[Dragon]

Hey, I didnt need rinsing. I needed drying. Gerenanth got out of the water, stood by Mneih and shook himself off. He then laid right back where he was.

G'han woke for a minute and looked at Rhia and smiled. He never felt so comfortable around someone as he did around her. He thought of how life was before he met her. He was a loner and didn't care much to talk to people but after that search rider found him his life was changed. He held Rhia's hand and fell back asleep He didn't feel alone anymore.

[Tenma]

Sorry bronzerider. Nira siad as she removed her tail from his leg. She got splashed by Mneith. Ahh She said annoyed and moved a bit farther from the water so she could dry.

(Kia, there is a firlizard rising on the other board. I thinnk you should put Tokagae in it. Eventhough he is a brown and probably won't mate with the queen it is more realistic (or book related) if you put him in.)

(I don't think Nira has a tail, you must mean Siarath)

"It's ok, you just suprised me when that tail landed on one of my bruises. Didn't mean to disturb you", G'han said to the green then fell right back to sleep.

Rhia woke with all the talking going on around her. She looked around, suprised that she had fallen asleep. The sun was warm on her face and her clothes had dried quickly. She watched her dragon, a contented smile upon her pretty face. She looked peaceful for the first time in almost two turns.

Mneith snorted. I know you did not need rinsing. That was payback. The brown moved back out into the lake and swam for a while. Since he hadn't been flying as often he didn't want to let his strength ebb due to inactivity. He exercised his large wings and then swam to the bank. He waded out and went to find a warm spot in the sun to lie down in. He spread his wings out to dry. He had been careful to lie down far enough away from the other dragons so that when he spread his wings he did not hit them.

[Dragon]

G'han woke up and looked up at Rhia and said, "Have a good nap? You looked peaceful enough so I didn't want to wake you and fell back asleep myself". He lifted his head up from her lap and sat up next to her. "I hope you didn't mind that I used your lap as a pillow", he said.

Well I will get you back soon enough and just remember I won't always be this small, eventually I should be larger than you.

"I wish I could swim but I guess this is what I get for being so reckless. I'll just have to wait until my ankles aren't swollen. The bruises and scratches I can easily handle, it's the swollen ankles that are the problem. It is hard for me to walk, even with my father's walking stick as a crutch", he said aloud.

He held his father's walking stick in his hand and remembered all the memories with his father. Then he started to remember the fight with the renegades, then remembered the renegades attacking Rhia. He clutched the stick even harder as he remembered that. He laid the stick by his side and thought to himself, " Next time those renegade scum won't get the chance to lay a finger on her or anyone else". I will be there to help you too. ~I know and I wait for the day we fight together. You will be the best fighter out there Gerenanth so don't worry about anything. WIth me as your rider and you as my dragon, nothing can stand in our path~, he said to his dragon. His looked changed, he seemed so much more confident now.

"I hadn't meant to fall asleep myself." She smiled. "That's quite alright, but my legs were starting to fall asleep." When he sat up she shifted her legs with a groan. She yelped at the needle sharp sensation going through her legs. Mneith looked up from where he was lying.

Good, you're up. Now I can go hunt. I will be back to carry you two back. It's almost time for you humans to eat.

"Ok Mneith." She stretched, her supple body taunt. She relaxed again and just soaked in the warmth. She studied G'han's face. He had changed a lot since he had impressed Gerenanth. She wasn't entirely sure she liked some of the change, but the arogance was part of his being a bronzerider.

Mneith rose to launch himself. "Don't get yourself all dirty Mneith. Your hide is finally clean."

[Dragon]

"Oh sorry about that, hope I wasn't too much of a pain, um..... in the legs", he said jokingly. "Are you ok", he replied with worry in his voice when she yelped.

G'han looked at Gerenanth beside him then looked back and noticed Rhia staring at him. "What, something wrong?", he asked. He smiled at Rhia, he enjoyed her company and things just seemed to be better with her around.

"I am fine, my legs just fell asleep." She chuckled at his attempt at a joke. "I was just thinking of how you have changed since you Impressed."

