death list basically. Go. Shoo". It wasn't really a lie, Kia definitly wanted revenge on the flitt and so did Akki. Akki stretched her arms and stated allowed, "He's rude huh? Think he heard me?". "Actually, I don't think I care." She admitted with a careless shrug as an after thought.

Dicer gave a smirk at the girl's comment as he continued to walk to a much quieter, less crowded place.
Just then K'dan was walking by and noticed the new comer. "Hello my name is K'dan, weyrling rider of blue Hydrath. What's your name?", he asked.
Dicer said nothing to the boy that introduced himself but bumped into K'dan with his shoulder and caused K'dan to fall on his rear end, though not intentional Dicer could have cared less. He continued walking without word.
"What's your problem", K'dan said to him as he got up and brushed himself off. Noticing he wasn't listening to him, K'dan said nothing more but went over to the others that were there. "What's his deal?", he asked.

((-Feels like bringing in Sh'iron-))
Sh'iron sighed as he walked out of the Weyrfolk hall, and towards the Dining Hall. A mug of klah was in his hand, and he sipped it every so often as he read a peice of hide. It had been a busy day. Always was since he became Weyrleader. Even though he was young, the youngest Weyrleader ever, he still loved his job, and was becoming used to the ways how the Holders accted and such.
Today was a quiet day so far. He smiled as he read. Yes, he liked quiet days. At the sound of some of the riders and Candidates at the Barracks, Sh'iron decied to see what the problem was. Great, I was planning to go to the beach today. Now I can't. Myranenth snorted. Deal with this, then we can go. I need a bath anyways. Sh'iron rolled his eyes, then spotted someone he didn't know push pass K'dan, which made the young blue rider fall. Scowling, the Weyrleader walked up to the Candidate. "Why didn't you aplogize to K'dan?" Standing behind the Candidated he asked in his Weyrleader tone. Being tall, the bronze rider towered over the much shorted Candidate.

Dicer stopped and with his back turned to the guy talking spoke, "Maybe he should watch where he is going. Accidents happen you know", he said and walked off.
"Oh no", K'dan said under his breath. Now the weyrleader was out and into this. The last thing K'dan wanted was trouble. He walked up to the weyrleader and said, "Um it's ok really. Just let it be, I wouldn't want any trouble to arise just because of him".

Sh'iron glared at the boy. "I saw what happened, and you ran into him. You did not watch where you were going, and I think that K'dan should be applogized to," The Weyrleader said, walking beside the boy, then stepping in front of him. "You will not make it very far in this Weyr with your attatuide," The Weyrleader added in a lower tone.
Sh'iron turned to K'dan. "No it is not alright. This Candidate ran into you and didn't applogize to you, and he should, and will," Sh'iron said to the blue rider, then turend back to the Candidate.

Who was this guy and why did he think he could tell him what to do. He must have been someone of high ranking, perhaps the weyrleader. Interesting, so this must be the guy in charge. Well for the time being anyway. Dicer gave an amused smirk, the guy wasn't that much older than him. Just for the sake of him getting out of his face he turned his head to the side to eye K'dan. "Sorry K'dan", he said and side stepped past the weyrleader and continued walking. Lucky he seems to be the weyrleader, if it were anyone else they wouldn't have gotten off so easy.

Christae set down the hides with a frustrated sigh. She capped her ink jar and told Kaith that she was going out to greet the newcomer. She gave up on logs for the time being. The young Weyrwoman knew that she would catch it later for leaving so much work to do for later, but she couldn't take staring at figures anymore. She ran quickly down the stairs and crossed the Weyr Bowl.
Her brow was furrowed and she barely noticed the newcomer as she passed him. She saw some of the riders gathered around the Candidates' Barracks and made her way over to them. Her eyebrows raised in suprise when she saw Sh'iron. She had seen her weyrmate only in passing over the past few days. Either she was busy or he was busy and they seemed to keep missing each other. She rarely even saw him when it was time to retire for the night.
She studied him as she walked closer. His face looked stormy and K'dan looked rather upset standing next to him. She hoped that the young bluerider hadn't gotten himself into trouble.
"Is anything wrong?" She asked after nodding a greeting to everyone. She had pulled her long brown hair into a bun at the nape of her neck and she wore riding clothes. She had traveled to various holds during the morning and hadn't stopped to change. She had just tossed her riding jacket aside and undid Kaith's riding straps. The Queen had gone to bask in the sun and her rider had retreated to her Weyr to do work.
Kaith was glad that her rider was getting out of the Weyr and away from work. The Queen didn't want her rider to overwork herself. Taking care of a child and a Weyr was hard work but Christae seemed to thrive on it. Kaith wasn't so sure.

