B’kin raised an eyebrow as Malenie answered his question. The way she said her name it seemed like she expected him to know it already. “Er… well nice to meet you, Malenie.” He wasn’t quite sure to think of Malenie. He looked at Kia trying to figure out what she thought of Malenie. Ronoth continued to watch the new candidate with his multi-faceted eyes.

D'ran looked oddly at Nike's cards. "Well I'll be," he said, laying down his cards. As each card flicked the table making a click with each it turned into the clutch. He grinned broadly at his own cards, happy with how it went. He was counted out quickly and now he showed them. As Aureth heard D'ran's thoughts and saw how he felt he smiled. That was how it must have felt for Hydrath when he had caught Ruanth in the lakea little while back.

K'dan looked back and forth from Nike to D'ran. "Looks like you have new competition, Nike", K'dan said. He looked over to his sleeping blue curled up near Ruanth. "I swear he sleeps more every day. I would hope he is not a lazy dragon. Oh well atleast he doesn't act like it when he is awake", he said.
"Bah D'ran also beats me", G'han said suprised. Azure flew to his shoulder looking at G'han and chirped. "Hey there", he said as he scratched the firelizards eyeridges.

Nike grinned at D'ran. "I'm Impressed." She said. "You gotta play with Sh'iron and me one day." The healer leaned back in her chair, her hands on the back of her head. Ruanth turned to look at Aureth, her eyes whirling softly in the dim glowlight of the lower caverens.

Aureth yawned slightly, breathing slowly after that. He felt very calm here right now. D'ran blushed at Nike's request. "I'm sure it was all luck this round," he said with a toothy grin.

"Kylath," Kia cried as she heard another thump, "Are you trying to change the color of your hide again?!" Kia recalled the time Kylath came out looking white.

Nike smiled. "Good. Well we can teach you so it won't be luck." She said, grinning. What skills did she have? Healing, cooking, dragon poker, and dragonriding. That was enough. And in each one she was great at. The girl snorted at the thought of how bad her Harpering, fishing, weaving, tanning, and farming were. She was the worst at it all.

Kia went over to help her dragon up. She peeked her head in the barrack and grinned a bit embarassed. "Uuuhh... my dragon will introduce her name and color momentarily," she blurted out as Kylath tripped over her own tail. "Kylath," Kia shouted. Her dragon was just very clumsy today.

Malenie glared at Kia. "Why should I care about your dragon's name and color? Hmm, her name's Kylath? So she is a green." She said smirking. "Greens are very low ranking dragons."

Kia took that as an insult and Kylath did too. "She is not a low ranking dragon," Kia almost shouted. Kylath bellowed as she entered the room. [shadow=red,left,300]I am a much higher rank then any dragon you will get![/shadow]Kylath was begining to take on a slight personality of a bronze seeing she could be a little full of herself sometimes. Her color made her feel special.
((Thanks, Nike, I like making conflict ^^))

Malenie cocked her head when Kylath entered. "So? I will porbablly get a queen, and become higher ranking than you. And what kind of color is that? Same with that white! I mean, whites are lower ranking than greens. I bet that color is too!" She said pointing to the copper.

It seemed as if Kylath was roaring at what Mealnie had said. Kia did not share the egotistic views of Kylath or at least not as much. [shadow=red,left,300]I am a higher ranking then anything you CAN get and I'm not sure if you will even get a dragon![/shadow]Kia looked at Kylath, a bit scared. "Perhaps we should leave-" she said timidly. She was in that type of positing where you twidle your fingers.
ooc|| I thought of the funniest picture from this!

Malenie laughed. "I really don't care what ranking you are. All I care about is getting a dragon." She said, but thought, and did not add, 'And try and get rid of Nike, so I can have my glory.'

((After a little I think it won't only be Nike who she will want to out-shine...)) Kylath flared her nostrils and turned away. Kia took a couple steps back. She looked over at B'kin, wondering what to do.

Malenie glared when the dragon and her rider walked away. She didn't like that girl either! She would have to get rid of that, Kia? and her strange, low ranking dragon.
Nike looked up in a bit of surprise for she heard what Kylath had said. "I think Kia has just met Malenie, and Malenie has found a new enemy." She said looking towards the Canadidate Barracks.

"Oh joy", K'dan said. "Can't we just send this girl back. She is causing to much conflict here", he continued. If it was one thing he hated it was conflict.
G'han nodded in agreement though he was a bit doubtful she would get sent back. Christae didn't send back Miya but then again this girl made Miya seem like a sweet girl.

Kia shuffled into the lower caverns, Kylath stomping behind her. [shadow=red,left,300]That /girl/ should go back home![/shadow]"Kylath..." Kia said, still a bit nervous about her flaring dragon. Kylath grumbled, not paying attention to Kia. [shadow=red,left,300]She shouldn't have even come! Just listen to her, calling me a low ranking dragon! I am a high ranking dragon and she should respect that![/shadow]"Kylath..." Kia mumbled again. The dragon ignored her once more and mumbled some other things in her head but Kia ignored her. "Hello everyone," Kia said timidly to all the people that had gathered here.

Sh'iron shook her head. "Just give her a chance." He said with a sigh. "I never liked the girl, but we have to let her have a chance at Impressing. Really I don't know why she came here so late. I mean, one of our blue riders was at Southern Boll, getting a few fruits, and well Malenie came. He said that Malenie and her father came up and said take her as a Canadidate to which ever Weyr he was sent too." Sh'iron shook his head again.
Nike looked up when Kia and a mad Kylath walked in. "Uhh, so now you know Malenie. And yes, Kylath I agree with you." She said to her friends, and the copper dragon.

Kylath glared at Nike, not angry at the Healer, of course. Kylath was just all around ticked off. She stormed into the corner and curled up. She started with more rude things but kept them to herself. "Shards! I have never seen her like this," Kia said to the people around her, "What are you playing?"

"Looks like there is nothing else to do about it. We simply must trust the weyrleaders decision", G'han said aiming more at K'dan. G'han didn't agree with the weyleader but he wasn't going to go against his judgement.
K'dan sighed, "Sorry Nike it looks like you have to put up with her. Though since it seems I already agreed I will help you get rid of her if you want". The last part he was joking of course trying to make her feel better. Ruanth if that sharp tongued candidate makes fun of you again let me know. Hydrath said as he had awoke when Kia came in and her dragon fuming.

Aureth looked at Hydrath, seeming to be wise. His face held a hint of regalness and he sat up straight. [glow=blue,2,300]I don't think taking her out will really do too much good. Sure, she's being a bit of an idiot but if we 'get' her...[/glow]One eye was half closed in an almost comical way. D'ran looked back at the three dragons with a bit of a smile. "I guess I could help take her out but I wonder what people will think of me if I do," he said quietly.
