K'dan gave a bit of a smile and rubbed the back of his head. "It's not like I didn't believe or trust you. It's just....I wanted to make sure you would be ok. So are you mad at me?", K'dan said to Nike.

Nike smiled and shook her head. "Nope, I'm not mad at you. But I will be more careful when I try something of the likes like this one again," She said wagging her finger at him. "Oh, and now since we can fly, and soon go /between/ we can
go to Southern Boll's Spring gather soon!" She said happily.

K'dan sighed in relief that she wasn't mad at him. "Oh yea with all thats been going on lately i nearly forgot", he said as he smiled at her. "It's good to hear you will be careful next time. It gave me a bit of a scare that you were out here flying by yourself. Not even Hydrath and myself are fully use to it yet.
Yes perhaps if you could slim down more then it wouldn't be such a chore for me.
"Hey I am not big. You are just lazy and need more exercise if you can't handle my wait", K'dan said to his dragon.
Yes I must admit you are rather small for a human.
"First my weight and now my size. Enough with the jokes. If I weren't so small as you say then you would have to deal with a heavier rider which means that would be more work and weight for you", K'dan said, a bit annoyed at his dragons remarks. ~What, are you trying to make me look bad infront of Nike and the Weyrwoman~, K'dan continued so no one else could hear.
No just poking fun that is all. Nike seems to enjoy it, why dont you.
K'dan simply rolled his eyes. Knowing the Weyrwoman and Nike heard every last thing the blue said.

Nike smiled and walke dup to K'dan.
"Don't worry. Hydrath will get bigger, and then soon he will be able to support you. After all, he has just learned to fly with you on his back not to long ago," The white rider said as she placed a hand on K'dan's shoulder.
"And I like small people. After all, am I not one?" She asked in an undertone.

K'dan smiled as she talked about the blue. "Yes and perhaps then he will grow out of being so lazy and complaining", he said as he smiled at the blue.
I am not lazy and I do not complain that often.
~Oh yes you do~, K'dan replied simply. He looked over at Nike and blushed when she said she liked small people. He looked at her hand that was on his shoulder. He took it and held it and gave a little mischivous smile and said jokingly, "Yes you are small". He slowly let her hand go and continued, "But I like small people too".
About time you cracked a joke. I was begining to think there wasn't a funny bone in your body.

Nike smiled and cocked her head at the blue.
"Yes you are Hydrath. I mabey you change." She grinned and then turend to K'dan.
When K'dan took her hand, she smiled.
"Why thank you K'dan, I was waiting for you to say that!" She said and gave a mock-bow.
Then Nike a little snort of laughter at Hydrath's words.
Ruanth looked over, and decied to join the three.
You shouldn't make fun of your rider so. He can't help it that he's not that fun to be around. Just
be glad that Mine is here to help him come out of his shell.
the white said to the blue, and his rider.
Nike glared at her dragon.
"Now that's wasn't nice."
But it was the truth.

"Hydrath you need to learn to shut your mouth. Your words are too contagious", he said to the blue. He then turned his attention to Nike. "Am I really not fun to be around?", he said in a sad yet joking tone.
I can not help that Ruanth and I think alike. We both think you need to joke around more and she is the one who said come out of your shell not me. The blue was quick to point out, yet not trying to shift blame on Ruanth.

Nike smiled, and shook her head.
"No, you are fun to be around. Don't worry about it. It's just that Ruanth hears to many things from firelizard and dragons who should keep their mouths shut. But I like you K'dan, and you have a dragon, a firelizard, and friends. So you are fine!"
She said, patting his shoulder.
Ruanth glared at Hydrath.
Well, I think I have spent too much time around you, Hydrath. And plus, you still didn't catch me yet.
The white said this latter part with her head raised high.

You have spent too much time around me? And as far as catching you. I would have caught you if we didn't have to stop. Hydrath said with a dragonic smile at the white. You are fast yes but it does not mean I can't catch you. He continued complimenting Ruanth.
"Yes I guess your right. How could I go wrong if I have you here", K'dan said still with a smile and the same joking tone.
What no more blushing or shying away from her. Who knows maybe Nike has gotten him out of his shell already. Hydrath said to Ruanth yet allowed K'dan and Nike to hear as well.
K'dan didn't reply but simply rolled his eyes at his dragons comment.

There was no use mourning. His friend would not have liked that. What good does it do anyways? He did is time moping and he could not let his life be ruined. His friend would surely agree.
"Nice flyong, Ruanth. I'm impressed though I had a feeling when you did take to the skies you'd be amazing. As for small people, my 'body building' hasn't gotten me away from that group so I guess that means I have people still around." He smirked and walked to the crowd. Aureth looked to Ruanth and hid his thoughts from his Mine and Nike, sure to keep it hidden. He noticed Hydrath's presence and included him as well. K'dan was startled when Aureth and D'ran spoke. "Oh hey D'ran. How long have you been around. I didn't see you", he said wondering if he originally had the same idea as he did when he saw Nike fly. "Yeah I forgot to tell you. I guess I was too busy worrying but you and Ruanth were great Nike", K'dan said to her.
Hydrath asked curiously. What has happened?

