A fantasy or more?((Konta))

In the twilight, Roridyn sat. Obilivious to all that surrounded her. The pain was overbearing to her. Her mother didn't want her. It's been one Turn now. She should have found her by now if she did. Her brother had deserted her and left her frightened. Cold and alone, she shivered in the night. Mostly because she lost her family and she sobbed in deep agony.

And her father? A dragonrider that meant everything to her but she feared the dragons. She hurt her to be never to with her family again. That time that when her brother tried to protect her, her father slice her left eye. Her brother had taken care of her and put gauze on her eye with medical tape after he had cleaned the wound and then put the eye patch on. She hated her father because of that. Her dreams had gotten more real in this forest. She wondered if the man she constantly drempt about was even real or just a figment of her imagination.

Roridyn sighed as he got up and walked, aimlessly. Not knowing where she was going, she was numb. She walked with a heavy heart. Tears came to her eyes. She let them fall....she felt betrayed. How could they do this? Why couldn't they find her? Did they even care to look? How could her brother leave me without even telling her goodbye? These questions and more were spreading like wildfire in her mind. Still, this forest had a familiar feeling. Its almost as if she had been here before but that was impossible. She had never been here in her 14 Turns of life. She felt strangely at home here, protected. She didn't understand these feelings of familiarity. She saw compelled to walk. A force more greater than she was leading her on. She saw all sorts of beautiful sites that made her gasp in amazement.

She stopped at a wide river. Something told her to cross it but how? She had no weapons on her or tools....she looked down a ways down the river...a bridge! Oh, good. She approached the bridge and crossed it and the pull stopped. When the pull stopped, she stopped not understanding why. She sighed as she looked around and saw nothing.

"Great. Now what? I'm lost, hungry and cold. Where is my brother? ah, no matter." she said. Then a feral growl sounded behind her. She spun around and saw a wild wher looming up before her. Her eyes spelled fear as the creature started go after her neck. She screamed but that didn't deter the beast. She was going to die.....she just new it!

As the wher lunged a ball of fur and muscle hit the animal as a smaller one went in front of the girl. Then a large man came from the forest and held a club in his hands. Two canines were growling and the one that attacked the wher back to the man and stood growling at the Wher. The man glarred and yelled at it. His club moving easily next to him.

The Wher whimpered as it was knocked down. The wher hissed at the ball of fur and tried to snap at it. The wher attacked. The man's yell didn't seem to affect it. It lunged at the smaller canine and slashed at it with its paw.

The smaller canine growled and attacked it. The smaller canine snarled at it and lunged for the beast and bit its neck and forgot to let go. The wher thrashed around its neck and knocked the smaller one down on his side. The smaller canine went sailing into a tree, yelped and fell on the ground not moving. The wher turned his attention to Roridyn once more. It slowly approached her and grumbled a chuckle. Its eyes whirled red. Roridyn backed up against a tree and she cringed as the beast loomed before her. Her eyes got real big and shivered under the whers gaint claws.

Roridyn had no weapons therefore she could not defend herself. She scanned the area for her brother but she saw no one. She slapped it, kicked it but that only made it angrier. She looked the large man with fear in her eyes, pleading him to do something.

Ferik attacked again keeping low and striking at the creatures neck and flanks. Konta moved around his canine and swung his club hard and fast. He had much strength to attack anything open. He attack at it's eyes and neck. He growled and Ferik did too. "Ferik Boop." he said. Ferik left the Wher to go next to the smaller canine and nudged with his nose. He began trying to wake him.

Boop stirred a little and shook his head. He gruffed at Ferik and growled at the wher but in his condition, he was hardly up to another fight. He whined as if something was still wrong with him. The wher had thrown him pretty hard against the tree. He got and limped towards Konta and laid down, not understanding why he was hurt. The wher had it coming. It shrieked in pain when the large man hit it in the eye and neck. The same place that Boop had bit. It tried to bite the large man's arm. Boop growled and tried to get up. He tried to protect the large man. Boop ran toward the wher and attacked. He lunged at the beast. He was trained well and as soon as he attacked, the pain faded. He was acting purely on instinct. Boop bit its back and clawed its neck. It yelled in fury and bucked him off and he went flying! Only this time he landed on his feet. He crouched to minimize the impact and barked at Ferik.

