“I don’t like this.”
V’ian looked up from the meal that rested before him and cocked his eyebrow. Akki sat in front of him, taking a sip of Benden wine with her nose crinkled with some sort of unhappiness. “You don’t like the wine? Are you feeling alright, you’ve never had a problem about wine before.”
The bluerider rolled her eyes and put her drink down on the table, jabbing a finger towards V’ian. “Not the wine. The Weyrleader. He waltzed into my Weyr like it was no big deal.” She complained. Akki liked to know everything and everyone. She hated the concept of there being a new Weyrleader, one she didn’t know. What if he was a jerk? She didn’t like strange faces when they came with a high amount of power.
“Well, there’s not much you can do there.” V’ian shrugged casually, chewing on a bit of meatroll. The flight had been a fair one and the fastest bronze had won; he had no complaints. Any complaints that Waeith had died down after one day and now the bronze was quite content, slumbering in their weyr.
“Wanna bet? One wrong move and pow! I’m after his bottom. This is me we’re talking about, I can raise a riot if I feel like it.” She pointed out, a content little grin playing on her lips. She wanted to meet this new bloke, that was for sure.
“Faranth’s sake. Just promise me one thing. You won’t make him cry.”

G'han's usual demeanour was gone. Carefree, relaxed, comical. That just wasn't him lately. Instead, he had been working himself to the bone and the mounting stress had been showing. G'han had dove headlong into his position as wingleader. Then there was this whole going back in time thing that was discovered and G'han was sure to work closely with the weyrwoman and the other wings.
He had been helping coordinate just which riders from his wing, as well as helping advise choosing some from other wings, would be testing this thing out. Unfortunantly for G'han, he had met with one of the other wingleaders and recommended the brownrider from his wing that never returned. There was some guilt from that, even if G'han wasn't the one that gave the final okay.
The bronzerider didn't get as much sleep as he use to. If he got any sleep it was him passing out on his bed until he had to wake up for the next day. He stayed out later and woke up earlier to be sure he got in his usual work out before doing anything else. And now? Now there was a new weyrleader! This had been the second of Kaith's flights that G'han participated in and once again he wasn't victorious.
Now normally, G'han wouldn't mind. But talk was cheap around this weyr, and some liked to run their mouth and G'han usually wouldn't care except that G'han had been edgey as of late. It didn't take much to prod him. Eventually things would even out for G'han, but they hadn't yet.
Instead, the situation was now someone G'han had managed to tick off because that someone ticked off G'han. A shove from the unknown man caused G'han to react by throwing his wine in the man's face. "Touch me again, and I'll break that hand", G'han spat at him. The guy was ready to do just that though. Just as he balled his fist up and was about to hit G'han, the man's buddy grabbed his arm.
"What are you? Drunk? You can't just start fights with a bronzerider. Especially this one", the friend managed to talk the guy out of it and gave G'han a curt nod as he ushered the former aggressor away. G'han simply spat in their general direction as they wandered off. G'han grumbled to himself before pouring another glass of wine and finding a place to sit.
He shook his head, mumbling something to himself, before he looked up to spot Akki and her brother. He took a seat next to Akki and nodded to V'ian before taking a sip of wine and taking a look at Akki. "So who are we going to make cry?", he asked casually before taking another sip.
Whatever mood G'han was in before he sat down certainly lightened when he sat next to Akki. Of course he had to wonder now just who she was talking about.

“I still think there’s a bigger issue here. It’s not even lunch time and you’re drinking.” V’ian pointed out, nodding his head towards the girl’s cup.
Akki snarled at him for a second before turning her head, watching as a fight seemed to build up before quickly falling apart. Figures G’han was somehow connected in that one. “Watch what you say around the kid, yeah? He’s been antsy lately.” Akki dropped her voice to a whisper and then moments later, G’han had joined their table.
V’ian gave a two fingered salute, promising his sister that he wouldn’t start anything. “Apparently the plan is to make the new Weyrleader cry.” He grinned lopsidedly. Akki and he had the same crooked smile though Akki’s normally had a little devious streak underlining hers. It was the only thing that really made them look related. V’ian was tan, brown eyed and brown haired. Akki was blonde, bluegreenbrown eyed and pale. Siblings apparently didn’t have to look alike.
Akki smothered a snicker as she noticed that G’han was also drinking wine. “There are strangers afoot in my Weyr, G’han. I don’t like this, not one bit.”
Her hand strayed from her cup and pulled down on her sleeve. It had only been a few days since she had been attacked outside the Weyr and it was still a secret. She didn’t want G’han finding out, he’d burst a blood vessel in some fit of rage. The ‘V’ carved into her arm was still fresh and she couldn’t blame the letter on V’ian since the boy was sitting right there and would obviously deny it.
“I expect you want in?”

