[once again I don't believe this will be very long ^^; ]
"J'kiran smiled a bit more at Kira's reply, giving a small nod and squeezing her shoulder once more in a comforting manner. "Very well, then," he said. "After the next training session, once all our chores are finished. I'm sure it will do us all some good, Miss Kira. Us, and Ours as well."
There you are, my heart, you'll finally get that play date you've wanted. J'kiran sent to the bronze dragonet still back at the temporary barracks. The young dragons were still small, but Kaenith had gotten a bit too big to move about comfortably anywhere that was likely to be crowded with people.
I look forward to it, Kaenith said, the excitement evident in his mental tone even if the bronze had been adapting a bit to J'kiran's sort of way of speech. We should go when it's nice out.
Let us hope for fair weather, then, during our next training session.

Andilay smiled as G'han admitted he was properly wooed and gave her a kiss on the cheek. It was a sweet gesture, though, she knew he wanted something a little more carnal, but would refrain in a crowd. She just barely withheld her snicker. "Good. A man properly wooed is at least a happy man."
She gave him a light shove in playfulness before turning her attention back to the lord holder. "Sorry 'bout that. You need a name for your little one? I could lend some help... how about Robin?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rayn nodded as he told her about his hardships with his small blue. He was such a timid person, she wondered if that made it especially difficult for him. "I'm sorry to hear that you had a hard time. But you are still here, so I assume you persevered."
She ran a hand through her hair, ruffling the short red tresses. She then gave him a small smile. "It's nice to have someone to talk to, isn't it? Did you have someone to confide in when your troubles got bad? I could always go to Andy, or her me, though, she rarely ever does. Everyone has problems..."
Two eggs cracked at the same time. A bronze emerged from one, and a pale spring green emerged from the other. The celedon green wobbled around, getting away from the half circle ofp people, trilling for food. She expected her mother but pretty soon she'd go to the one who emerged to feed her. She'd be a medium sized green flitt.
The bronze would be on the small size, but still a good size for a bronze. His hide was tinged with the green that come bronzes seemed to show from time to time. He sat in his eggshells for a while, shaking his head as he tried to orient himself.
Rayn couldn't help but gasp as two new hatchlings popped out of their shells. She cooed at them, in an adoring fashion, the littleings were so adorable!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
S'yer had been quietly watching the others as the eggs hatched and chose their bondeds. A few new colors he had never seen before surprised him. One of which going to the kind ownership of the girl who had been mauled at the hatching.
He enjoyed the hatching of the feminine blue, as well as the copper. Something about the softness in them was appealing. Much more so than the nagging of his own (though beloved) bronze.
When the green and bronze hatched, S'yer was a little uneasy, but the small bronze seemed content to contemplate his existence in the shards of his own shell, while the green seemed to want her hers- RIGHT NOW. S'yer's mouth twitched in a small impulse to smile.

Kira nodded her head in reply. It did sound nice. If nothing else, it was a change of scenery. "Yes, that sounds nice", she said, this time not as hesitant as before. Her speech seemed more relaxed now. Still, it was quiet and low.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
G'han faked a flinch and an ouch when Andilay pushed him playfully. "And a happy man I am", G'han responded, a bit amused at how he nearly rhymed that. When Andilay turned to the Lord Holder and suggested a name, G'han shrugged to himself and thought he might as well interject himself politely into the conversation.
"Or...Caspian?", G'han offered, even if the name was probably unoriginal. Still, maybe the Lord Holder would like it?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Persevered? Yeah, I guess you could say that", K'dan agreed with her. It was rather hard to take, which is why he'd never offend anyone else, much less Rayn, by saying her dragon was small. K'dan was all too familiar with the jeering and teasing.
But K'dan nearly seemed crestfallen when she asked if there was someone he could confide in about his problems during that time starting out as a weyrling. Yes, K'dan did have someone. Nike, with her white, was going through the same thing. There was a sense of togetherness that it created, having to put up with the same thing.
It had helped draw them together. They grew closer, very close. They had a child. But somewhere down the road, their paths seperated and K'dan wasn't sure how it ever really happened. But K'dan didn't want to seem so wimpy and sappy around this girl. He was sure he'd already shown enough of that around her. Instead, he broke into a smile. "Why yes, I had G'han. It helped to be friends with a bronzerider well versed in beating people within an inch of their life", K'dan said in an amused tone.
But when Rayn turned her attention to the two new hatchlings, K'dan did the same. He looked over at them before turning his head slightly to look at Rayn. The bluerider had to smile, there was something....adorable( Admin's Note:
) about the way she acted around these sorts of things.

A cooing caught the celedon green's attention. She turned in the direction of the sound and trundled up to her.
Chirp. The flitter looked up at Rayne imploringly. She wanted food. She wanted it now.

Rayn practically squealed with delight as the little green flitter came over to her, imploring the brown rider to feed her. Which, of course, Rayn was all to happy to do. She fed the little creature carefully, and made sure that all the pieces she gave her were swallow sized. She didn't want the little flitterbaby to choke on her first out of shell meal!
So... you are happy now mine? What will you name my little cousin?
Rayn squeaked. "Name? Oh.. a name for the little dear? I dunno... I'm not all that good at thinking up names..."

