T'ran smiled up at Rhia. "Nike isn't fond of Malenie. And Malenie isn't fond of Nike. It's some childhood problem since Southern Boll." He whispered to her. "Don't worry. Nike will kill her soon, so we don't have to worry about this Candidate." F'tan grinned. "Wanna help?" He whispered
Nike smiled when Christae ate. Your welcome Kaith. I would be glad to help you anytime. The Healer replied then turned to see T'ran, and F'tan lean back in their chairs from talking to Rhia. She shook her head then took a gulp of her klah.
Sh'iorn smiled and watched his weyrmate. "Feeling better?" He asked her, grinning.

Rhia chuckled and leaned towards the other riders. "If she is worse than Miya and insulted Christae, sure. I would love to help." Her voice was low and there was a smirk on her face.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Yes. I am feeling much better. I guess it has passed for the moment." She smiled up at him. "You knew I was sick didn't you? Or did Kaith tell you?"
D'ran was silently watching as the two pregnant women came in, one left, and several other things happened. "Are we going to play," he asked. Aureth looked to Ruanth and held his head up, streaching. [glow=blue,2,300]Want to go watch them?[/glow] The dragon looked carefully at the White. [glow=blue,2,300]I'm sorry you're small. I don't think it matters but it seems others do. Sometimes I wish I was small just so I could try and feel how you feel when they insult you. I only wish I could stop them but how much can I do?[/glow]D'ran looked in a suprised way at his dragon's short speech. He spoke it in truth and D'ran knew the dragon really felt this way. ooc|| I had quite a bit too read
Ooc||I did too xD
Akki crossed her legs as she listened intently.She had only met the girl for a moment, but already she could see that this girl was going no picnic. She sighed before turning to T'ran and said "What colour is Kalaryth?". Now she was learning even more things about the riders she did not know. "Are you all aware that you are having a morbid conversation about killing some girl?...Actually I want to join in." She said as she debated whether or not she would have a sweet roll or not, before deciding she wouldn't. Sargon flew into the room, cherping like he was insane, which he probably was. Akki wouldn't deny it if someone asked if he was. He landed on her shoulder, wrapping his tail around her neck before cherping quizzically, no doubt curious of the fact there was a new brown flitt.
"Looks like D'ran is ready to lose Nike. Well then let's get the game started shall we", he said with a grin. "Rhia I would like it if you would have atleast let me know you were coming down here and I was busy this morning. I am sorry but I didn't want to wake you just to tell you goodbye", he said to her.
Sorry? There is nothing to be sorry about. There is nothing wrong with being small. That just means that we will be faster and more agile than the other dragons. Power and size isn't everything. The dragon seemed a bit ticked. HE was tired of all the small cracks and would take things a bit too serious sometimes. Surely the blue wasn't poking fun at them but Hydrath was just too annoyed at the moment to realize that. ~Hydrath calm down. What is your problem? You seem to be more on edge about your size today~, he asked. Some riders came by when you and G'han were training and kept making fun of me. You two were too busy to notice. ~Why didn't you tell me anything?~, he asked. Because I didn't want to bother your training, I know how important it is to you. You especially want to lose your shape to........ ~Hydrath hush now. You better not complete that sentence~, he said to his dragon.
Aureth was a little taken back by Hydrath's words. He curled up and placed his head on his for arms, resting. ~Are you ok?~ [glow=blue,2,300]I'm fine![/glow] ~You were so calm before, what happened?~ [glow=blue,2,300]Nothing-[/glow] The dragon trailed off and D'ran dropped the subject, looking at his cards.
((You think you guys had to read a lot? I had to read all the way from the first post.))
Miya had been hiding near the doorway from the beginning of Melanie's visit. She almost lai\ughed aloud as Christae came back enraged after visiting the new candidate. ~Worse then me? Oh no. Come on Reinath we must check this out.~ She said with an evil grin on her face. She slipped out of the caverns and made her way to the candidate's barracks, the queen on her heels. She walked into the doorway. "Hello." she said, with her normal plain and emotionless voice. "I suppose you are Melanie, Nike's foster sister?" she asked. Reinath snorted at the candidate, not satisfied with the girl. She is the cruel forster sister? Reinath asked Miya with disbeleif.