[Dragon]

G'han looked at her puzzled, "Have I made a better or worse change?" He thought to himself, ~I hope not for the worse, I would hate to think she thinks badly of me, especially after what we have been through~. Don't worry I am sure she likes you. ~Gerenanth, that's not what I said~, he hastily replied. Yea but it is what you meant. Admit it you have become very fond of Rhia. ~Whatever~, he brushed the dragons comment away.

"You're becoming more like a bronzerider every day, but its ok." She looked thoughtful and then smiled. She climbed slowly to her feet, trying not to wince at the double pain of limbs long unused and her ribs.

[Dragon]

"Are you ok", G'han asked still sitting down. He rose to his feet but fell back down to his knees. He lifted himself up again and stood next to Rhia. He looked puzzled at her, wondering why she stood up. "So is it a bad thing that I am like a bronzerider, especially seeing as how I am one", he asked

"I'm ok. I just stayed in one position a little too long." She listened to his comment about being a bronzerider and laughed. "That is a crazy bit of logic." She told him.

Mneith killed and ate, careful to be neat so that his bonded wouldn't have to go through the trouble of washing and oiling him again. He hated being a burden on his injured rider but he felt like that, worrying her about his health and well being and her having to clean him. She would never say anything, but the brown knew that it cost his rider a great deal to care for him.

He returned and dipped his bloodied claws in the lake to clean them before walking over to his rider. Ready to go to the dining cavern to eat?


"Are you hungry G'han?" she asked him, unsure if he was ready to eat lunch or not. "Nira I'm going to eat lunch soon and then I'm going to take a nap."

[Dragon]

G'han looked at Rhia and said, "You didn't answer my question. Is it bad that I act like a bronzerider". G"han chill out. I am sure she doesn't think of it as a bad quality. I am very much sure she likes you so stop worrying. ~Gerenanth, shut your mouth this instant. I wouldn't have you run off at the mouth so keep quiet~, he scolded his dragon.

"Sure I will go with you and eat", G'han readily said. He fell back to the ground and sat back where he was finally giving up trying to stay up. "Heh, just let me know when our ride is ready", he said rubbing the back of his neck. He picked up his fathers walking stick and held it in hand, waiting to leave.

Rhia shook her head. "I don't know anymore. Each bronzerider is different. Most are arogant but you aren't as aoragant as some. I guess I'll have to see."

Mneith crouched down and Rhia mounted. It was a bit easier, but she still bit back a yelp of pain. "Our ride is ready."

[Dragon]

G'han looked down, dissapointed with the answer. He liked Rhia more than he would admit and he didn't like the idea of her thinking anything bad about him. He stood to his feet again, this time using the stick to prop him up. He got on Mneith and refused help from anyone. G'han don't let her get to you like that ok. You were happy a minute ago and I want to see you like that. Sometimes I think this brownrider is more trouble than she is worth. ~Gerenanth you will not speak of her like that, I know you worry about me but don't. I feel what I want to~, he said. Ha, you just admitted it. ~Admitted what~, he responded. Don't try and play dumb, you just admitted that you like her. ~Shut up and lets go eat already~, he snapped.

Rhia watched G'han mount, her face worried, but she knew better than to offer to help him. He would only reject her help. When he was settled she flashed him a pretty smile before turning around. "I don't have riding straps on him right now so hold on to my waist."

When he was settled she raised her hand. " Onward." She told her dragon jauntily. The brown launched himself and landed near the dining cavern. Rhia sat on her dragon for a while, happy to be on his back.

[Dragon]

G'han put his arms around her waist and allowed his head to rest on her shoulder. He closed his eyes and almost fell asleep. ~Gerenanth try and keep up ok, I want you to try and be as fast as Mneith when he flies. It's excersize and the faster you are on the ground the faster you will be when you fly. I want you prepared for that day and will do my best to excersize you~, he instructed. When they arrived G'han lept off and shouted in pain and fell to the ground. "Heh, forgot I couldnt do that", he said. He got back to his feet and walked with Rhia to eat.

Kia frowned as everyone left to eat. She squeezed the water from her shirt but she stood a bit hunched and downcast. Kia decided to head back to the barrack's and change into a pair of dry clothes. Then she would do her best to find out where to eat. She looked across the lake, searching for Tokagae, he had gone off somewhere.