G'han looked between the two of them. "New weyrleader's the problem, eh?", G'han gave the rhetorical question before taking another sip of wine. Figures Akki wouldn't be pleased about that one. The weyrleader they had now was fresh blood. Akki, nor he, knew virtually nothing about him. But for Akki, it had to be killing her. She liked to know the ends and outs of the weyr. You could bet she would be in the middle of any gossip and rumors. Heck, Akki started half those herself.
G'han put down the glass, eyeing the room before turning his attention back to her. "Poor thing", he responded to her when she told him someone she didn't know was in her weyr. G'han grinned at her and placed a hand mockingly on her hand. It was a game the two played often. It's why atleast half the weyr were convinced they were lovers. G'han understood all too well that he and Akki had a very odd and interesting friendship.
"How dare them. They didn't go by the proper procedure. You would think everyone would know by now that all newcomers have to go through you", G'han joked with her as a smile finally played his features. A mischivous smile, but a smile nonetheless.
"Why of course I want in", G'han stated, smile still on his face, as he inched his hand up Akki's sleeve in a flirtatious manner. Whether or not V'ian was there wouldn't actually have mattered. G'han would flirt with Akki if she had her own weyrmate sitting next to her. But as his fingers traced up from Akki's hand and up her arm, an expression of confusion caught G'han's face as he felt something.
He quickly lifted Akki's sleeve up to see that there was a scar on her. A "V" shaped scar. G'han looked over to V'ian. Why did he look over to V'ian? His name started with a V but that didn't mean he did this. He wasn't exactly besties with V'ian but he trusted the man enough to know he wouldn't go about carving initials into his sister.
G'han gritted his teeth and looked Akki directly in the eye. "I think you got some 'splainin' to do", G'han told her as he now held her arm very gently. G'han's heart had sank when he saw that scar, and now he was doing his best to keep his composure. How long would it hold though?

“I don’t even know his favorite color.” Akki practically hissed. V’ian snickered. He was fully aware as to how much this was bothering her and thoroughly enjoying it. If the Weyrleader wanted to be a good one then he’d have to learn how to put up with the female bluerider.
“He better not go through proper procedure.” V’ian mumbled under his breath. Last time Akki had decided to go meet someone, she ended up getting a little too friendly. Or at least that was what he was told from the drudges. Akki shot V’ian a dirty look which confirmed the story. “Shards, can’t you keep it in your pants for five minutes?” V’ian said with a hint (Way more than a hint) of exasperation.
“I didn’t get on your case when you slept with Anassa and then ditched her in the morning.” Akki shot back. She turned her attention back to G’han and grinned at the innuendo of his comment. Her smile faltered though when she felt her sleeve being lifted. Whoop. Bad timing for the scar to be shown. She tapped her fingers against the table and shrugged, “V’ian did it.”
“Ohnonononono. Don’t you dare blame this one on me. I want to know about this too.” V’ian snorted. There was a letter in his sisters arm! A sharding letter!
Akki bit down on the inside of her cheek, the gears in her head turning as quickly as possible. She could feel blood filling up her mouth – she had bitten down a bit too hard. She raised her glass, took a sip and put it back on the table before shrugging casually. “New ‘lover’. Some guy from Caspian. He’s into some kinkier junk but it’s fine.”
It was the best excuse she could think of.

