Mourning for a friend...bathtime for distraction

"G'han!!" Rhia cried as the bronzerider hugged her. She had managed to remain dry the entire time she was bathing her dragon besides a few small splashes and now she was soaked.

Christae burst out laughing at Rhia's indignant expression. Mneith and Kaith's eyes whirled faster with amusement.

You needed that Mine.

Rhia glared at her dragon. "I was gonna congratualte you for your performance out there but now I'm not. Congratulations Kia." She stuck her tongue out and G'han and then ran at him, hitting him and pushing him backwards into the lake.

[Miki]

Kia laughed as Rhia pushed G'han in. "Thank-you," she said. She cupped some water in her hands and dumped it over G'han's head. Even if they were flirting, it did not mean she could not play too. She scolded herself for thinking they were flirting, though. Yes, it was true but it was a little rude.

[Akki]

Akki jumped from foot to foot, doing an odd dance it seemed before saying "I'm freezing now!". The breeze quickly swept off the water that was on her, chilling her to the core without stopping. She continued to jump, shaking the green flitt that was trying to rest on her shoulder, and then began to rub her arms hoping to get warmth back into them.

[glow=blue,2,300]A lovely dance you are doing there, will you teach it to me one day?[/glow]Ebbeth asked, making fun of his mine only to recieve a tongue stuck out at him.

[Dragon]

G'han fell backwards into the lake and laughed. He splashed Rhia and Kia as he got up. He looked over to Kadan and said, "Good job but I told you I am not easy". He gave a big smile and said, "You did good nonetheless". He looked over to Akki but dared not comment.

Kadan hung his head when Kia mentioned him falling for G'hans tricks. "I see there is more to him than meets the eye", he said to her. He studied the bronzerider and was amazed, the race didn't seem to slow him down at all. He wasn't out of breath or anything. "Thankyou G'han it seems I underestimated you", he said. Sharan came and perched himself on his shoulder. He was intrigued by all the people around.

[Spirithawk]

Rhia leaned down and splashed him back. "You are rotten!. I can't believe you just got me soaked. It's chilly out here. Do you want me to get sick again?" She mock glared at the bronzerider, her hands on her hips.

Christae laughed at Akki. "Cold?" she asked the bluerider.

[Dragon]

G'han picked Rhia up and went underwater with her. He came back up. "Now you are as wet as me", he said as he carried her back to dry land. He stood with her still in his arms. He looked at her then set her down. He wanted to be more playful but she still had hurt ribs. He stuck his tongue out at her and then shook out his black spikey hair. It went from flattened from the wetness to spikey from drying it out. He slicked it back and looked at Rhia and smiled.

Gerenanth came over to G'han. You let her tie with you didn't you. ~Gerenanth I didn't. I might haven't won, tying was my best option besides she is a tough competitor. The most competition I have had in awhile. I know you are proud of me and I am of you but don't degrade others and underestimate them~, he said to his bronze. He scratched his eyeridges after instructing his dragon.

[nike]

Nike watch them, not laughing. Her mind was still out there.
The Healer didn't look up as the others laughed around, she just got up and walked away.
She needed to be alone.

Nike walked into the empty weyr that once housed her and Tirith. She packed everything up.
Everything that was her's, which wasn't much, then slung the packs over her shoulders.
The Healer walked down the cold stone stairs to the Bowl, then entered the Lower Caverens.

The Headwoman nodded nicely at the former Green Rider.
"I have a good room in the same hall with the other Healers and Harpers." She said kindly and led Nike to a long,
narrow hall. Doors dotted the walls. It was the hallway that held the Weyr's Hapers, Healers, and other Craftspeople.
Nike was led to a door on the left where a simple aparment.

Rhia mock screamed when G'han picked her up. "Put me down you brute!" She didn't kick because she didn't want him to drop her. He was stronger than he looked but she didn't want to chance it. When he set her down she started to protest but then remembered that they were at the lake. She would never admit it to him but she had become very fond of the bronzerider. She watched Nike walk away. She hoped the girl would cheer up soon. It hurt her to see her normally jovial friend in such a depressed state but she couldn't blame the girl. She wouldn't want to live Her eyes became unfocused when Mneith spoke to her.

If you won't tell him I will.

You had better not!

What will you do if I do tell him?

I won't oil you for a week.

You wouldn't do that.

Just please don't. She begged her dragon. She felt Mneith's grudging consent and smiled. Thank you.

You're welcome....but you had better let him know soon. Rhia sighed and her eyes came back into focus. She saw G'han's smile and lowered her eyes. On a whim she rose and walked to the edge of the lake. She walked along with just her feet in the water, away from the others. Mneith let her go, knowing that his rider needed to think. So much had changed. She was not the same girl he had been drawn to from his egg, but he was not the same impish dragon.

[Dragon]

G'han watched as Rhia walked away, she seemed distracted. He looked to see Nike walking away too. ~Gerenanth I can't imagine life without you. I feel so bad for her. I wonder what will happen now that she is without a dragon~, he said to his dragon. I can't imagine life without you either and don't worry I don't plan on leaving you. I am sure she will be ok eventually. His dragon tried to comfort his rider. ~I hope she will be ok. Gerenanth I couldn't have asked for a better dragon~, he said to him.