The wher went after Boop! He didn't know what to do other than just to put his paws over his eyes.

"You leave that canine alone! Picking on me is one thing but going after an animal is -totally- different." The wher spun around and snapped at her to back off. She was shocked at its aggressive behaviour. She kicked it in the rear hard. It screamed in pain once more. It was drooling and the saliva was dripping out of his mouth on to the ground. It considered going after the girl again, since she was the weakest and the more defensless of the bunch. It remember the pain it recieved from the big man and thought better of it. It whined and its stomached growled as it walked off.

Boop relaxed and as he relaxed, the pain was more evident now than ever. He whimpered at Ferik and limped slowly over to the large man and laid down by his side. Every muscle in his body hurt plus he had a broken rib. He fought bravely and even though he he down for a few moments, it didn't phase him until after the battle.

Konta chuckled at the little canine. He went to his knees and gently pet Boop. "Good boy. You did well. Let's get you home and taken care of my friend." he said. Ferik went over to Boop and licked his face. Konta looked at the girl and regarded her a moment before looking over Boop again to see just how bad the pup was. "Ferik guard. It might come back."

Ferik looked at the pup and then at Konta as he moved 360 degrees around the pair and scanned the forest then took off like a bolt. He hid in the forest as well as any member of his Family. And just as quiet. If you didn't know what to look for you never would know he was there.

"You! Its you. I am Roridyn and I thank you for coming to my rescue. I have drempt about this place, of you. I feel like I have known this forest as it was my own but that's impossible. My father is a dragonrider and he's the one that sliced my eye open and it all because my brother told me that dragons were evil. That's when my brother attacked him. I was only trying to protect him from my father and when he sliced my eye, he called it an -accident-. It was no accident. Its been a Turn now and no one has come for me. I hate my father for doing this. My brother guided me here. He knew that I would be protected because if the density of the forest. I sat by the river and then I felt this compelling urge to walk across the bridge and the feeling stopped. That's when that beast attacked. My mother doesn't want me, she would have found me if she did. Not even a blasted search party!" She exclaimed, angry by sad. "Why would they do that?"

Konta looked at the girl a little more then just confused. He gently lifted Boop and held his arms in a craddle. He began to turn his back on the girl and began to walk home with Ferik close behind. THe larger canine began to bark happily and jump around Konta. Like he too was a pup. Konta looked at Ferik and smiled. "Guard." he said. And Ferik looked the forest and growled. Walking close as to watch for any threat.

Roridyn's heart sank when he turned his back towards her.

"Go. Leave me just like everyone does. My mother left, my father....I doubt that he even knows I exist anymore even my own brother will not come for me!" She refused to cry. "It's been a Turn since I left home, my family, my brother....for what? A dream! I am a fool. No one has come for me. They do not care. They don't love me if my father did this to me. You want to see the freak!

Admin's Note:[/hr] That's what they call me now." She lifted the eye patch. There was nothing there at all, just a empty red spot. "He made me blind in the left eye. No one wants him dead more than I do. I have no love for dragonriders or their kin." She glared at him and narrowed her eyes. "Your just like them." she mumbled. "You leave just as they did. My brother. Hmfp...he left me here to die. I haven't seen him since I came in here. It's obvious. Nobody wants a horrid little freak like me." She wasn't emotional like the other girls. Instead of crying, she punched the tree over and over again until her knuckles started to bleed and a little sting. "I hate my life and I'm only 15. I feel like to shriveling up and wilting."

Konta didn't care for her words. He wasn't one to let emotion get to him. He just walked. He had more important things to worry about. Like this little pup. He cared more for beasts then for people anyways. Konta began to whistle as he walked. He even yawned. It was rather a dull day.

Roridyn got up and followed him. She kept a safe distance away and gave the canine a widebirth. She watched Konta with determination. She was hungry and cold and she mainly wanted some food and warmth. Also she wanted Konta's company.