G'han looked from Akki to V'ian when she tried to blame him. However, G'han was inclined to agree that V'ian didn't do this one. The guy seemed like a nice enough fellow to NOT be carving letters into people's arms. Was G'han actually nervous? He could certainly understand being worried. But Akki was fine. There was no real threat right now. Right now being the emphasis G'han put thought on.
G'han dismissed her story, ignoring it altogether. "Whoever did this to you, are they in the weyr?", G'han asked with some aggitation to his voice. No, he wasn't aggitated at Akki. Infact, he had gone from holding Akki's arm to holding her hand as he spoke to her. He highly doubted he'd be aggitated at her and manage that caring effort. Even though he just now realized he was doing it.
No, he was just aggitated in general and at the fact that there could be someone dangerous on the loose nearby the weyr. He looked over to V'ian again. The other bronzerider was just as clueless as he was. His own words had confirmed it. He wanted to know as much about this as G'han did and G'han didn't blame him. This was his sister after all.
G'han, calm yourself. Gerenanth's words had been all too familiar as of late. The roles had reversed it seemed. Lately Gerenanth had been playing the voice of reason. G'han gave a mental nod and tried to slow the gears that were turning furiously in his mind. But...it didn't work.
Part of G'han wanted that sicko to be here though. G'han could imagine his hands choking the life out of this kid for what he did to Akki. And if that weren't enough, he could give him a busted nose, lip, eye, and jaw. G'han would break his face in if he got half a chance. Those thoughts were only visible by the vein that started to show in the side of G'han's head. It wouldn't have been so noticeable if it hadn't started twitching.
Gerenanth knew at this point his words would have little impact on G'han. The bronze could only hope that Akki and V'ian might manage to settle him down. Afterall, G'han was most comfortable when around Akki. Perhaps that's what aggitated him more than anything. Someone had hurt someone he cared for. An all-too-familiar setting for G'han. Given his history.

Akki raised one eyebrow slowly and shot G’han an incredulous look. “No. I just said he was at Caspian. Are you two not listening to me?” She scoffed. This story was easier to stick too than the actual one; there would be less chance of her brother and G’han freaking out. “It’s no biggie. Me and him were goofing around and this happened. I don’t care.” She rolled her eyes, informing them that they were making too big of a deal.
V’ian didn’t know if she was telling the truth or not. He was pretty sure she wasn’t but still, there was always the slight chance that she was. “Fine. Next time you see him, tell him I’ll be carving a ‘V’ somewhere unpleasant.” He said, his lips pursed. He was the only who could smack his sister around! That’s what brothers were for!
“Not only are you two making a big deal out of nothing, but you’re also perverted about wanting to know about my bed-romping activities.” Akki snickered. She shook off G’hans hand and flapped her hands in the air, waving off their worries. “You guys are making me lose focus! This is about the Weyrleader! What are we going to do about him!”
“You let a man cut a letter into your arm but you can’t handle a new Weyrleader?”
“Shut up V’ian or I’ll cut you.” Akki growled before letting her attention drift back to the matter at hand. “I suggest we storm the WL’s weyr and force out his life story.”
V'ianmine, you're going to riot against the Weyrleader? He won fairly, you know. That's not very gentlemanly. Waeith had clearly woken up from his nice little nap. Every now and then we have to humor Akki.

OOC: I think Mina would get a kick out of you guys storming the Weyrleader's weyr and force out his life's story. Christae would be livid but amused. I was thinking of tossing one of my characters in here but I wasn't sure which one I wanted lol))

G'han glared at Akki, the first time he'd ever done that. "Oh don't give me that load of-", G'han cut himself off, realizing he was getting just a little too tense towards Akki. This was when knowing Akki got to be frustrating. G'han knew she was lying and she refused to tell the truth.
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He was worried for Akki, he wasn't about to bite her head off in the process of worrying. G'han was an odd man of standard that way. "Look, just spit out the truth. If this guy is still wandering around nearby, then others could get hurt", he said to her a little calmer.
Now G'han was worried that this unknown person might go after his kids, or the mother of his kids. Just who would be safe? Now G'han had a bunch of other worries dumped on him all at once. Either way, part of G'han wanted to get at this guy and throttle him. It was an all-too familiar story for G'han. The people he cared for the most either died, vanished, or got hurt. The bronzerider had been determined to stop the cycle and even thought he had been successful. But he was just too stacked with worry to think he was now.
G'han looked over to his fellow bronzerider, and the brother of Akki. "He's right. You get a letter carved into you and you're worried over a new leader in town? I'd call you crazy, but I already know that's true", G'han responded to her.

