Regardless of the sunny sky above, her head was clouded within'... The waves rolled-in and out gently, not like the violent waves the ocean often portrayed on hotter days. A body of a girl lay by the waves, appearing to be unconscious. Her skin, pale. Her clothing? Drenched.
She slowly came to, eyes slowly opening, her breathing light. She lay still, unmoving. 'Where am I?' she thought to herself, the waves officially stretching far enough as to roll over the mid-section of her body. She couldn't seem to bring herself to sit-up or do anything that would indicate her being alive... Rukbat beat down on the girl's form, sand having clung to her clothes. Her long brownish-blond hair was filled with sand (which often happened to any one with wet hair after having swam.) She closed her eyes over once more, hands resting at her sides. Slowly she moved the fingers of her right hand, putting it out in front of her face. She turned her arm one way and then the other way, as if scanning for any cuts or scrapes. 'No...' she thought to herself, putting her hand back down next to her side.
She rested for a moment longer, soon gaining-up enough energy to sit-up. She winced, teeth clamping together as a pain shot up her front. She quickly lay back down, her breathing have changed to a raspier-state. She made a whining noise, not going as far as to cry. She brought a hand to her hair, brushing her long bangs out of her eyes. She then placed her right hand up on her stomach gently, using her left hand to slowly pull-up her shirt. Her right hand now rested on bare skin, her shirt have been pulled up as far as the beginning of her chest. She then brought her right hand back to her face, dark red blood now dripping down her arm.

A green dragon popped into the sky from /between/. The green swirled around a moment as she spiraled closer to the ground.
~What is that?~ Nira asked the dragon as she spotted something laying on the sand but it looked just to be a dot from her.
It looks like a human from here but I am not sure. Let's take a closer look. Siarath replied. Besides, that is the Hold we are searching. Siarath flew down lower. It is a human and he or she looks to be in pain. Siarath noted worridly.
~Quickly get down there.~ Nira instructed.
Siarath moved closer and landed a bit away from the girl. She didn't want to injure the human further or cover her in sand when she wings flapped above.
Nira quickly dismounted and ran towards the beach.
Siarath ran next to her though the run looked akward for dragon were more made for air speed then land speed.
Nira reached the girl and knelt beside her. ~She is bleeding. Get the healers out here. We will do the Search quickly. I trust Nike more but the cold of /between/ could hurt her more. We don't know what is wrong with her. It could kill her.~ Nira almost shouted to the green in desperation.
Siarath bugled loudly. The sound echoed off of the walls of the hold, filling the ears of anyone living within or near the area.

Christae was logging the new shipment in from the hold nearest them when she heard the bugle of alarm. Kaith raised her head. It is Siarath. She calls for help!
Christae took off at a dead run to her weyr and grabbed the gold's riding straps. She paused to jam on her riding helmet and shrugged herself into her jacket. Her jacket was left unbuckled and she wore thin boots instead of her wher-hide riding boots but she couldn't afford to take the time. She quickly put Kaith's riding straps on and leapt astride. The gold landed and saw several healers running to see what was the matter.
"Siarath, Nira's green is calling for help. She was on a Searchrider mission and someone is hurt. Get on!" She leaned down as two of the healers tried to mount Kaith with their kits and hauled them aboard. Kaith waited patiently. "You, be ready for anything when we get back. We don't know how bad the situation is." Kaith launched herself with a jarring leap, making Christae's head snap backwards.
They appeared above where Nira and Siarath were leaning over a prone figure half-in the water. Kaith landed a few feet away as Siarath had done and her passengers scrambled to where the green and her rider were kneeling.

Kaith is coming. Siarath informed her rider right before the gold could be seen in the sky.
Nire sighed greatfully when she saw healers with the large gold. "I don't know what is wrong." She tried to explained but was rushing and her words began to stumble together. "We saw something laying here and we came down and she is bleeding, but alive. She is barely moving and her breathing is light." Nira told them worridly.

The sound of voices didn't go unnoticed by her, though they did seem to ring through her head rather painfully. 'Shard it,' she thought to herself, looking straight-up at the Green Searchrider. 'What?' she wondered, confused by the girl's presence. Her head turned to glance at her bleeding hand, shirt having been embarrassedly pulled back down as the blood seemed to soak through her tunic. 'How bad are you Wolf?' she thought, biting her lip as a disturbing thought entered her mind. 'Am I going to get out of this?' She wasn't all that sure how it had happened... aye'. She was sure racking her brain for this one... "Where is he?" she whispered to herself.
A flashback, having been hidden away in the closets of her mind, made her think of him all the more. "No!" she yelled-out. 'What was I thinking to have left him there? Its all my fault... I can't do anything about it...' Tears streamed down her soft cheeks, her hands turning to fists as she pounded the sand once, in anger. Her thoughts made her almost completely forget about the other humans around her, unaware that they were also accompanied by their draconic-like companions.

