Kadan finished what he was doing and say G'han headed to the lake. He decided he would follow and Sharan was right behind him. When he got to the lake G'han was already scrubbing Gerenanth. "What's going on?", he asked, not having a clue about what just happened.
.....................................
"Nike's dragon Tirith went between. She lost her dragon. Though I don't think you were introduced to her. But now isn't the time for introductions. She is going to need some time", he told Kadan. "Hey you can help me scrub Gerenanth. He's gotten fairly larger now and he is a chore to wash", he said. He remembered back when Gerenanth was barely waist high. Gerenanth stood still. "Today you are lucky, he normally likes to be difficult when you bathe him. Though I can understand why he isn't his normal self. He will need a bit of time", he said.
....................................
Kadan agreed to help scrub Gerenanth. Sharan flew off his shoulder where he was pirched and laid out on some dry land near the lake. "Poor girl. I can't even imagine what it would be like to lose your dragon", he said.

Nike layed on her bed, limp. Her skin was pale, an dher eyes glazed over. She looked half-dead. Her heart not bleving that Tirith was gone, but her mind was telling her that she was. Zim layed beside Nike's head in the crook of her neck watching her rider closely. The gold stroked Nike's cheek with her head.
Sh'iron sat by Nike's bed a cup of klah in his hand. He looked at the other riders, every so often looking at NIke.

"NIKE!" B'ton said, bursting into the weyr. Vretanth had told him what had happened, and nopw, Vretanth was as angry as ever. "W-what happened?" B'ton looked confused, his icy eyes pulsing.
((So, Tirith died? That will lead to one of my own plots))

Sargon looked at the other flitt and cherped back, sounding sorrow. Akki stroked the greens head lightly thinking. Tirith was gone, Nike was gone from reality and Ebbeth was off somewhere sulking, ignoring everyone while he could. Things definitly weren't going as she imagined.

Sh'iron looked up as B'ton bursted in. The bronze rider sushed him then led B'ton to the weyr ledge. "Tirith was sick, and well she went /between./ Nike's not herself, and never will be. It took a hard toll on us all, but even more on Nike. Just be quiet around her. Alright?" He said nodding.
Nike, not even noticing B'ton coming in, just stared blankly at the wall.
((Oh God! What plot?))

((Hehe, you'll find out, Vretanth, it has to do with vretanth))
B'ton nodded, his face sad. Vretanth would be so angry. It would take months for him to talk.

((Tell me now!))
Sh'iron sighed. "You can go and see Nike, but she's not going to be the same." He said walking back into the weyr.

Kia glanced up at B'ton as he burst in, making a bit of a fool of homself. Her eyes were glazed over with sorrow. She looked to her flitt quietly and walked next to him, scratching his eye ridges. It did feel nice but was not of much comfort. He chirped to Sargon, sulkily. Kia's lips curled into a frown as she realized something. She had no reason to be strong. She had no dragon to be strong for and this thought lead her to temporary depression.

Daran watched as B'ton ran by him and into Nike's weyr. He heard as the room was quiet other then one person. Not a surprise that not many were talking.

Christae stopped pacing when B'ton entered and gave a curt nod by way of greeting. She was glad that Sh'iron had taken the other rider aside. Loud noise wasn't good for a sickroom. When they returned she sighed. "I think we should let Nike rest now. Rhia's idea is a good one. Perhaps if we work hard enough we won't dream tonight. We still have a few hours left of daylight. Sitting here in a depressed mood will not help Nike get better."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"The new candidates can come with us and get their first lesson on caring for a dragon. They all need to learn how to wash and oil dragons in case they Impress so they can come help us now. Faranth knows the dragons are big enough to almost need three people to get them clean in a good amount of time." Rhia spoke. The brownrider nodded a greeting to B'ton.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Good idea Rhia." Christae walked over to where Nike lay. "Nike, if you can hear me, please hold on. You have to get better. We are all here for you and we love you. We do not want to lose you too. All is not lost." The young Weyrwoman fell silent, not knowing what else to do. She waited to see if Nike would respond, scarcely daring to hope. After a while she turned to Sh'iron.
"If you need anything let us know. You are more than welcome to join us but you probably want to stay with your friend if I guess correctly. If you need a break ask your dragon to bespeak Kaith. We will send someone up to watch over her. There is more klah in the pitcher and some soup in the pot. There is even some bread left. Try to get Nike to eat if you can. I will send a drudge up later to clean up."
Rhia stood when Christae walked towards the entrance of Nike's weyr. She let the Queenrider go first and then followed, casting a sorrowful glance over her shoulder at her unresponsive friend.

Kia spoke up again. "Let us go to the lake and give the dragons a nice cleaning. She is right, it is best we keep ourselves distracted," she said breathlessly. She tried to make it seem welcoming with a smile but once she turned her back and walked out it quickly turned back to a frown.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Daran watched as Kia walked out. He didn't think that now was the time to introduce himself so he just watched her walk on. He expected more people to come out now.
Sh'iron nodded. "Yeah I'll stay with Nike. If she respondes, I'll make sure to call you." The bronze rider said before taking his seat next to Nike's bed.
Nike didn't look at Christae, but she blinked once, and her eyes became less glazed over.
Akki glanced at Nike before saying to Kia "I'll go to the lake with you if you want, maybe I can convince Ebbeth to come too". She would do anything to get the blue to say something, her numerous attempts to contact him failed miserably. She turned, glanced once more at her friend then left and walked towards Kia.
Sh'iron nodded as the other left. He sat beside Nike, always watching her. Every so often he saw her blink, then she would go still. She was in shock, and it would take forever to get out of it.
"You'll be okay Nike..." B'ton said quietly. Vretanth was in his mind, he was almost lashing out.
Nike blinked at B'ton's words, but she stared out into space. Zim cherped softly, then huddled closer to Nike.
Sh'iron nodded. "I can't stand this. I'm gonna go. You can stay with Nike. Try and make her eat. If she speaks or does something odd, just tell Myranenth." THe bronze rider got up and walked out of the weyr, shaking his head.
B'ton nodded. He couldn't believe Tirith... died.
Nike blinked again. Zim looked up at B'ton and cherped. The Healer closed her eyes, then took a deep breath. How could she let Tirith die? Just how could she be so careless to let her dragon go away? She opened her eyes again. "How?" She whispered. Well barely whispered.