(Wheee! Time to bring in Relina! I`ll delete the post if it ain`t welcome though, I just dun wanna seem like I`m leeching off the main plots or anything.)
With Soranith sleeping comfortably in her couch, Relina popped into the dining hall for a bite to eat. She looked around, wondering what to do when she overheard the elder riders conversation about the weyrleader. She leaned against the wall and listened to their exchange with a stern look on her face.
She did not know much about the weyrleader, and had expected to get some info on him without having to actually ask anyone. After the conversation had shifted, with G`han addressing Akki and accusing her of being crazy, Relina grew annoyed and cleared her throat.
"So is there anyone here who knows anything about this man aside from the fact he rides the queen`s bronze, or is he as new here as my flitter-brained sister?" She asked them in a curious, yet matter-of-fact tone. Approaching the riders with (in her opinion) a dignified manner, she stopped when she got within arms reach of G`han and stayed quiet, to see how they would react to her rather unwelcoming tone.

“Mrrrrrrawwww!”
V’ian placed his fingertips against his forehead and sighed. “Your weird noises won’t help you!” He called out before turning to G’han. “Whenever she was getting caught in a lie when she was younger, she would just make these weird noises in hopes it would distract everyone.”
“Shut up V’ian.” Akki frowned. She knew why the two boys were worried but she hated it when people worried. “I said no worries G’han. I got things completely under control.” She beamed innocently at him. She was excited to see her knife fanatic freak again. The bluerider couldn’t wait to get back at him especially for cutting up her favorite shirt – the jerk. “Now if we don’t drop this conversation, I will break this bottle of wine and use it as a weapon to beat you both.”
“How about you seduce the Weyrleader? Then we can kick him out for betraying Christae.” V’ian grinned slyly, leaning back in his chair. He wasn’t grinning because it was a good plan but the thought of Akki seducing anyone? Ha! She’d fail miserably at that one.
Akki cast a look over at Relina and flashed the girl her crooked smile, “You’re still pretty new yourself kid.”
“Maybe she should go seduce the WL?” V’ian suggested

"Who are we seducing?" Asked Andilay as she sat next to V'ian and set down her pitcher of klah. Not a cup, a pitcher. "And why wasn't I invited?" She smiled at the group and winked at V'ian. She turned her body a bit more towards this person she didn't know.
"Hello, I don't think I've had the pleasure of meeting you before. I'm Andilay. You know, the candidate that got mauled last hatching? That was me." She then waved over at Akki. "I kinda remember you. Kinda. Akki right? Your like, G'han's bestest best friend, right?"
She turned her attention to G'han and flashed him her warmest smile. "You seem more agitated than normal love. What's up?"
((Same goes for me. I can easily erase this if it isn't wanted.))

G'han raised an eyebrow when Akki made a funny noise, and turned to hear V'ian's statement. Oh if only he had thought things through before telling the obvious joke. "Really? I thought she only made those funny noises in bed", he said. Even when aggitated, G'han couldn't help his humor. And it's not like Akki could truthfully deny being in bed with G'han. Now them doing anything while in bed was a whole other matter.
"Yes, because getting a letter carved in your arm by some knife-wielding psycho is something that falls under completely under control", G'han spat back. Akki's avoidance of the truth was getting to G'han. If this weren't Akki, he'd probably be ready to throttle the answer out of someone. "And since when does telling me not to do something ever work?", he questioned her.
He took a glance behind him to this girl that had decided to address them. That's about all he did, because he then turned his attention right back to Akki. He decided another sip of wine was in order but no sooner had the liquid made it's way into his mouth and he went to remove the glass away from his lips, the liquid went sputtering as G'han turned his head to the side so he wouldn't spray Akki.
G'han was choking on his own wine, before finally recooperating to speak. "Akki seducing someone? Ha! A wherry would have better luck", G'han responded. He beat his chest a couple times, ridding himself of the cough. "Warn me next time you say something like that V'ian", G'han said as he looked up to notice Andilay joining the conversation.
"More aggitated than normal? Never! Why just moments ago I only threw my glass of wine in someone's face and nearly started a brawl. I'd say I've actually settled down a bit. Must be having a good day", G'han joked sarcasticly. "Why, it's not like my bestest best friend got a letter carved into her arm by some unknown knife-wielding psycho that she's not willing to talk about", he continued, looking at Akki the whole time.

