Thread is a terrible thing. When you see the lifeless string hungrily falling from the red star, it send a shiver down one's spine. Siarath replied, her voice sounding wise. I think it may be a bit foolish to not be afreaid of anything. I must admit that even I am afraid of something. Two things actually. Thread, and loosing my mine. Siarath said unhappily looking over to her mine.
~I heard that.~ Nira butted in. ~I knew you were afraid of something.~
Siarath snorted unahappy thather mine had heard her. The boy will do. Siarath saids ot aht only Nira could hear her dicision.
Nira looked at the boy that Siarath had chosen. "What is your name?" She asked, not tellin the boy that he had been chosen, not yet.

My name is Zinir and I'm ready to go, thank you for choosing me, I'm sure I will do a great job for your weyr." said Zinir. Zinir got his sacks and waited for the searchrider.

Adrian was so delited to see herself getting picked. She went back and hugged all of her family and waited on the searchrider to give her instructions.

Nira smiled. "That was fast."She looked at Zinir. ~Is there anyone else here that should be a candidate?~ Nira asked.
Siaraths eyes moved up and down the many who wanted to be chosen and finally repled.No that is everyone.
"Ok, climb on Zinir." SHe instructed the boy. She was about the same age as the candidate, and not as tall, but like Siarath this job gave her a feeling of superiority. " S'ron, you can take that girl your dragojn has chosen and I will take Zinir." She placed her riding helmet on and climbed onto Siarath's back. "Let's go." Nira said instructing hte boy to get onto Siarath's back.

I did not say you were chosen!, Tarath boomed.
S'ran smiled gently to the girl. "He is not sure yet, you need to wait," he whispered, making sure his dragon did not hear.

Zinir climbed onto Nira's dragon. He would soon be one step closer to his dream. Zinir waved back to his foster family before they left.

"S'ran, I will take the boy back to the weyr, when you are done you can take any candidates Tarath chooses. Hold on" Nira warned Zinir. Siarath pumped her wings and seemed to barely move off of the ground before she shot into the air. Siarath glided for a moment before dissapeaing into the cold between.

Zininr held onto the dragon as they went between.
((Its' alright, I just need to get to the touching!))
Another candidate arouse from the stage. This was Zephyr.

A few minutes later, Siarath came back from between and once again landed on the ground. ~I thought you said there were no more worthy candidates?~ Nira asked wondering why they had returned.
Well this is nothing better to do today. Maybe some other people came late.
Siarath stated as she landed.
Nira once again dismounted. ~What about that one?~ She asked the large green
Siarath turned her head to see a new potential candidate. Hello. She said to Zephyr. What is your name?

"Why?" Siarath asked curiously, her many faceted eyes looking into his.
Nira looked around noticing the many boys and girls hoping ot be accepted as candidates.

Why, why you ask, because its my destiny, I can see it in my future. I'm so brave and don't have a real good life here, so what am I suspossed to be worth for? Nothing or maybe just dragonriding. I will show you my full potential if you just would let me give impressing a try.

So you think you can impress? Siarath asked. Fine, then you can have your chance. Siarath stated simply. Niramine this boy can go. His name is Zephyr. She informed her rider.
~OK my dragon.~ She smiled. "Hello Zephyr. My name is Nira and this is Siarath." She introduced. "She has informed me that you wish to be a candidate, and I will tell you that you now are one." She smiled waiting for the boys response.

Zephyr was very happy and he climbed onto the dragon and soared off. ((Sorry I have to post at the hatching))