Christae and Rhia fell silent just watching the game. Christae picked every once in a while at a sweet roll.
Nike smiled at her friends. "Yes, let us play!" She said and started slamming down her cards, F'tan and T'ran following. Ruanth smiled at Aureth and nuzzled him with her nose. That made me feel better. Thank you. she said simply before curling up. And thank you Hydrath. Yes we will be faster in flight. "To do what, K'dan?" Nike asked her friend once she heard Hydrath's comment.
T'ran grinned at Akki. "I got a green. She's wonderful." He said. His green was sleeping, like she normally did, in the nice warm sun.
F'tan didn't speak and just played. He had to win! He had to beat Nike!
Sh'iron just sat there and smiled at his friends.
Malenie looked up when Miya came in. "Yes, but I hate the name Nike." She spit the name out like she normally did. "Who are you? And what do you want?" She sneered as she sat down on her cot, her normally bright eyes were dark.
"A green? How wonderful!"She exclaimed before whacking herself on the head and chirped merrily, "I forgot to introduce myself!I'm Akki, rider of blue Ebbeth". With that said she stuck out her hand and grinned a crooked smile. [glow=blue,2,300]You called?[/glow]Ebbeth mumbled, his words slurred from the sleep he was called from. I was just talking about you She replied. [glow=blue,2,300]Good things I hope[/glow]
"Um...........to be in.........better shape", he stuttered out. He quickly looked away from Nike and focused on the game.
G'han looked at what he had. He gave a smirk and waited.
B’kin was headed to the Lower Caverns Ronoth following as always when he saw Miya enter the Candidate’s Barracks. ~That’s odd, Miya isn’t a candidate anymore why would she go in there?~ ~I don’t know let’s find out though.~ Ronoth said as he started towards the Barracks with B’kin following him this time. As he got closer the weyrling could hear two girls speaking, one he recognized as Miya’s, even though he hadn’t heard her speak much. He didn’t know whom the other voice belonged to; maybe some candidate had arrived? Ronoth stuck his wedge shaped head in the door to see who else was in there. “No Ronoth!” B’kin hissed trying to be quiet.
-~-~-~-~-~-~-~ R’dan entered the Lower Caverns with a yawn. He was having the now daily argument with Jesseth. ~She’s there why don’t you tell her?~ ~Because I don’t need to tell her. I’m fine, Jesseth.~ ~You’re not fine, you’re tired, you’re trying to do too much. ~Look Jesseth, the Weyrwoman has enough to worry about now, she’s pregnant, she’s training Miya to be Junior Weyrwoman, plus she has other Weyrwoman duties. I can handle the duties I have.~ Jesseth didn’t respond but R’dan knew it wasn’t the end of their conversation. The brownrider grabbed a cup of klah and sat down to watch the others play dragonpoker. He still didn’t know how to play.
Kia had finally finished oiling Kylath and streached out her arms. The Copper wasn't that big yet but she kept getting bigger and Tokagae had kept Kia up the whole night. Kia was walking to the Lower Caverns to get a snack, Kylath at her heels. She heard a familiar voice near the Candidate's Barracks and silently walked over. She first heard the familiar voice of Miya, then a new voice, and finally another familiar voice; this time it was B'kin's. She and Kylath stood silently behind him and Kylath saw Ronoth shuffle fore ward. She followed suit and Kia struggled to hold on to the dragon by a neck ridge. Kylath and Ronoth were around the same size and both were hard to keep hold of.
