"It's good to know you are coming back to us", he said. He looked at the eggs and said to Nike, "If there are any left over I don't suppose I could have one. If it isn't a problem". He wanted to make sure everyone else got one before he got one.

Nike grinned and looked at her paper.
"I put your name down on this, Pick one!" Nike said. "But not these." She pointed to eggs that were taken.

Daran admired the large egg that Nike presumed was bronze. He wanted to hold it but knew Zim would not let him. He watched what everyone else chose.

The second harper walked up to the eggs, looking carefully at each. She looked at an almost completely white one other then two grey specks at the top. "This one is beautiful, can I have it," she asked.

Nike nodded, then scribbled down on her paper.
"It's yours when it hatches. I do advise you all to bring meat when the eggs hatch. I'll tell the dragons of you all,
then tell the Harpers." The Healer said with a grin. The stroked Zim more. The queen was getting adagated, all these people
around her eggs. No wonder why.

Rhia smiled sadly. "I am happy for you Nike but we do expect you back."

Christae sighed in exasperation. "Young lady you have been causing trouble since the minute you arrived in this Weyr. Punishing you with chores does not work. Kia, I appreciate your input but I will handle this myself." She told the girl, not unkindly.
"Miya I wish to speak to you in your room, no one else." The young Weyrwoman was stern.
Nike is going back to the Healer Hall.
She is? That's good. She will have a chance to heal.
That's kind of funny considering that she is going to the healer hall.
Kaith love, please tell the Healer that I wish her the best of luck and that she return to us soon. I will speak to her later and I wish to thank her for the flitt egg.
Ok Christae-mine. The gold relayed the message to the HAD healer.

Kia curtsied slightly to the Weyrwoman and walked back to Nike's Weyr, a bit concerened for Miya. She hoped that the girl could stay. Kia got to the Weyr and sat down. Tokagae flew to Zim once more and chirped happily. He saw the shining golden egg. He went closer, sniffing it a little.

"Thank you, I will take that one", he pointed to a particular egg. He looked to Rhia, "Are you getting one too?" G'han looked at the egg he chose, he started to remember when he impressed wondering what dragon he would get. He looked at the egg wondering what color it would turn out to be.

Rhia smiled and pointed to a heavily colored egg. Hardly any of the pale cream shell could be seen.

Miya looked at Christae worridly but nodded. Once she was in her room she spoke. "I didn't mean to hurt her, I thought she was going to punch me. It wan only self defense." Miya defended herself frightingly, but she knew she had gone over the edge this time.

Rhia shrugged. "In other words Nike, we will all miss you and can't wait until you return. There, that way we don't all have to keep repeating the same things." She smiled to take whatever sting her words might have held.

Nike listened to Kaith and thanked the queen.
Tell your rider no problem about the egg.
The Healer nodded at G'han's choice and scribbled what egg he wanted.
Zim noticed the flitt coming to look at her queen egg. The large firelizard
rose to her hind legs and spread her wings. The queen hissed at the other flitt,
telling him that if he got closer, she would attack.
"Zim!" Nike said glaring at her friend. Well this was her first clutch, and all queens were broody with their eggs.
She'd have to leave it be.

Nira watched the flitt approach. When Zim hissed she felt bad for the flitt but couldn't help laughing. "Is this how all queens act?" she asked when her laughing had seized.

Nike shruged. "I think. I only have a queen firelizard. It would be cool yo have a queen dragon." She said looking at her firelizard as she curled tightly around her queen egg.

Rhia smiled. "She's obviously firercly protective. I've heard that you don't want to mess with a queen dragon with a clutch on the sands so I suppose that queen flitts are the same. Did you write my choice down Nike?"

mild expression on her face.

Sargon cocked his head and cherped, which sounded exactly like an apology before flying back to Akkis shoulder, who was laughing at the now distressed Sargon. "Blame it on yourself love"She said as Sargon cherped slightly miserable.

Nike grinned as Sargon flew up to his bonded's shoulder.
"I love flitts. They're so funny!" She laughed. It was odd to laugh for such a long time, and it felt good.
Her laugh was like her voice, rich and warm. But she couldn't sing for her life.

"They are amusing aren't they? All though they can be bothersome"Akki said, remembering when Sargon wouldn't fall asleep one night and continously woke her up with a cherp or two. She was glad she didn't leave her actual home like she was going to, otherwise Sargon would have never been hers.