He glanced back at Rhia, he had strong feelings for her. Tell her how you feel, G'han. ~No. I don't know how she feels about me, we might ruin the relationship we have already~, he said. You are much too cautious. Sure that helps when your in a swimming race or fighting but with this you are going to have to take a risk. ~Not yet, anyway. I will tell her one day though, I hope~, he said as he looked down at his feet. G'han you can't hide your feelings for her forever. I am sure most of the people here, atleast the ones you know, know how u feel or atleast have a basic understanding. The only one its hidden from is the one you shouldn't be hiding it from. G'han looked to his dragon in suprise, for such a young dragon he was getting wiser by the day. ~Gerenanth, sometimes I wonder about you. Maybe you are right but not now anyway~, he said to his bronze.

Kadan looked over at Akki, "It is cold. Are you going to be ok?" He then left to the candidates weyr to change into some dry clothes.

Rhia walked a ways away and sat down. She brought her knees up to her chest and rested her head. The wind chilled her and she shivered slightly.

[Dragon]

Gerenanth looked over to Rhia then to G'han. Tell her now. Now is the perfect chance. G'han nodded and walked over to Rhia. "Can we talk, perhaps somewhere warmer and less crowded", he said to her. That's a good boy. You better tell her.G'han glared at his dragon and waited for her response.

[Spirithawk]

Rhia looked up, confused by his request. "I guess so. Warmer definately sounds like a good idea."

[Dragon]

G'han led Rhia to an empty room and the two sat across from each other. G'han was a bit nervous. "Rhia...........I..................", he started out. He took a deep breath and continued speaking, "Rhia I have become quite fond of you over the period of time we have spent together". He looked down and gulped. He continued, "Rhia I have strong feelings for you, I care about you deeply". He looked over at her then turned his back to her and said, "I needed to say that. If you feel differently, then I understand". He was lying. He just wanted her to be ok if she didn't feel for him the same way. He looked down at his feet, his back still turned to her. He waited for her response with his eyes closed and preparing himself for the worst.

[Akki]

"Yes, cold, very cold"She said, sticking her nose up in the air as a mock gesture of royalty. She sat down on the edge of the water, sticking her feet into the liquid before closing her eyes and sighing. So much has changed, she thought before wondering if anything would turn back to the normal quite place she had known from the start.

Nike is out of her fully glazed over state, I am no longer refusing to talk, Rhia and G'han just left, even you have changed Akkimine though no one else may see it. [/glow] Ebbeth said. I know Ebbeth, and you have changed. You are no longer immature, well sometimes you are but you have grown insight She replied, looking up at the sky before her green flitt ran into her, pushing her into the water. She gave was about to give a strangled scream and gasp before the icy water rushed over once more, her mouth now filled for it was agape when she went under.

Rhia stared at him. She head Mneith's roar of laughter. "Um..." Her face turned bright red. "Mneith was threatening to tell you..." She trailed off, speechless.

"That's why I stayed dry Akki." Christae shouted out at the bluerider.

[Akki]

"Hmmm I suppose attack Christae is out of the question Sargon"She spluttered when she reached the surface, spitting out water and gasping in air. Sargon cocked his head to the side and cherped before slipping in and out of the water. "I thought right"She grumbled as she pulled herself out of the water, ignoring the fact Ebbeths laugh was continously echoing in her head.

[Dragon]

G'han turned and looked at Rhia, "Was threatening to tell me what?". He looked at her, hoping it was the answer he wanted to hear.

[Tenma]

A tear rolled down Nira's cheek as Nike sadly walked away.
I will never leave you. Siarath said comfortingly, as she placed her head near Nira.
I know. She took a deep breath as she wiped away the. She then hugged her large dragon and more tears rolled along her face.

R’dan grinned as he watch Akki perform her “cold dance.” It /was/ rather cool with the breeze by the lake and he didn’t want to discover just how cold it felt when one was wet. ~It’s not that cold, watch~ Jesseth said before creating a wave of water that drenched R’dan. The rider shivered, “Oh, thanks Jesseth.” ~ You’re welcome ~ replied Jesseth, he then flicked his tail and sent more water flying onto R’dan. R’dan pushed his hair of his eyes, using the water to slick it back, “You know Jesseth it might not be cold to you, you have thick hide to protect you, but it’s freezing.” He shivered again.

[Akki]

She noticed R'dan shivering and exclaimed "Aha! I am not the only freezing!". She found it unfair, she just became dry and then what had to happen but she get pushed into the water. [glow=blue,2,300]I find it amusing that Sargon pushed you[/glow]Ebbeth gloated happily. "This is unfair! I can't even push him in the water for his remarks!"Akki said in a fake wail as she glowered at her large blue. [glow=blue,2,300]I find that very amusing, I can say something and you can't get revenge[/glow] Ebbeth replied, content with that fact. If I could I would push you in right now you lump of useless space She replied, even though it didn't sound threatening but more loving.