Nira looked worridly at the injured girl. "Where is who? What is wrong?" She asked, afriad that the girl was becoming delerious.
What is wrong little one? Siarath asked politly sticking her large head in front of the injured girl.

Kaith too leaned over the girl, her jeweled-faceted eyes flashing with worry. Christae turned to the Healers. "Tend to her! Don't just stand there gaping at her."
The Healers leapt into action, pulling her out of the water and tending to her wounds.

At the sight of the dragon heads she stared on wards, awe-struck. 'They must be dragonriders... Well, better then Weyrfolk I guess...' As the words came out of both the girl and dragons' mouths she didn't care to answer. 'They can't help me if they don't know what's wrong but, I don't know what's wrong!' Perhaps she was becoming delirious? Her lack of socialism, preferring to think individually rather then speak-out, would cause most to thing there was constantly something wrong. She parted her lips to speak. She willed to say, "its none of your business who he is," but she was not often rude. Instead she said, seeming to be unintentionally speaking to herself once more, "he's really gone... Its been so long now, hasn't it?"
As the Healer's lifted her limp body she did nothing. She had a feeling that she wasn't in any trouble, with them that is, or... was she? She immediately recognized some of them as Healer's, especially once they began to tend to her wounds. She scoffed, rather unconfident about her body (though she had no reason to be.) A flush came to her cheeks, the pain increasing as it returned to her front. "By the first egg!" she yelled out, wincing as opposed to smacking them all away. The fact that they cared to help her she thought to be a miracle...

Nira sighed. "Please don't be like this." She asked hopefully. "They are only trying to help you. We all are." Nira explained. "We aren't trying to hurt you or take anything.." she paused. "or anyone away from you." SHe added at the thought of how the girl was upset that someone was gone.
Siarath stood there for a moment as if in deep thought.Might I ask your name? She asked curiously, only the girl being able to hear her voice. She blocked out NIra, as she often did when searching.

Wolf nodded at Nira's words, issuing a 'hm' there after. Her gaze fell up on the green once more, cursing under her breathe as the pain did not will to cease. "Wolf," she said softly. She hoped that the dragon wasn't officially confused, considering the name belonged to an earth-bound species. She wanted to struggle, brake-free from the people around her (the people that were now touching her.)
She lay there still, closing her eyes, to rest. 'I'll find you...'

Just think it to me, Wolf. Don't hurt youself trying to communicate. What, if it is ok to ask, were you doing that got you hurt? SHe wondered, curiosity knawing on the insides of Siarath's dark green hide.
Nira looked at her bonded. It took her but a moment to realize what was happening. She had searched enough time to realize these things.

Kaith realized that the grean was speaking to the girl because of the unfoucused look in the girl's eyes that appeared when any dragon spoke mind-to-mind but she could not hear what she was saying. Christae watched the girl struggle against the Healers.
"Please remain still. You have lost a lot of blood and if you keep moving we cannot bind the wounds. Nira, you and Siarath will have to take one of the Healers back to the weyr and have her alert the infirmary. I will follow with her and the other Healer straight flight. She cannot be brought /between/. We will lose her. We need to get her back to the Weyr and get her cleaned up. Once she is feeling better we might be able to get her story straight."
The Healers worked quickly in the small lull where the girl wasn't fighting. They bound her wound tightly in the hopes that the pressure would stop the bleeding. They tidied up their packs and waited to help lift the girl up onto Kaith's broad back. The large gold crouched low. "Siarath is faster so you can get to the Weyr and tell them to prepare. They might have to stitch the wound closed. Kaith won't be pushed about by the wind as much."

((They can't hear what Siarath is saying. I specifically wrote that only Wolf could hear.))
Siarath snorted at her orders. I am busy doing my job. I will go when I finish. Siarath told all angrily.
~My green, we may not be able to wait. What happens if you decide this girl is worthy but we end up losing her because you wouldn't go to alert the others.
Siarath glared at her mine but gave in with a sigh. Fine, but we are coming straight back. Other riders shall have to take the healers here. I wish to finish my questions. Siarath whirled her head away from the injured girl and squated down.
Nira helped the healer onto the large green's back then got on herself. She had forgotten to take her helmet off with all of the excitement. ~Let's go.~ Nira said to the green so that she knew Nira was ready.
Siarath brought her head up, her many-faceted eyes looking in the sky. She beat her powerful wings, once, twice, three times before the dragon lifted of the ground. They rose higher and higher untill they dissapeared into between.
I will be back to finish my questions. Siarath said for Wolf's ears and her ears only.

