Uslanee, watching the whole debacle safely from the kitchens, shook her head, knowing that there was bound to be at least some tension the next morning. She was glad, despite her flitter's frustration, that she wasn't going to be a part of it. She was much too old for all that. And for most of the riders, she noted with a touch of self-deprecation.
T'rin was there enough to notice that P'rin was gone, and so was the weyrling. But Akki and Rhia were gone, too. Barely restraining himself, he looked to see only one person left, the greenrider. In a sort of daze, he took the few steps to her and could only stare.
In the very back of his mind he realized that this was the one sharding female he didn't know, and he'd ended up with only her as an outlet. Hands were leading him and he looked back at her, willing her to follow. Even in his state, he knew he wouldn't much fancy an encounter with one of the drudges, and she wasn't bad-looking. Save me, he thought.

Anassa wasn't too thrilled about the fact that she was the only unattached woman left with the bronzerider who's flitt had started this whole farce. When he took a few steps towards her, she started to step back, but she could see he was in a minor form of dragonlust.
She looked around, one particularly nasty drudge eyed the bronzerider thoughtfully and she sighed. Anassa couldn't leave T'rin to her tender mercies, not in good conscience. She also couldn't bear to turn down the pleading look he shot her way.
His eyes said 'Save me,' and she relented. She walked forward, and led him into the ground floor weyr, noting the drudge's look of disappointment. She'd have to make sure she didn't let that particular drudge prepare her food. It might be spit into, not to mention she was not very clean!

Rhia didn't want to think of the consequences. Those would come soon enough. She wouldn't be able to live down the fact that she had slept with one of her students. Granted, they didn't have much of a choice, but that was besides the point!
She should have made sure he was protected from those kinds of encounters until Osaith was old enough to handle them. Shards what a mess!
