Breckin glanced at Tayrin waiting for his answer it wasn't right to listen in to other people's conversations but he had been wondering pretty much the same thing. His attention was drawn away when he heard the weyr woman say something about a queen egg. He soon saw the egg that was on top of a large mound of sand, which had to be the one she was talking about. Breckin still awaited Tayrin’s answer but kept his eyes on the eggs.

"Oh just wondering. Besides you seem a bit distracted when a certain girl is around", he said with a grin. Fortunantly he was facing the eggs and not Tayrin so he couldn't see the grin on his face. He waited for his answer as he looked over to the clutching Kaith and her eggs.

Sh'iron grinned as Kaith layed the queen egg. Yes this would be great. Two queens and all. THe Weyrleader turned to Christae, and hugged her. THis would be great! He didn't really noticed the small gray egg. All queens had aleast one small defecited egg in their lifetime. It would be good to get rid of that sooner than later.

NIke forced herself to smiled as the queen egg was laied, but her eyes were on the small gray egg.
How could Kaith put an egg off away from all the others? All eggs and dragons should be equal!
Size should never matter. The Healer glared at the queen for a few moments, before looking back at the small egg.

Miya felt odd. She turned to notice Tayrin watching her. She gave the boy a strange look, she really wasn't the romantic type. Then she saw the golden egg be lain. Unlike the others she didn't take much interest in the special egg ofr it wasn't one she wanted. She wanted to sit on a firebreathing beast, not haul around a flamethrower at the bottom of the wings. That just didn't show power or strength. She then saw the small egg be pushed aside. Again Miya didn't really care, for it wasn't an egg she wanted to impress.

Nira watched the eggs closely.
Look at the candidates. Siarath said from atop her ledge.
Confused, Nira turned to see the candidates all standing together. But one boy wasn't looking at the eggs, but at a girl. In fact it was the rude one, known as Miya. She almost burst out laughing when Miya seemed to take no interest in the boy. But it seemed like the girl to not be affectionate, instead tough and very hard for a male to catch. She smiled as the word 'catch' crossed her mind, almost making the girl laugh for the second time. It was if the candidates were dragons.
A queen egg! Siarath bugled.
Nira's eyes turned from the candidates to the eggs. A marvelous golden egg had been lain. She also noticed a smaller one be pushed aside, though didn't think much of it. Though she did wish the the queen would take pride in all her eggs, she knew that there was nothing she could do and that it was only natural.

Mneith bugled his congratulations to his golden Queen. Rhia slipped her arm around her weyrmate's waist. "A Queen egg! Congratulations Kaith and Christae!" The brownrider cried.
Christae enthusiastically hugged her weyrmate, her eyes dancing with joy. Her Queen had laid a queen egg. She watched as Kaith paused in her laying to settle her eggs. She shifted each one, so that they were just so. Once they were shifted to her satisfaction she paused to lay another egg. She left it to brood over the large golden egg.

G'han gave a smile when Rhia wrapped her arms around him. He looked out to Kaith, "She seems to be putting off the other eggs just to focus on the queen egg. I wonder who will get that one". He looked over to the candidates. Was it Kia, Miya perhaps, or could Nike reimpress and impress a gold. He eliminated any of the guys impressing the gold, that would be pretty much impossible. He looked over to the candidates wondering which dragon they would impress. He focused his attention back on Kaith and her eggs.

Kadan looked over to Rhia and G'han and smiled. He looked over to Tayrin and Miya. If those two ever got together by chance he didn't think they would be anything like Rhia and G'han, not with Miya's attitude. She didn't seem the type to be romantic and have someone sweep her off her feet. He chuckled at the thought.

Kia frowned as the eggs after the queen were simply forgotten. She knew how it felt to be unimportant. Kia wondered what lay inside the small egg that had quickly been pushed aside. She couldn't help but be mad at Kaith and dislike the golden egg, or at least for a few seconds. Soon she realized she could not be mad at this; Queen's were improtant.

Nike watched the little gray egg the most. The Healer was thinking what would be inside the small, barely a meter long egg.
It was so small. Mabey it wouldn't hatch. Well it should!

Kaith glowered at the people in the stands. She would not hurt them, only because her bonded had told them they did not mean harm to her eggs.
"It looks like the weyr is finally picking up. We struggled for so long." Christae's voice held hope as she spoke to her weyrmate.

Kia looked at kaith, wondering if the dragon was done clutching. She counted the eggs, there were six, but she had rushed and only glanced. She had a feeling she counted wrong.

Kaith left the gold egg. Another egg dropped gently to the sands. The gold would clutch an egg sporadically for the rest of the day.

Tayrin sighed and forced down a blush, with extreme difficulty. He should have known that nothing stayed secret in a weyr. However, he couldn't help but grin at Miya's disgusted look. He would, somehow, catch her interest, and for now, it was only as a friend.
"I haven't any clue of whom you are speaking," he said formally and he hoped it was obvious he was poking fun at his fellow candidate, Kadan. Unfortunately, he thought, these people aren't stupid, not about these things.
Focusing his attention determinedly on the eggs again, he noticed that there were two more than when he had last checked. The one was obviously a queen egg, ad he laughed inwardly at the thought of Miya Impressing a gold. It wasn't likely to happen. Not from what he'd seen of her.

Kadan grinned, "You expect me to believe that". He looked over to him seeing the expression on his face and laughed. "You would hide it well if you weren't so obvious as before and if I were more gullible", he said.

Breckin watched as the golden dragon clutched a few more eggs on the ground one of them, a tiny runt of an egg. He completely forgot about listening in to Tayrin’s and Kadan’s conversation as he saw the queen pus aside the gray egg. Why would she do that? The boy shook his head the gold dragon must have her reasons he thought.

Miya moved uncomfortably as Tayrin continued to look at her. Finally she gave in... "What?" she asked the boy, in an annoyed manner. Her dark brown eyes looked straight at the boy as she waited for an answer. Though she was pretty sure she knew what it was.

Kadan couldn't help but laugh, as hard as he tried to hold it in. "Looks like you have some explaining to do. So are you going to tell her?", he asked with a grin on his face. If he did tell her how would Miya react, he would love to see her reaction.

G'han looked over to Kadan and Tayrin. "It looks like Kadan has finally made another friend", he said to his weyrmate. He and Kadan were good friends since the day he showed him around and they played around at the lake, he smiled that his new friend was doing well in the weyr and finally starting to fit in. He looked down at his weyrmate, "You are tired. We will leave soon so you can rest. I would do good to rest too". He watched as Kaith continued to clutch. He knew Rhia wouldn't want to leave until she was finished but he knew if it took too long she would wind up falling asleep on him.
