Aureth smiled.
He probably could have caught her but he intended to play so he had splashed her instead.
He took deep breath, a bit tired.
He might not be as agile but had the endurance and when he flew he would probably have the speed to do better.

Akki rubbed her eyes as she wandered to where all the others were. She had barely gotten sleep last night, images of her brother continously flooded into her head. She was ashamed to admit it but she had forgotten him when she was here, and B'kin's brother reminded her of hers. She sighed before she was nudged forward by Ebbeth who was behind her. I wouldn't bet on that. I caught you today didn't I. I am very fast and agile. Was Hydrath gloating. It seemed the dragon changed a bit since the hatching. K'dan gave a worried look. What if Ruanth did fly to mate and what if Hydrath did catch her? What if today was a forshadow of what would come? He quickly pushed the thought away and asked his dragon to talk about something else other than flying Ruanth. His dragon looked puzzled but did as his bonded asked.

"It's your birthingday? Mine is in just 5 days," she said happily.

Aureth was careful to only speak to D'ran.

D'ran smiled at his dragon and looked back at the others.

She kept her eyes on the large blue, who was continously dipping under the water and dissapearing before coming back up, only to spray water at a surprised flitt. [glow=blue,2,300]Join me, mine. Forget about what ever you are thinking[/glow] He told her as he slipped under the surface once more. I was thinking of becoming a hermit and living under a table in the kitchen She replied, all though that was not even close to her real thoughts. [glow=blue,2,300]I would not allow you to do that. Nike shook the thought away, then swam over to Ruanth who was still with Hydrath.
So, are you going to leave him and come with me to dry off? She asked her dragon.
No, I think I shall stay with him a bit. The white said.
As Nike swam to the shore, she could have sworn that she heard a hint of smugness in Ruanth's voice.

Aureth sighed and silently dipped under the water. He swam to Hydrath and popped up from behind. With a loud plop he had finally caught him.

The dragon yelled happily. He looked to Ruanth and smiled.
[glow=blue,2,300]You best watch you back.[/glow]
His eyes swirled and he was happy.
It seemed Ruanth had met a dragon that she might want to fly her. D'ran smiled at the thought of K'dan having a Weyrmate. "Wait up, Nike," he called after the Healer.

K'dan watched as Nike swam off. He gave a puzzled look, thinking maybe something was wrong but continued to play around. He looked over to notice Hydrath and Ruanth playing together, they seemed really close. He noticed that Nike's dragon wanted to stay with Hydrath rather than go with her bonded. He was a bit confused by this but shrugged it off. He sent a wave over to D'ran.

Nike waited as she stood at the edge of the lake. The water lapping around her ankles.
"Yeah I'm waiting. I just need to get tan now!" She said. Once D'ran had caught up, she went over to her towel, laid it out, then rested down with her back. Her hair was straight, and dripping wet. Her bathing suit clung to her tightly.
Zim and Crystal came, and streached out around her. Wings, tails, legs, and necks were all out and taking up the sun.
Ruanth looked at Aureth and nodded. I always do! You better watch your own!
She said swam around her friends.

D'ran laughed when K'dan splashed him.

"I have some in my room. Hold on." Nike said with out getting up.
Zim and Crystal perked up and looked at Nike closely. THen they winked /between/.
Soon they came back clutching a bottle of oil. The two rested it beside D'ran then flew over to Nike.
"You owe me a full bottle of oil." She said with a chuckle.

Hydrath jumped in suprise then whirled himself between Aureth and Ruanth. You had better watch your own back. You mess with her you mess with me. He tagged the blue right back and splashed water at him. K'dan got out of the water and joined Nike and D'ran. He laid out by her and looked down at his torso. He had a better muscular shape now though his tan was starting to fade. When he was at the hold he had a good tan but now it had started to fade away.

Aureth looked at the dragons.

Nike smiled when she heard K'dan lay down beside her.
"It sounds like Hydrath is now protective of Ruanth." She said hearing the blue.
Ruanth nudged Hydrath with her nose.
Thank you! You are a very strong dragon! She said with a slight croon.
Nike blushed at her white's words.

D'ran frowned at Aureth.
Aureth had done a nice thing for Hydrath but it was almost like Hydrath had taken it too far.
He seemed like a worrying mother or as if he had actually flown the little white.
Maybe it was just because they were both small but Aureth felt a little left out.

Ebbeth floated at the top of the water, splashing water every time the small green flitt breached the surface of the water. He was starting to get bored of the game, but Sargon enjoyed the attention so continued. He glanced at Aureth and said [glow=blue,2,300]Are you bored also small blue?[/glow]

Ruanth turned to Aureth.
Come on! I want to play! She said diving under the water. She dodged
around Hydrath, and snaked around the other dragons.
Nike nodded, but said nothing. Her hair, face, and bady was drying. The sun felt so good!
She could not wait till she was tan again!