V’ian turned his gaze away from Akki and G’han and smiled politely at Andilay, “I do vaguely remember someone making a mess on the sands.” Ah, hatchings. You were so much more exciting when someone got a dragon trying to rip out their throat. He glared at G’han before reaching over and punching the man in the shoulder, “Why! Why do you feel the need to tell me about my sisters grosslife!” No brother needed to hear about how their sister was in bed. That’s just wrong.
Akki snapped her fingers and gave a two fingered salute to Andillay, “I’m only his bestest best friend in bed. He’s worthless otherwise.” She said with a casual shrug, watching as her brother hit G’han. “Atta boy! You show him!” She cheered quite contently.
Fist fights? She looooved fist fights!
“Ew. Say don’t spray it.” Akki sniffed, her nose crinkled in slight digust as some liquid came flying out of G’hans mouth. Boys could be so gross. She slammed down a fist onto the table and narrowed her eyes at her friend, “Five marks I could seduce you.” It would be a challenge but since when did Akki care? Those marks were hers!
V’ian slugged her in the arm this time. “WHAT DID I JUST SAY. I DON’T WANT TO HEAR ABOUT THIS STUFF.” He yelled, flinging his hands up in the air with a look that was a mixture of horror and disgust.
I wouldn’t mind knowing about the letter also. Ebbeth grumbled quietly. He knew something had happened but he didn’t know the details. His rider refused to talk and kept that part of her mind shielded from him.

G'han took the hit, shifting slightly from the impact. He really did deserve it, so he wasn't going to act out on it. Even if he had been irritable lately. G'han was pretty good at shrugging off hits, but he had to admit that one kind of stung. He'd make a note to be a little farther out of V'ian's range when he made jokes like those again.
"Fine, it's a deal. I'll double it if you can manage it in a sevenday", G'han said with a smirk. Ah, this was part of the friendship that G'han liked. Totally awkward to anyone else but them. Akki would more than likely take the bet. One, there were marks involved and two, she was issued a challenge. Challenges like these Akki wouldn't back down from too often. Atleast not in G'han's experience.
He grinned when V'ian slugged her as well. Atleast he wasn't the only one taking a hit. He looked back over to V'ian as he shouted. "Fine. How about five marks says you can't seduce that greenrider lady friend of yours in a sevenday. Happy?", G'han thought it'd be a nice way to include V'ian. But it probably wasn't the best approach.

Andilay quirked an eyebrow at G'han. Was he being facetious? She tried to resiste the downward pull of a frown, but failed. "And that doesn't speak, 'agitated' to you? Me thinks you need some quiet time. Or therapy. Whichever comes first."
She smiled at V'ain as he made the comment about her maul on the sands. "That's me, spilling my lifeblood where ever I go. Tisn't a place I've been that doesn't have a bit 'o my blood on it somewhere." She shrugged. "Comes with the territory I guess."
She chuckled at the overall silliness of the group. Was Akki really so inept that she could seduce no man? She didn't know. But she was sure men in general weren't normally all that hard to seduce. After all, she had seduced a few men... rather easily. One of which she gave a coy glance..
Which unfortunately got a little glarey. Was that just a pang of jealousy? It wasn't everyday the man you 'liked' and who you had been sharing a bed with easily accepted a seducing bet... doubling it if the other woman could do it by the next sevenday... especially right in front of her.
She crossed her arms and tried to decide between on one of the many choices in front of her. A.) She could just let it go. B.) She could glare at G'han a while more and make it obvious she was displeased... and perhaps refuse to be his stress reliever for the next two sevendays. C.) She could help Akki seduce the man she liked in a show of good fun and female superiority. D.) Kick his ass and leave in tears.
....This was a toughy.

