Kaith angled her large wings to glide down to the edge of the beach. She paused to drop her rider off on the sand, waiting patiently as her chosen unloaded a large basket that was almos to heavy for her and a bag with a blanket and some extra clothing. She launched herself and hovered before diving into the deeper water a few yards from shore.
Christae set down a blanket and laid out the utensils for the picnic she had brought. She left the food in the cool confines of the basket for the day was unusually warm for fall. They were in an Indian Summer. Christae wondered where the name had come from. Some said that it was a name kept from old Terra, but the planet was just a legend.
She had told the other riders, weyrling and older rider alike that she would be going to the beach today. She had packed a large picnic lunch and brought it with her. She hoped that the others would join her. She had extended an invitation. A few had said that they would come but some said they would see what they were doing.
The young Weyrwoman had declared the day a day of rest for more than one reason. Everyone was probably tired from the Hatching and today was her birthday. She had left a note for Sh'iron where he could find it, explaining that today was her birthday and she intended to enjoy it at the beach.
Kaith crooned with pleasure as the warm water caressed her golden hide. She was in a better mood now that her eggs had hatched. The Sr. Queen was immensly proud of herself. The gold bugled a greeting when the local pod of dolphins swam up. The dolphins sported and played with the large gold. Kaith dove and splashed around with them, for all the world looking like a dragonet again instead of the large, mature Queen she was.
Christae laughed as she watched her beloved's antics. She slipped off the short breeches she wore over her bathing suit and untied the laces of her tunic. She slipped it off and stretched out on a towel in the sun.

Gerenanth came from between with G'han riding him. Today he would have fun on the beach. Gerenanth quickly dived in the water with G'han shouting at the top of his lungs in excitement. The two sent a wave over towards Christae and G'han quickly emerged from the water with a goofy grin on his face. Gerenanth came under and threw his rider out of the water. G'han landed on his feet near Christae and bowed, as if it were a show for her. Today G'han would get to goof off.

Christae had sat up on her towel when she heard the racket G'han was making. She laughed at the bronzerider's antics.
"Hello to you too." She told him. "Is Rhia coming today? She said that she felt a bit tired when I asked her. She brought quite a few people back to their holds last night."
Greetings Gerenanth. Kaith said and then knocked the bronze over.

"I haven't a clue. Lately we have been missing each other. Each of us having to be busy with all the recent events. I hope she comes today. I would like for her to be here while I get to have my day of goofing off. I heard that today, perhaps, is your birthday. So how old is our weyrwoman?", he said. Gerenanth fell under water then recovered and stuck his tail out of the water and splashed Kaith. Hello to you too Kaith. Don't think that just because you are bigger than me that I am easy. G'han gave a mishcivous grin and picked Christae up and tossed her into the water. He was gentle enough to where it didn't hurt her and made sure it was deep water to where she wouldn't hit anything. "I won't be the only one here to be wet", he proclaimed. He and Christae were the only ones there so who else to goof around with.

Miya walked toward the beach. She wore a black bathingsuit, that she borrowed from one of the woman in the lower caverns.
Reinath trudged actively at her side. She hadn't done much the day before and energy now coarsed through her body.
Miya layed out a dark blue towel and sat on it, watching as G'han and Christae, played together, along with their dragons.
Mine, I am off to go swim. The small gold ran into the water, happily. The water feels good. Reinath hummed with pleasure But those dragons and their riders, better not splash me or I will be a very unhappy dragon. The dragon told her mine.
How rare. Miya thought sarcastically, hiding the remark from her bonded.

A large green dragon dived from the sky, plummeting into the water with her rider still on her back. The riding straps had been removed, and the girl let go of her bonded and swam to the shore.
"Christae, Happy Birthingday." Nira shouted to the Weyrwoman. She picked up the towel she had dropped before plunging into the water. She folded it neatly and placed it off to the side, where it wouldn't get wet.
Yes. A very happy birthing day. Siarath shouted into everyone's mind with a great deal of happiness.

