T'ran, Nike, F'tan and their dragons were all lounged out on the shore of the lake. Kalaryth, Ruanth, and Viraenth were lounged out, sleeping in the sun. All three shinning in great health.
It had been around, what? three months since Kaith's first clucth. All the Weyrlings had learned about dragon health, and firestone. So now they were working on Ground Drills. Nike of course, was doing the best for she had went through these already. Ruanth seemed like she hadn't grown, but really she had grown a foot. The others were are 6 to 12 feet long, while Ruanth was around three.
Today was one of the rare days that the Weyr could rest, and these three had to take advantage of it. Nike layed in the center of her friends. F'tan on her right with T'ran on her left. Zim and Crystal were streached out at Nike's feet. Same with T'ran's green, Sorka.
"So, when do you think Kaith will fly again?" F'tan asked, grinning with his eyes closed.
Nike shrughed. "I don't know. Why don't you ask her." She said smiling.
F'tan glared at her. "Mabey I will."
Nike sat up to look down at her bronzerider friend, but a shinning Kalaryth caught her eye. The green wasn't shinning with good health, or with a fresh oilling, no she was going to fly. "Uhh, T'ran?"
"What?" THe green rider asked sitting up. He started dead at his dragon. "NO! I was watching her! I was watching her so closely!" He said before putting his head in his hands.
"T'ran. She was out in the sun all day. Don't worry. It will be fine." Nike said, soothingly.
Kalaryth was streaching in a way that she had never done before. Viraenth had his eyes set on her. T'ran looked up as he saw his green streach out her long neck, soon she would be awake.
Nike smiled at her friend. "You can't stop it." She said standing up. Ruanth had run over to Nike and was standing close to her. Soon the green was awake, and had the urge to fly away. Far away from this place. From these wingless beings. From these males who thought they could catch her! She let out a great bellow, then shot into the air, soon followed by Viraenth. F'tan was staring at his dragon closely.

Mneith heard the green's bellow and launched himself from the fireheights. He flew swiftly, catching up with the beautiful green and the other dragon chasing her.
He ignored his riders shouts of dismay. Rha ran out of her weyr, trowing things at her dragon to no avail. She ordered him to come back but when he didn't listen she ran down the stairs of her weyr.
"Oh no, oh no, oh no!" She stood in the middle of the bowl. "Mneith come back!" Her heart plumeted. She was pregnant. Rough handling could make her lose the baby but if Mneith caught the green there was nothing she could do about it!

Nike looked when she heard Rhia's shouthings. She jogged over to her friend. "He won't catch her. Don't worry." She said soothingly. T'ran was shaking, not used to a flight before. Kalaryth taunted her chasers. A bronze and a brown? Well they would never catch her!
The green dodged through the clouds, spirling, twisting, and turning. They couldn't catch her if they couldn't keep up with her.

"I really hope he doesnt." Rhia said, her voice full of worry."
Mneith twisted through the clouds after the green.

Ebbeth bellowed, the loud noise ringing through Akkis head. She turned her head, just in time to see a great blue blur flying into the sky, mixing himself with colours of bronze and brown. She watched with an open mouth before moaning loudly, spotting a green. He was chasing the green. The thought hit her as she cursed for her protest, her eyes staying on the great blue.
She looked at the green once more and immediatly knew it was Kalaryth. She too ran out to the bowl, realizing that her demands for Ebbeth to come back were completely pointless. He was ignoring her, caught up in his own thoughts.
Ebbeth caught up with the others quickly, for there wasn't a large time difference to when they all started to chase the green. He barely noticed the bronze and brown, his eyes locked on to the green who was now twisting and swirling her body as she reached the clouds.

T'rin heard dragons bellowing as he was snatching a piece of roast wherry from the cutting flat of a drudge. The drudge caught him as he paused to listen and chased him out of the kitchens. He darted just out of reach of the swatting hand and made his way to the outside of Dark Moon.
There he saw a green, a blue, a brown, and a bronze already climbing high into the skies. He was puzzled for a moment before realizing that the green was rising to mate, and the three males were chasing her. He felt grateful that Amparath was too young to fly, and that doubled when he realized that the rider of the green was male, and very stressed out. So far only one of the riders of the pursuing dragons was male, but T'rin did see Rhia's brown Mneith; the brownrider was pregnant, and with what came in the flight.... the weyrling didn't want to think about what might happen to the baby.
Instead, he settled to watch the excitement.