The little bronze finally decided to pick out someone who would feed him. He stepped from his egg shells and wandered over to where two weyrling riders stood next to Sh'rel. He butted his head against Laerin's leg.
He gave an impatient trill. He wanted food now. He was a demanding lad, and he would be protective. He would also herd the other flitts around him and would only listen to the command of a dragon or a queen flitt. He would show the utmost respect for the queen dragons, but lesser flitts would usually be bossed around. He wouldn't be mean, but he would be determined.

(He's adorable! Thanks!)
Laerin had been watching the little green impress when she noticed the bronze come up to her. She reached into the bowl of meat she had with her and offered him a piece. The little imp gobbled the piece up and opened his mouth for more. "Hungry little, imp, aren't ya?"

A ghostly grey-green flitt hatched from a small egg. She'd be a very tiny little flitt, flirtatious with males of dragon, flitt, and human species. She would be sweet and very hyper. She was lithe and long and very fast. She let her wings dry before darting up to Relina and chirping for her to feed her.
A seal colored brown hatched from one of the larger eggs. He'd be about the size of the smallest bronze. He would be steady and rather quiet unless he was chasing a female or if his owner was threatened. The seal brown wobbled and tripped over his wings clumsily. It would take a while for him to grow into his frame. His wings would always be awkwardly large, but he'd be able to fly well. The brown straightened himself out the best he could and then made his way sedately to where Kira was talking.

Kira stood up from leaning slightly against Jil. She looked curiously at the seal colored flit. She smiled, small but it was there. She fed the dear a piece of meat and it crooned before gobbling it all up then crawling up her arm and onto her shoulder. She turned around to Jil and motioned to the new flit of hers.
She seemed to show genuine cheerfulness. A first since whatever it was that put her in such a new attitude. "Can you help me think of a name?", she asked him softly. The brown chirped softly to accompany her query.

J'kiran had been quietly watching the hatching of the flitts, following a few of the more interesting colored ones until they wobbled to their chosen people and settled in to eat. When Kira moved away for a moment he looked over to see her helping a little brown up onto her shoulder. J'kiran smiled when she turned to him, glad and a bit relieved to see her show at least some type of happier emotion. He looked closer at the flitt when she asked him the question.
"Hm," he mused. "Well, his color is rather close to klah, I'd say." J'kiran blinked, then gave a small smile. "I suppose that would be a strange name though."

Kira looked at the flitt curiously. "Klah?", she questioned curiously. She looked the flitt over. It was an odd name to call him. She looked at his characteristics. He was awkward, not yet having grown into his body. "Well, he seems to be a bit clumsy. He hasn't seemed to grow into his body. And he seems rather large for his color", she pointed out, still musing over what to name him.
"Goliath?", she asked innocently, looking between Jil and the new flitt. The brown chirped in response.

J'kiran smiled and gave a shrug-nod, submitting to the replacement to his suggestion easily, considering the silliness in his own suggested name. "It certainly fits better than naming him after a morning beverage," he said in reply to her question. Then he nodded again. "And it does suit him. Maybe he'll grow into those giant wings of his."

Relina stood there and stared at the little green. She was confused as she stood there, frozen on the spot.
I hadn't meant to impress the flit, I just wanted to know what was going on. she informed Soranith, who proceeded to stick her head over Relina's shoulder and look at the minature dragon-look-alike.
You shall keep the little one though, right? They are most helpful in bathing matters. Soranith eagerly asked.
You'll not be jealous then? Relina inquired.
Jealous of THAT? Of course not. A fire-lizard is not a dragon anymore than one of those big, ugly running lizards are.
You mean whers?
Their name escapes me, but yes. No matter how much they may look like a dragon, they are not. Soranith responded, feeling insulted. Relina rolled her eyes and picked up her new flit, walking over to the nearest feeding place to feed her.
"What shall I call her?" She asked herself, slowly feeding her new friend.

T'ren looked at where the eggs used to be, cradling the green in his arm. "Looks like that's the last of them."
OOC: Dreadfully short but the rest of you can keep rping this if you want.

As she fed the little green, she noticed a pattern in the little one's eating. She would take the bit out of Relina's hand, sit back on her haunches and chew, then throw her head from side to side before coming back for more, almost as if she were dancing to some music only a fire-lizard could hear. Relina tilted her head curiously as she fed the repetative flitt.
How interesting, a creature with a sort of, yes, that's it. Soranith, what do you think of this? Rhythm. She tought at her dragon. Soranith tilted her own head at her rider as she spoke back.
Rhythm? What does it mean? I have not heard such a word before. She explained. Relina chuckled and smiled at her.
Rhythm is what one has when they are dancing, moving in a way that can be predicted and projected gracefully. Watch how she eats, see how she moves the same way over and over? We call that rhythm.
I do see. Well, if that is what you would like to call her, I have no objections.
What is that supposed to mean? YOU have a better idea? Relina asked, slightly annoyed. Soranith looked at her slightly hurt.
Not at all! I hadn't meant to offend you mine, I apologise. Soranith told her with a hint of pleading. Relina instantly felt bad and moved a hand to pet her dragon.
I am so sorry, my sweet. I shouldn't have snapped at you, you did nothing wrong. Our family is getting bigger, and the sensation of it all has me so wound up and ready to strike. I hope it shall stop soon, but for this, do not be distressed. Relina comforted. Soranith rubbed her head against Relina's hand as the other continued to feed the flitt. Relina turned back to her mini dragon.
"You shall be called Rhythm now. Welcome to our little family. We will be together forever." She lovingly told the fire-lizard as if it could understand her. It looked up at her and peeped curiously before going back to eating.