D'ran swallowed hard and forced a smile. It was pretty realistic, almost impossible to differ from a real one. His own bonded had trouble with it. "Oh, I was just listening. Kaith came before I could congragulate you two, though. So much for trying to be first." He shrugged and continued the smile he had made.

Christae listened to them talk with a small smile on her face. "No one is to know about Nike and Ruanth flying tonight. No one. If I find out that someone has told that person will be punished and trust me, Kaith can find out who did it."
She smiled. "Take it easy tomorrow Ruanth. I want you and Nike to meet me here after the Watchdragon sounds the tenth hour. Most of the riders should be asleep by then. I must warn you though, if I don't think she is in any shape to fly, she won't. She will have to wait another day. I think she will be ready to go /between/ with the other weyrlings, but just remember, there is always a chance that she might not be ready. You should be ready to go to the Gather though." She smiled. "Rub the salve that I will give you generously into Ruanth's joints and muscles, especially the joints. "
"I cannot deny that she flew well Nike. Kaith is a larger dragon, she won't be as agile. Just remember that in endurance she beats you, as do all of the other dragons. I heard what Rhia told the Weyrlings the first day they flew. I am not deaf. I agreed but I have to be impartial. I have a large dragon, a Queen, but I certainly hope I don't act that high and mighty. I am simply glad that she is not Sr. Queen. I will enjoy watching you prove Miya and her beloved Reinath wrong. I sincerely hope you are ready for our own Weyr games. They will be held two days before the Gather. I hope you trounce them. Aureth and Hydrath as well. They need to be shown that smaller dragons are not worthless. Now, I think it is time for you and Ruanth to walk back Nike. No more flying for tonight please. K'dan, D'ran, you two should walk as well, that way if anyone questions you, you could say that you couldnt sleep and wound up waking the others and went for a walk. I want Nike and Ruanth's flight to be a secret until its time to teach them to go /between/."

K'dan's initial thought of Christae being here was that Nike would be in some trouble. He was relieved to see otherwise. "Of course I will walk back with Nike and don't worry I have been waiting for the chance to show up Miya. I won't tell anyone either", he said with a smile. He offered his arm out to Nike, "Shall we head back then".
Do not worry I will beat them. I will prove that my size does not inhibit me in the least. Hydrath said with confidence, ready to prove everyone wrong that his size didn't mean he was a pathetic dragon, as he was called many times.

Nike nodded. "Yes alright Christae," Nike said nodded her head slowly. Then she smiled and D'ran and pulled him towards her and K'dan. She put her arms around the shoulders as she led them towards the Weyr. "Yes I am glad that we are all small. We have small dragons too. We should make a guild of somesort. One that proves that small people can be strong! Like Lessa, and Ruth, and wasn't Jaxmon small?" Nike said brightly, grinning, not knowing what troubled D'ran. Nike's arm around K'dan's shoulders was slightly tighter than the ones around D'ran. Ruanth nodded. You will catch me only if I let you too Hydrath, and I am sorry to hear that. Yours will feel better. Just like Mine did when she had lost Tirith. I had never met the green, but what Mine tells about her, she was the best green out there. Ruanth said with a nudge to the much larger blue. ((I think you should make K'dan older, and taller. Right now he is two inches shorter than Nike. And four Turns younger. It's been, let's say two Turns since K'dan came here. make him 17. That way his age is closer to Nike's  )) |

Guess that puts Aureth out of the picture as the one you want to catch Ruanth. Perhaos i should not have said that but when I find out things or predict them (and I have this for a long while) it's hard for me not to say something.

You just say that so you can spend time with her.
~Hydrath shut your mouth~, he said then whispered loud enough to where only Nike could hear. "One could say the same for you and Ruanth".
His dragon merely snorted and had no further comment.
"I know how to get him to stop running his mouth", he said to Nike.

Nike smiled and nodded as she led her friends back. Ruanth following along.
At Hydrath's and K'dan's words, Nike smiled and gave a little laugh.
"Yes that is a good way to get him to stop talking," Nike smiled and looked up at the sky, then her stomach rumbled.
"Oh, I haven't eaten yet today. I need something to eat. Wanna join me?" She asked her friends, then nodded to Christae.
"You can join too. Or do you want to go check on Sh'iron and your babe?"
Ruanth snorted.
I can think what ever I want. Plus, I know I can fly faster than you.
She said, holding her head high in a gold-like fashion.

Yes of course my mine would never turn down an invitation that had food involved in it. Hydrath said then turned his attention back to Ruanth. As I have said before my dear Ruanth. You are indeed fast, but it doesn't mean that you can beat me so easily. I believe I indeed can catch you.
