[As the title says, it seems that everything does happen at the lake...this one doesn't TECHNICALLY happen at the lake. They're gonna go for a walk on the land AROUND the lake, but there is no "General Weyr Grounds" board...so it happens in the lake board. ]
Unfortunately, after the flitter hatching, J'kiran and Kira didn't seem to have had much luck finding a lot of spare time to go for that walk-and-talk they'd decided would be fun. With both of them having Weyrling training and chores piled on, relaxation time wasn't exactly plentiful. And the time that J'kiran did have away from chores and training was often spent taking care of Kaenith. By now the young bronze was already around 20 feet tall at the shoulder, and he was really only able to get into the parts of the Weyr designed for dragons to be in. He did, however, fit outside for walks.
Shall I call Ayerith to let her and Hers know we want to walk, mine? The bronze asked of his young Rider as they stepped towards the outside entrance of the temporary candidate barracks. J'kiran nodded.
That would be helpful; I'm not entirely sure if Kira is in her barracks. Having Kaenith call for them would help J'kiran to avoid stepping and propriety boundaries in looking for her where the female candidates' had their rooms.
Ayerith, the bronze sent to the weyrling's copper. Would you and Yours like to go for a walk with me and Mine? They did talk about it previously, and there seems to be time now. In his months of life, Kaenith had started to pick up on J'kiran's more proper-style way of speech.

That sounds good. Kiramine could stand to leave the room and get some fresh air. Ayerith, Kira's copper, was quick to respond when she heard the familiar sound of a certain bronze. Through Jil and Kira's friendship, the two had atleast become familiar to one another.
The copper stretched as she stood from where she was sunbathing. Kira may have been inside, but the copper was content to lay in the sun while she did so. Kiramine, Jil is waiting for you outside. Kaenith says you two talked about going on a walk? The copper stretched out her wings. She had gotten big and found it hard to fit into places she use to go. It was fine by her. It was just a good excuse to spend more time laying out in the sun, and the copper aquired a taste for sunbathing.
Kira was laying in her bed, atop her covers. It was a good sign that she hadn't been in her bed or in the room for very long. When Ayerith contacted her, Kira sat up from the bed and looked down at herself. She wasn't really clean. She could stand to take a bath and a change of clothes. Normally, Kira would be going crazy that she was about to see a guy and she was less than decent. But at this point, Kira didn't seem to care too much.
Atleast it wasn't so bad. She was just a bit worked over from the chores and such. She slowly got to her feet and slipped on some shoes. Tell him I will be out shortly. Oh, and ask where he would like me to meet him. Kira's voice seemed to hold some weight to it. It had been awhile since Kira shifted her attitude, and it had worn down slightly over time. But Kira was still far from being back to her usual self when she arrived at the weyr. Atleast now she was leaving her room for more than what she was required to and she was actually purposely putting herself around people. A good start, but a ways to go.
Kira slowly walked out of the room. Meanwhile, Ayerith relayed Kira's message back to Jil's bronze. She is on her way. But she wants to know where to meet him. The copper's message was simple. She wanted the answer quick enough anyway so Kira wouldn't have to wander around for too long.

She asks where you are, Mine.
J'kiran stepped back into the main hallway of the barracks, leaning against the door frame. I'll wait just inside the outer door.
He is just inside of the outer door to the Weyrling Barracks. Of course Kaenith meant the temporary ones, but at this point so long after the hurricane the 'temporary' part of the title wasn't really needed.
Kaenith by now had turned to exit through the larger, dragon-made door of the ground-floor weyr that they had in the areas for the temporary barracks. By now he'd grown a bit too tall to fit through the halls meant for the riders. When he got outside he could see the copper not too far away, and he made his way in her direction, figuring their riders would meet up with them soon.

Kiramine? Kaenith says his is waiting for you just outside the weyrling barracks. The copper redirected the information back to Kira so that she'd know where to meet him. She'd hate for the girl to wander around for too long. It wasn't something she necessarily needed to do right now.
Kira had just walked outside the weyrling barracks when she spotted Jil. She turned to face him, but just as she did that was when she got her copper's message. Yes love, I know. I am here with him now. Kira walked quietly over to Jil and looked up at him as she stood before him. "Shall we?", she asked simply, a question meant to start their little walk and talk.
Meanwhile, Ayerith simply didn't respond back to Kira. There was no need to. She had found who she was looking for and now Jil's dragon approached her. Kaenith, it is good to see you. I hope ours will enjoy their time together. Ayerith would start the small talk between dragons herself. At the same time, she'd be paying careful attention to her chosen.

[I'm changing Kaenith's font color again, hopefully for the last time xD After coloring him I decided the color shoudl actually, you know, match him.
Hopefully it's visible on everyone's screen - I always just use the default skin, so that's what I test colors on. I think this new one is easier to see.]
When J'kiran saw Kira emerge into the hallway, he stood up from his leaning position, offering a smile when she got closer. At her question, he nodded. "Certainly, Miss Kira." Gentlemanly habits that he had, he stepped a bit to the side to let her walk outside first.
Kaenith reached where Ayerith was sunning and let himself down onto the ground nearby. Going for a walk had sounded nice, but sunning also sounded nice, and the copper was already at it anyway. I do as well. he replied to Ayerith, opening his wings just enough to catch Rukbat's rays. It is warm today. Maybe Ours will want to walk on their own, and we can stay here..
[Pretty sure the sun is Rukbat...pretty sure I spelled it right xD;]

Kira nodded and walked outside before Jil. When she was outside, she slowed her pace so that she could walk beside him. She was a bit quiet, she had been like that for awhile. But she felt some comfort being around Jil. She saw him as one of the very few true gentlemen here. Which was saying much, because her trust in the opposite sex had taken a nose dive.
When Jil was next to her, she wrapped an arm around his and leaned against him as they walked. There was nothing sensual about it and it had no romantic implications, it was a simple way of seeking comfort from one of the few people she found comfort in. It showed that she had formed quite a bit of trust in Jil.
I would like that. The copper's tone was a bit coy. She had started getting like that recently. Not quite flirty like the greens, however. She had started to get more assertive and demanding as well, but not quite like the queens. Each trait showed in certain situations. I think Kiramine needs to spend quality time with someone she can trust. You may sun with me, if you like. It is warm and bright out today. It's a perfect time to do so. There was that more assertive tone, though the copper didn't overdo it. She granted him permission to sunbathe with her, but allowed him the option to decline.

J'kiran followed Kira out after she stepped out of the barracks hallway. He brought his longer stride down to match hers so they could walk with each other, and offered a smile when she rested her arm on his. The boy looked over to where their two young dragons had met up, and it was easy enough to figure out that their bonded's seemed much more content in sunning than walking.
"It is quite a nice day," he commented on the weather, as most quiet and meaningless conversations began. J'kiran looked back at Kira from the dragons, trying at a more converstaional topic. "What do you think of Weyrling chores?" he asked. "Mine haven't been horribly difficult."
The copper's 'permission' had been granted about the same time that the bronze had been laying down already anyway. Kaenith rested his head on his front 'paws,' tilting it just enough so that he could look at the other dragon as well. I would like to very much, he replied, perfectly aware that since he was already laying down it had been basically stating the obvious. But the air of 'you may' that her mental tone held had amused him enough to go along with it.