“Ten marks?” Akki practically purred. Ten marks, all for her? And just for seducing G’han? Oh this was all too easy. The poor boy was going to be broke in the next sevenday!
V’ian blanched at G’hans remark, “No.” Noooo way, no how. “Pick anyone else, not Anassa. She’d slit my throat! Come on, give me another person.” The bronzerider more or less whined. He could still remember the feisty glare in her eyes the morning she yelled at him. He didn’t particularly want to see it again. He hid a shudder before letting his eyes drift back to Andilay, grinning. “Remember not me to invite you into my weyr then. I like my things blood free.”
Akki drummed her fingers against the table and took a sip of wine, thinking. “I have someone to seduce, V’ian will get a new someone but what about you G’han? You need someone to seduce.” She leaned forward, letting her elbows rest on the table as she continued to think away. “What about Hasima? No wait, that’s too mean to her.” She thought aloud.
“How about you go for Anassa?” V’ian suggested
“Or Z’ayr! Seduce Z’ayr!” Akki more or less screeched.

"Oh fine, fine", G'han said exasperated. "You can seduce Andilay", he added right after. He pointed to Andilay when he spoke. He looked to V'ian when he had done so, but then looked back to Andilay.
"Therapy? I've been needing therapy since...ever?", G'han responded to her with a slight grin. He took a look over at Akki. "I don't know. How long have I known you Akki?", he asked, putting emphasis on the relation between needing therapy and the amount of time he'd known Akki.
If he noticed Andilay didn't like him flirting with Akki, G'han either didn't notice or didn't show it. He turned his attention between V'ian and Akki. "Anassa? Might as well ask me to try and seduce Rhia. That's how successful I'd be", he responded to V'ian. "Besides that, she's your gal", G'han added with a grin as he wagged his finger knowingly at his fellow bronzerider.
He gave a wrinkled nose at Akki. "Z'ayr? Sorry. Too young and not my type. And how about we make things interesting and make this female only. I say if yall are suggesting Akki seduce the Weyrleader, then I should seduce the Weyrwoman", G'han replied. He didn't care if that bet was a bigger bite than he should have chewed off. It was all in good fun, right? Besides, he'd pay good money to have Akki seduce him. Or try to.

She let out a small 'huff' at the mention of V'ain seducing her. She gave the other bronzerider a once over. "I dunno. I'm pretty hard to seduce... or should I say, I like to do the seducing?" She smiled and blew him a kiss, jiggling her bosom a little. If G'han wanted to play with others... two could play that game.
She rolled her eyes at the obvious implication that his attitude was all due to Akki's influence. Sure, it could be true... but she doubted that was the full of it. She would have to give Akki a few pointers as to what would turn G'han into a surprised pile of male goo... Because a dragon hath no fury like a woman scorned. And she did indeed feel scorned.
It was bound to happen. Especially with G'hans mood as of late. Andilay only had so much understanding in her before the female fury broke loose.

V’ian blinked at Andilay’s show of wiggling her top half and then turned back to G’han with a rather stone-like face, “Why? Why do you want to make this difficult, no, impossible for me?” He reached into his pants pocket and placed five marks onto the table. “I can’t seduce people! I’m socially awkward!” He complained rather loudly, tapping his fingers against the wooden table. Plus Andilay scared him a wee bit.
“Ohhh, ha ha. You are oh so funny G’han.” Akki drawled, frowning at the boy. “You should thank your lucky stars that you met me. Your life would be so droll without me! You need me. No one can warm your furs the way I do.” The bluerider pointed out rather matter of factly as if she were indeed the Queen of fur warming. She wrapped her fingers around her cup of wine and lifted it, taking a nice long sip of the cool liquid. Their Weyrleader rebellion had somehow turned into a game of trying to do seduce certain people. Not that Akki really minded, she was pretty darn good at this game.
“I’m not seducing the Weyrleader, I’m going to make him cry.” Akki corrected in a professional manner, tipping her glass towards G’han. “But go ahead and try to seduce Christae, show her what you’re made of and junk.” She snickered, enjoying the thought. She leaned over and patted G’han on the cheek, “And get your furs ready, lover-boy. Those marks are mine.” Her words were being practically purred. Akki didn’t like to lose, especially when there was money involved.
V’ian let his lip curl up slightly, “You two disgust me.” He ignored his fellow bronzerider’s comment about Anassa. He was pretty sure the greenrider despised him and oh Faranth, he would be missing limbs if she found out that he was going to try to seduce her in order to win some marks. He tilted his head towards Andilay, “What about this lady? She said she likes to do the seducing, so who should be her target?”