Aureth slowly picked himself up and shifted closer to Ruanth, seeing she wasn't mad at him. He kept a little away from Hydrath in case the dragon once again snapped at him. [glow=blue,2,300]Sorry-[/glow]D'ran saw G'han smile slightly but made sure to make no change in his face. He knew it was best to keep a straight face. The person he learned from was really very good and won amoung the Crafters in his area but had never gone against the Weyrlings and Riders, though he would be bound to win a couple times. The man had been to many places. D'ran had picked up the game quickly and was really very good.
No I am sorry. I shouldn't have snapped at you. It's just I have had enough of the small size jokes I can stand today. Those riders wouldn't shut up. ~You had better have apologized that was rude of you, even if you were upset~, he said to the dragon. K'dan scooted a bit closer inward and towards Nike to get a better look at everyone and see the expression on their face. He saw G'han give a smile and he thought to himself, he makes it so obvious. Then he thought to himself, normally G'han wouldn't be the type to do that. It was sloppy work on his part, something was up.
Aureth smiled at Hydrath. [glow=blue,2,300]Well they don't deserve dragons. Let's talk of other things.[/glow]D'ran looked down at his dragon. ~Well that was specific.~ The Weyrling, of course, was being sarcastic. Aureth glared at D'ran and then looked back at the other two dragons.
"Well I am Miya, and this is my queen Reinath." Miya said with a bit of pride, and raised her head up to make herself seem taller. "I should be the Jr. Weyrwoman but I we are constantly told we have to graduate weyrling lessons first and that we can't boss anyone around yet, it really stinks and it truly isn't fair." she said unhappily. Ronoth and Kylath are here with their owners. Why are they trying to sneak up on US? Reinath asked emphasizing the word 'us'. Miya turned around angrily to see Ronoth sticking his head through the door. "B'kin what are you and Ronoth doing here?! And Kia and Kylath wherever you are why are you sneaking up?!" She shouted at the two weyrling with rage filling her voice.
Nira walked into the lower caverns with a smile on her face. "How are the two mothers-to-be doing?" she asked happily, grabbing a meatroll. She took a bite as she sat down at the table to watch everyone play dragonpoker, though she didn't join in. "Who is winning, Nike of Sh'iron? Or is someone actually beating the two of them?" she laughed lightly as she took another bite out of the meatroll.
"Aw Nira doubts anyone else will win. It looks like she doesn't have much confidence in her friends", G'han said jokingly. He looked back down at his hand, he wasn't going to give away what he had, even though he smiled but a smile is a smile it didn't mean anything.
Nike smiled. "Oh, Sh'iron isn't playing. But I'm doing well." She said smiling at her friend. She did have a good hand. But still not the best. She could win. Ruanth nodded and shifed a bit, closer to Aureth too. She liked him.
T'ran's eyes widened. "You have a blue?" He asked Akki. Kalaryth woke and yawned. Ebbeth is nice. I like him. She said before streaching out.
F'tan kept his face straight and started looking around at everyone else. Hmm, who had a good, or bad hand?
Malenie cocked her head at Miya. "Well that's good for you, isn't it?" She said simply. "But I really don't care. Why are you here anyways?" The Candidate glared as the bronze dragon snuck his nose into her room. So a bronze rider was near? Oh and another? She had to be a green rider. Nakum flew up to her shoulder and glared at the girl and her gold dragon.
"Yeah, big ugly brute."Akki said with a wink as Ebbeth voiced his protests. [glow=blue,2,300]So much for you saying good things about me[/glow]He grumbled. Oh hush Ebbeth, I'm joking She assured him. She stretched her arms and asked "Why did your eyes widen? What's so amazing? Did someone explode?". She looked around and spotted R'dan and said "Hello R'dan. You look tired, did you explode perhaps?".
((Kia... a green rider! I think not!))
Kia allowed Kylath to walk towards Ronoth but she didn't go far enough for Malenie to see her. Kia, though, actually entered the barrack. "No use staying hidden," she said matter-of-factly to B'kin. "Hello I am Kia," she said. Sometimes she forgot to introduce the Copper but she decided the Copper could introduce herself since she still fit in the barracks. Kylath had been naggy about introducing herself since the feast after she hatched.