K'dan came running out of nowhere and accidnetly kicked sand on Miya. Hydrath trailed behind, also running and kicked more sand on her. The two jumped in the water and began swimming. A big splash followed when they lept in and splashed anyone near by.

Nike came trotted in with Ruanth at her side. Zim and Crystal were zooming over head and cherping madly.
The girl sighed and looked down at her pale, lanky body. She wore her two peice bikini like suite. She wore no shirt, but had on a pair of old, breeches that were too big for her. Her long hair was pulled up with only a few strands falling from the thong.
A towel was slung over her left arm as she walked barefoot to the lake. It was a nice, hot day, and she could get tan!
The girl grinned as she spotted her friends. Ruanth let out a soft, warble and started running towards the lake, stopping at the water's edge. The white was waiting for her Mine.

Hello Hydrath. Nikemine and I are fine. I will come as soon as Nikemine is finshed.
Nike waved back and put her towle on the ground, then slipped her breeches off. As soon as they slid to her feet she ran into the water and was soon swimming under all of her friends.
Ruanth dove in after her Mine, following closely.

D'ran ran to the lake with a large smile.
He had his shirt and a towel over his shoulder.
He wore a pair of pale pants which he had cut to go just below his knee.
Aureth followed closely behind and ran to Ruanth.

K'dan smiled and dove underwater. He wanted to make sure Nike didn't pull anything on him. That is good Hydrath splashed Ruanth when she came in.

As Ruanth dived in Aureth smiled and looked at his Mine.
D'ran took a running start and jumped into the water.
Aureth also dove in and swam beside his bonded.
D'ran swam under water and opened his eyes for a breif moment.
He saw Ruanth and Nike and swam to the side of Ruanth, careful to not get scratched.
He grabbed the Healer's ankle and slapped his head up, taking a deep breath.
Aureth stopped and then swam next to Ruanth.

Ruanth swam around the two blues. She was agile in the water, as she soon would be in the air.
Nike had her eyes open, she could see K'dan swimming under so she wouldn't pull anything off on him.
Then she felt a hand grab her ankle. The girl turned around to see D'ran grinning at her.
She moved up, and sucked in more air the swam over to D'ran, his hand still on her ankle.

D'ran grinned and took a deep breath.
He looked ominously -in a playful way- at her.
With an almost jump out of the water he swam under, pulling her down.
He wasn't sure if she had enough air, though, so he quickly let go and swam to the top.
Aureth swam as well.
He was a bit bigger so he wouldn't be /as/ agile but he still was quite agile.

K'dan gave a grin. He swam to D'ran and grabbed his ankle and drug him further under water. Being from a hold by the sea, he knew how to swim well. He threw D'ran further down and surfaced for air. He swam to Nike, "I think I paid him back for you". He smiled, today he would get to play around.

Nike glared at D'ran, then smiled when he let her go.
She swam to the air and took a deep breath.
"Oh I'm going to get you!" She said splashing water on the boy then dover under, grabed his waist, and pulled him under.
Once they were a bit down she let go, and broke the surface to get some air.
Ruanth was still the same size, and was swimming around, and doing loops.

D'ran looked up and saw a couple pairs of feet.
He identified K'dan and slwoly and silently swam up.
He stayed behind and treaded water but below the surface.
~Aureth, some help me splash them.~
Aureth nodded and swam to his Mine.
D'ran counted to three and the two splashed both Weyrling with a wave of water.

"Two can play at that game. Hydrath get him", he shouted. Hydrath nodded and sent a wave back at him. ~Hydrath position between us and D'ran and be ready to throw back anything he gives us~, he said. Hydrath positioned himself and got ready.

Aureth grinned and dived atop Hydrath.
He was sure not to be /too/ hard because he had the advantage of being bigger than ol' Hydrath.
D'ran whipped his hands against the water and splashed K'dan.
He swam up and whispered to just him, "We should team up and get Nike from all side."
He was sure to be careful when he swam up and to seem as if he wanted to talk.

"Ack see what you have done. Now she is against me. I have no choice now", he said. He sent a wave at Nike. Hydrath dove under when he saw the larger Aureth jump at him. He surfaced behind him and splashed him.