Konta continued to the cave and talked to the pup quietly to keep him calm. Once he made it to the cave he began to take care of his wounds. Ferik went to his corner and layed down in his bed. Then Kria began to sniff and bark at anything that moved. She then jumped on Ferik and cuddled into his paw.

Roridyn approached. She remembered how she was treated. She stood on the outskirts of the camp, afriad to come closer. Afraid that she would be disappointed. Afraid of his reaction of her being there. She was so cold and hungry though but her fear ruled her hunger. Her stomach growled as she watched the warmth of the fire in the cave. She gulped. She shivered and groaned. She hunched over to try to keep warm.

Konta continued to tend to the canine. A man walked to him and chuckled. He had food in his hands. His eyes looked at her and he walked to her. He stopped an arms distance away and held out the food. "Come on." he said and headed back inside to the fire.

Roridyn followed the man to the cave as she took the food, towards warmth. She didn't talk. She was too afraid to. Afriad that someone would beat her. She take some food and ate hungrily. She wasn't overly thin but the man could tell that she hadn't eaten quite some time.

The warmth of the fire felt good on her skin. She moved closer to it, staring into it, hypnotized. Her dream was her hold a flaming torch and watching as was home burned. She was laughing. People were dying, burned alive and she was laughing about it. She sighed as blinked the dream free and shook her head. Fire. Her worst nightmare.

Roridyn got up after being well fed and warm. She approached Konta and kissed him on the cheek.

"You are so good with your canines." She sat next to him. "You know, sir I feel like I have known you forever."

Konta finished with Boop and let him sleep. He looked at Rori and lifted a brow. "You don't know me. Anything you dreamt wasn't real. We are nothing to eachother and I have no reason why you are here. I care for my canines because they are my responsibility." He stood and began to walk deeper into the cave for the Kitchen. He got himself food and something to drink.

Roridyn wasn't shocked by his answer.

"I told you why I am here!" she hissed angrily. "I am here because I-I...." oh, what was the point anyway. "Weren't you listening or are too dimwitted to know the difference?" she angrily spat. "Your right. I -don't- know you. Another dream I had was I was holding a burning torch, watching my home be burned alive. I was laughing. Every night, I hear their screams of pain but you don't care to hear my words. Now, tell me...could -that- come true?"

Roridyn sighed. "You are very good with them, especially the youngest." She smiled. "Okay, I will shut up, seeing as how you aren't very socialable." She hissed. "Your company is as cold as I am. I am here for revenge, just like everyone here is." She mumbled under her breath. She walked off and sighed. She leaned up against the cave and shivered again. "I would like to get to know you, if you let me."

Konta shook his head. "I don't like people. There is nothing worth knowing. And how would you even know why everyone is here? None want Revenge here. They want a home to be accepted. That is why they are here. a Family." Konta began to eat. He relaxed a bit more and looked at the canines near the front of the cave. HE smiled as he watch the Female pup play with Ferik. The bigger canine loved her and played with her or taught her himself.

"I see. I don't have a home. That life ended when my father took my eye. My brother made sure I was deathly afraid of dragons and their riders. As a result, I will never again leave this place until I get over it. I don't want just renvenger, sir. I have accepted my fate as a loner. It's been 1 Turn and no one has found me no one has even bothered to look. You would think that in that time frame, -someone- would find me, right? That is, if the cared. My mother is doing Farnath knows what, probably doing something boring like -Weaving-. I have no love for the people who hurt me and all the fecking idiots I ran into before I came here." she chuckled.

"Revenge is not all I'm after. After I came here, I felt my life change. I don't expect you to understand. You don't know me but my name. You have me at a disadvantage, sir. "She smiled and chuckled. "I don't even know your name, yet you know mine. Oh, relax. I don't need it. Not if your going to play Mr. tough guy. I know what dream isn't real but its the only thing I have to hold to. My brother is somewhere out there but he doesn't care about me. He cared enough to protect me but he didn't care enough to see if I was alright. Not even after that beast attack. No one wants me."

Konta eyed the girl. She spoke too much. He wanted to eat in piece. He was tired of hearing everyones sob story about why their lives were so bad. But he didn't speak. He decided maybe telling his name would get her to shut up. "I am Konta."