Sh'iron scowled as the boy walked away. He shook his head, then turned around as he heard Christae behind him. "Oh, just the new Candidate. So far, I really don't like him," He said, looking after they boy as he cracked his kuckles. "I was planning to go the beach with Myranenth when he bumped into K'dan, which made him fall, and then walked away. Now I have a feeling that I can't leave now that he's here," The weyrleader said with a sigh as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"His deal? I think he has some unsolved issues K'dan. Nothing that a little punishment from someone in the weyr won't give to him no doubt." Akki said to K'dan with a shrug. She wanted to say she hated him already, but she couldn't. One thing she didn't want to do was say that when she just met someone, even though he already did seem like a pompous jerk. "If he doesn't watch his mouth he's going to be missing a body part that will be most painful to lose." Akki said, with a devilish grin. She looked at K'dan and said, "A toe of course. Most painful to ever get one cut off.".

K'dan glared at the boy as he watched him walk off. "Akki I don't know if he's the type you really want to mess with. There is no telling what he might do. For your safety, why don't you just let him be. That is until I know how much of a threat he truely is", he gave a smile as he listened to what he had just said.
Dicer was now outside the weyr, in a wooded area. He sat under a tree, a place he normally came to when he wanted to get away. He once again pulled out the blade under his cloak and began sharpening it again. He gave a devilish smirk as he sharpened it.

Ooc|| Have you ever lost a toe? Very painful. And before anyone asks. No I have never lost a toe. My fish did though O:
"Psh! So you can take him on but I can't? Is it because I'm a girl? That's not nice K'dan. Not nice at all." Akki said, scolding him as she waggled her finger in the air. "Besides I can make it look like an accident. You know, just trip over something while holding a knife that accidently drops on his foot. I'm good at tripping K'dan, I can do it easily." She pointed out with a wink and a grin.

"I didn't say anything about taking him on. As much as I have trained with G'han I am no natural fighter. I just don't want you to get hurt because of him. What I meant is only time well tell this candidate's true attitude and motives. He doesn't seem to be the good guy type person", he said as he patted some more dust off his pants. "Just let Sh'iron handle him. He seems to be the one who could keep him under control. The boy wouldn't apologize until Sh'iron made him. So yeah", K'dan said not sure what else to say. He just didn't like confrontation and he didn't want anyone to get hurt.

Jakel ran towards the new candidate. He jumped up and landed on his behind right next to the boy. "Hey. You must be the new candidate. I am Jakel, also a candidate. Haw many people have you met? What is your name? Where are you from? What color do you want to impress?" Jakel bombarded the boy with questions as he often did to new people.