((-sings- Here I come- as a npc Blue!))
H'ton was fiddling with a little doll he was making for his little sister. He had gotten permission to go visit briefly; he hadn't been there in a while. The Rider turned to get his dragon's opinion. Just as H'ton began to speak, Pityath, a small Blue dragon, raised into the sky. His powerful wings pumped to get him up. This dragon was especially bad at getting to flying when not jumping off something. H'ton looked quizzically at Pityath until he saw several other dragons who were chasing a Green. He ran to where he saw other Riders and noticed that the Green's Rider was a man. H'ton felt a little dizzy at first but then tried to call the dragon back. Pityath did not listen and started chasing Kalaryth, a bit behind the others.

Kalaryth looked behind her shoulder to see a bronze, a brown, and two blues. Hmm, none of them would catch her! She turned back around and folded her wings tight against her body. The green dove down towards the ground. The wind rushing past her in a way that had never happened to her. Soon the ground was close. It was getting closer. Oh she should fan out her wings. THe large green opened them up and stoped. Then she pumped them and rose into the air.

Pityath brought his wings close and dove through the sky. He cut through the wind with ease and fanned his wings a bit before Kalaryth. He was a bit closer now. The dragon rose into the air as well.

As Kalaryth rose, she taunted her chasers. You shall never catch me! No matter how hard you try! she told them T'ran sank to his knees, shaking, and his face in his hands. Nike kneeled beside him, and stroked his hair, saying soothing things to him.

D'ran and Aureth came quickly to where Nike, T'ran, and all the other Riders were together. "What's happening," he asked. Aureth came in after and looked at the sulking boy.

The dragon only grinned at Kalaryth's taunts.

Mneith grumbled when two blues joined in the chase.

Nike looked up when D'ran spoke. "T'ran's Kalaryth is mating. He's not ready for it." She said softly. Ruanth was suddenly at Aureth's side. It is odd, and beautiful. Isn't it? she asked the blue as she watched the green turn sharpely to the left.

The Aureth felt an odd feeling but shook it off. [glow=blue,2,300]It is quite beautiful.[/glow]The dragon grinned as a blur of color rushed by. [glow=blue,2,300]I can't wait till I can fly.[/glow] D'ran went over to T'ran with worry in his eyes. "I hope it's a dragon with a girl for a Rider who catches that Green," he said but then added, "But that's not what's important right now."

Ebbeth watched as the green headed towards the ground quickly. He quickly declined, folding his wings tightly against his body watching the green, not even noticing the ground that was rushing up to meet him. Kalaryth quickly rose up again and Ebbeth followed, barely avoiding smashing into the ground. [glow=blue,2,300]Your taunts will be your downfall[/glow]Ebbeth chuckled as he pumped his wings to go up higher and faster, trying to reach the green.
Akki watched, visible fear clear on her face as she watched Ebbeth swoop and twist in order to get closer to the green. She groaned again and sat on the ground, her legs feeling wobbly and weak at the moment but most of all they seemed useless, unable to hold her up as she watched her blue intently.

Ha! Kalaryth said simply before twisting around and dove into the group of males. It was daring, but she could do it. She could dodge them all.
T'ran looked up when D'ran spoke, he shook his head then looked to his Kalaryth. Nike sighed and patted her friend's head. "He will be fine as soon as this is over." She whispered to her friend. Ruanth nodded. Neither can I. Then I will be able to prove to all those riders and dragons that I may be small, but I am the fastest dragon out there! That no dragon could dive faster, turn faster, dodge quicker, than me! She said proudly.

Ebbeth twisted his body away from the green who hurtled herself into the pack of males, stunned. He wasn't expecting that, it was too daring but he quickly shook off the thought that Kalaryth wouldn't do that, after all she just did. He made a graceful arch with his body before turning to he would fly towards the ground, after the green. The chase had just taken a new turn.

Kalaryth looekd behind her shoulder again. Hmm, Ebbeth was in the lead? Well, that won't be for long. She stoped dead, hovered for a few moments, then shot back through the males. The green was tiring, quickly, and this would probablly be her last move.
((I wanted a short flight!))

Pityath dove after the Green a bit after Ebbeth. He was second-to-closest to Kalaryth.

[glow=blue,2,300]Yes, you will be the best... except for me of course.[/glow]At the end of his sentence he punctuated it with sarcasm. D'ran looked worriedly at T'ran and then at the flying dragons.

Ebbeth shook his head side to side, trying to clear as the green darted back up again. He hoped she wouldn't keep it up for long, it was starting to get confusing with all the colours flashing while he tried to watch the green slink in and out of things. He quickly twisted once more, and spiralled upwards hoping that he would be in the lead still as he heaved his wings.
