Akki sat beside Kia and said simply "Oh Kia, you can not blame them. I mean they are guys, be glad that they even remembered who you are.". She settled down on the seat before continuing, "Should I be mocking of our new brothers Kia?". Her last sentence was punctuated by a series of giggles before she contained herself but not before elbowing Kia lightly. She looked down at her klah and had some, glad that many people showed of for Kias birthingday, after all her friend deserved a large birthingday.

Kia laughed a bit as well and her next sentence was stiffled with laughter.
"Well they... are our... brothers and that's what... siblings do," she said and finally stopped giggling.
She took a bit of food and gave it to tokagae who was chirping loudly before wrapping his tail tightly around Kia's neck.
"Not another contest from you two," Kia said to the flitts.
Kylath sat between Akki and kia and looked at her bonded.

The dragon nodded.

"So true, so true"She sighed before looking at Kylath and said "Good morning Kylath, how are you today?". Sargon cherped loudly at Tokagae before snatching some sweet roll from Akki's hand, and chewed on it happily. "What is the sigh for Kia? It is your birthingday, you should not be sighing!"She exclaimed, whacking the talbe lightly with her hand, just hard enough to make a noise from the impact.

"It is just this clumsy Copper hide over here," she said with a grin.
Tokagae chirped in Kia's ear and she willingly gave him some sweet roll.
Kia smiled, waiting for R'dan and B'kin to sit.

She clucked her tongue and said "Aw Kylath, are you making trouble on your mines birthingday?". She sipped her klah before starting to cough, it was harder to swallow when your neck had a tail wrapped around it then she thought. "Sargon loosen up a bit please."She asked as he grudingly loosened his hold.

K'dan took a seat next to Nike and Hydrath curled next to Ruanth. Hello clutch sister and clutch brother. I trust you and your mines are doing well today? The dragon seemed to be in a good mood today. Today he hadn't heard anything about his size. He would hope it would stay that way. "Hello Nike", K'dan said as he took his seat.
G'han came in and went over to Kia. "I hear today is your birthday. Happy birthday", he said to her. He handed her a bunch of marks. "From Rhia and myself. When we heard it was your birthday we put some aside to save for you", he said. Happy birthday Kia. Gerenanth voice sounded in her head.

Tokagae cjirped triumphantly and continued to chew hiw roll.
Kia smiled at Kylathw who was now looking at the floor.
~She was kiddin, you know?~
Kylath slowly exhaled and continued to rest.
~We'll go oil you right after this.~
Kia smiled when she got the marks and also put them in the box so they did not get lost.

She too noticed Kylath and immediatly hurried to say "Oh Kylath, I am just jesting you know.". Now she felt bad for making the copper feel guilty. "Do you need help oiling her Kia?"She asked, assuming that was what Kylath wanted/ needed.

"Kylath isn't too big but it would go faster that way so sure," Kia said simply.
Kylath looked up at Akki.
It was obvious that she wasn't guilty or mad anymore.
Kia smiled at her little dragon and continued to stuff her face with food.

She smiled at her friend before flicking a small piece of sweet roll at Kia, causing Sargon to cherp madly, making it quite clear he wanted the piece of sweet roll. "Whoops, sorry Sargon. Here."She said as she handed a bit more to the green flitt who cherped joyously.

Christae watched the proceedings with a smile. After a while she clapped her hands and a couple of drudges entered carrying a rather large package wrapped in oilcloth.
"Kia, this is from the Weyr. We all figured that you will soon need this stuff. Come open this."

R’dan sat on the other side of Kia after he had filled his plate. He heard Akki’s comment about them possibly not remembering who Kia was. The brownrider leaned back so he could see Akki around Kia. “Hey, I wouldn’t forget who Kia is,” he said before adding, “…Or you Akki.” He sat up and was just about to start eating when the drudges entered carrying Kia’s present.

B’kin sat next to Akki. Ronoth lay down behind his seat and looked over at Kylath, ~Hope your mine has a nice birthingday.~ The bronze watched the copper, intrigued by her hide color.
~Ronoth stop staring at her hide, you see her everyday.~
The bronze dragon chose to ignore B’kin’s request. The weyrling began to eat but stopped when Kia’s gift was brought in. He waited for her to open the gift wondering what was inside.

Kia moved some things from in front of her and as she removed a sweet roll she was sure to flick a piece at Akki.
The gift was placed before her and ge gently unwrapped it but did so quickly.
She truely wondered what was inside.
Perhaps something about riding on her dragon because Christae had said she would soon need it.
Her mind wandered to how it would be training with P'ren.

Nike smiled as K'dan and D'ran sat down beside her. THe young woman grinned as the birthday girl sat across from her.
Ruanth lifted her head to watch the bronze and copper.
Their hides were shinny. Well the silver in her's made her more matilac than that other white, Ruth.
The Healer took a meatroll and gave small chunkc to her firelizards who were perched on her shoulders.
Nike smiled when Kia's gift came out. That reminded her to see about her own riding gear. She would need more,
but when? Ruanth wasn't as big as the other dragons. She never would be. So what shall I do?

"Of course you wouldn't R'dan, you'd remember after someone told you five times."She taunted as she stuck out her tongue at him and said "Anyways, nice of you to finally join us.". She watched the drudges bring out the large gift and smile, as Kia shuffled stuff around in order to make room but during the moving of everything Akki was flicked with some sweet roll. "Hey!"She said as it bounced off her forehead and glared at Kia, "That wasn't nice.".

"You're my sister now. Nobody said I had to be nice," Kia said with a shrug and a smiled.
She looked over to R'dan and added, "Oh, and if you are to forget your own sister you can expect to get a not-so-pleasent reminder."
She gave a broad grin and began to unwrap the gift, taking care to throw the wrapping towards those sitting next to her.

The wrapped gift was a set of riding straps. "Kylath will have to grow into them but they can be adjusted to fit her if she gets bigger." Inside was also a riding helmet and jacket. "Rhia and G'han said you will just have to get some boots."

"There you go Kia, saves you some marks."Akki said laughing as she stuck her tongue out at B'kin and said, "I wouldn't laugh B'kin, you also probably forgot Kias name".