Christae sighed. "No, Sh'iron, you have been working harder than almost anyone in this weyr. Go to the beach with Myranenth." She watched his face, worry in her eyes. She could see the lines of fatigue and care on his young face. She reached up and smoothed a line near his mouth. "Go and relax. I will deal with him. The weyr won't fall apart without you."
She gave him an affectionate smile and then turned. "I will deal with him now so that you can rest easy and enjoy your day at the beach." Her long legs took her swiftly away from the group as she followed the path the new Candidate had taken. Her head was held high. She was proud of her weyrmate and all the work they had been doing to keep the weyr up and running. Their first transfer rider would be leaving within two days and Benden's transfer rider would be arriving to spend their sevendays in the different weyrs.
Nike and Ruanth were flying beautifully each night and the day to teach the Weyrlings how to go /between/ was drawing ever closer. Kaith and the other dragons of the weyr were in fine fettle and the weyr was strong in its Threadfall training. The first Weyrgame competition would be taking place in four sevendays at Southern Boll's gather. ((It is Southern Boll right?))
Christae turned her head and could see the gleaming golden hide of Kaith, the Weyr's large Queen. She was one of the largest Queens on Pern. She would never reach the famous Ramoth's bulk, but she made the other Queens look small. Christae found where the new Candidate had gone and stopped in front of him. She stood regally in her riding gear, her eyes stern and her hands upon her hips.
"Young man I understand that you are a new Candidate here. I am Weyrwoman Christae, rider of Senior Queen Kaith. The man you met earlier is Weyrleader Sh'iron, rider of bronze Myranenth. They have reported that you were rude to a young bluerider and not polite at all to the Weyrleader Sh'iron. I am here to both welcome you to Dark Moon Weyr and to warn you. We have dealt with troublemakers in the past and we are NOT going to repeat the experience. "
"You had better learn how to be more polite. If not, you will be given chores as punishment. If your foul attitude continues, we will send you home. This is not an idle threat. We have never had to send anyone home. They have all shaped up and I expect you to do the same. We will not hesitate to send you from our weyr. We have enough work to do here without having to deal with a troublemaker. I do not expect you to apologize sincerely, but in the future you need to avoid such situations. Disobey me in this and you will not find me to be as genial as I was before." Her voice was stern but afterwards she smiled.
Christae smiled at Jakel. "I heard of your arrival young Jakel. I apologize for not welcoming you when you arrived, but as you might have heard, I was abed from recent labor. Although it is late, welcome to Dark Moon Weyr. I hope that both of you make this place your home and enjoy living here."
She waited to see if the young men would tell her anything and then afterwards walked back to the group standing near the Barracks.

Dicer quickly hid the knife when he heard a boy start asking him dozens of questions. "Well your a chatty one", he said to the boy in an emotionless tone. He then turned to the weyrwoman who came out to greet him and at the same time warn him. "So it's as I thought. That guy was the weyrleader. Interesting", he said pondering to himself. He obviously wouldn't be left alone today. He simply gave an agreeing nod to the weyrwoman and left yet again, dissapearing farther into the wooded area he was in. He looked behind him to see if there was anyone there, noticing no one was there he hopped in a nearby tree, out of sight.

Jakel listened to the weyrwoman. "No problem, I got enough of a greeting by Akki and Kia and two lovely babies that were born during my arrival.
He then turned to Decir. His hand rubbed his shaggy hair and his mouth split into a large smile. "Yea, Ihave been told that. I have also been told that two were ALMOST kicked out. One was Miya and the other was Melanie. But I am not supposed to talk about that. Whoops. Anyways, you still havn't answered any of my questions." Jakel pointed out.

She smiled at K'dan, patted him on the arm and replied, "Gee K'dan. Me get hurt? That never happens. I never dive into things head first. At least not alone, if I do that's only because someone talked me into it.". She bit her lip and then said, "Besides Sh'iron only handled him because he got there first. If I did that kid would be missing at /least/ one toe.". As she said the last thing she pantomined punching something, swinging her arms with fists closed.

K'dan smiled at Akki, "I guess that means you will let it be then. He's gone anyway". K'dan gave a bit of a frown though, he truely hoped Akki would leave things be. This guy didn't seem like the type you wanted to mess with.
Just then a blue flitt flew by and smacked into Akki, soon followed by G'han. "There you are you mischivous little thing", he said as he grabbed the flitt from Akki's face. "Oh sorry Akki. He seems to be a bit playful today", he said to her. He looked over at Sh'iron who seemed mad at something. "Is something wrong Weyrleader Sh'iron", he asked the weyrleader. G'han had on some lighter clothes and was sweating. He had just got back from training some and his flitt wanted to help apparently. He wiped the sweat from his brow and gave a sigh.