((my apologies...i did not catch that..i have been rather rushed with my posts....edited it....oooo haughty Queen time lol))
Kaith growled when the green protested. SHE was Queen, not this green, no matter how large she was. YOU will do as you are told WHEN you are told, NOT when it pleases you! The life of the human hangs in the balance and YOU wish to question her.
"Peace Kaith. I am certain that they understand the gravity of the situation. Forgive her Nira, she is becoming broody again." Christae's brows furrowed. A broody Queen meant a flight in the near future. "I just can't believe she will fly again so soon after her maiden flight."
She watched as Nira and the Healer mounted the large green and pumped her arm in the signal to lift off. Christae leaned over and Kaith lifted her wings to block the draft from the large green's takeoff. She turned to the Healer. "Help me get her on Kaith's back." Kaith crouched back down as far as she could go, extending her forearm to use as a boost for the two humans. Christae counted to three and she and the Healer lifted. They settled the deadweight of the girl onto the gold's back with difficulty. Christae hitched her riding straps to keep her in place. She and the Healer would have to do without. Kaith rose to her feet and launched herself, trying not to jar her riders. The wind whipped Christae's hair and she jammed her helmet on. She left her jacket open. The sea air was warm. After a bit of thought she shucked off the jacket and positioned it on the injured girl.

Siarath popped back and realized that they were gone. At first she grew angry but found the large queen flying. Luckily the queen wasn't flying her fastest. Siarath quickly caught up with some hard flaps of her wings. She found the girl laying on Kaiths back and continued her questioning.
How are you? Siarath asked, wondering if the girl had at least enough strength to reply.

All the commotion, all the different unidentifiable voices about... It was all too much, too much for right now at least.
As Wolf was lifted up on the back of the great golden Queen, Kaith, she was not all that eager to leave the area of the beach... "Thank-you," she said rather quietly once the jacket was placed over her. For her own sake she was hoping that the Green would not come back for more questions, wishing to be left alone, the way she currently liked it. No body was good enough for her right now, no body but him. No one knew who 'he' was and she didn't think that they'd ever have a chance of knowing (especially if she didn't live.)
As the Gold took-off and the Green was soon beside her a sigh could be heard from the girl. She sent, to Siarath, "I've had my better days if you don't mind me saying so." A shiver ran up her spine as the chill wind passed over her. She wished that she could move but, truth be told, it was a difficult task to achieve. She had always been tough (even as a child) but this was a different time and a different situation. She was not being rude, she wouldn't dare, glad of the hospitality of both the Queenrider as well as the Greenrider.

Do you mind if I ask you more questions, or would you rather wait till you feel better? Siarath asked. She remeber every one bugging her about searching a candidate when it might kill her. That would be pointless and her time would have been wasted.

Wolf had been used to silence for quite some time now, talking to some one was... refreshing. "Its alright, I don't mind talking now." She did her best to turn her head, looking to the Green. Dragons had always astounded her. She studied Siarath for a moment, noticeably staring. Up on having realized this she looked away, looking to the higher sky, considering they were already in it (the sky that is). 'We can make it, you always told me that... I believe you, even now. Please, oh let there still be a you for my empty soul to believe in. If I was lucky enough to get this far then I know you have also,' she thought.

Siarath gave a dragonic smile as Wolf turned away once catching herself staring. Do not worry, many are amazed at the sight of dragons. You should have seen me when I first hatched. I was so interested in humans. Siarath recalled.
You are so worried. Are you afraid? Are you worried for another? I do not wish to intrude but simply question your reasons as dragons often do on Search. Would you like to be a dragonrider? Siarath questioned. Many would jump at this question or scream in excitement or happiness, but Wolf couldn't do anything and she felt slightly upset by this factor but didn't let Nira find out.

Christae nodded distractedly when the green pair popped in from/ between/. She was focusing on helping her Queen spot rough spots. She was looking through the golden dragon's eyes and feeling with her body. Her eyes focused on Nira and Siarath long enough for her to see that they had arrived and then refocused on the air currents. Queen and Weyrwoman were one and the same.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mneith emerged from /between/ and, like Siarath, realized that the party had moved on. He began to gain altitude, catching a thermal updraft and winging his way up so that he could see. They could discern the others a good ways away, lowly moving out of his line of sight. He flew with all the speed he could, his wings strong. He quickly caught up on the thermal drafts that Kaith couldn't use with the injured girl on her back. He sent back the recent coordinates to the other dragons getting ready to follow them.
Hello my Queen, Siarath. The brown greeted the other riders. Rhia gave the Wingsecond's salute to the Weyrwoman and waved to Nira and the Healer. Mneith came closer and tossed blankets to the Healer and Christae.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Christae nodded her thanks. The Healer wrapped himself in one blanket, grateful for the warmth. Christae took her jacket back and wrapped the girl in the thick fur blankets, making sure that she would be warmer than with the riding jacket.
