Appearance: Dukam has a very slim face and a rounded nose. When looking at him, one of the first things that you notice is the face that he has very rosey lips. However, the thing that you will be drawn to first is his electric blue eyes. With eyes as gorgous as those, you would expect Demetri to be a blond. But no, Demetri has naturally blue, black hair. Demetri is such a beauty to look at, but that isn’t all that Demetri is about.
Personality:
Dukam is very shy. There isn’t a point in time where he will walk up to anyone he doesn’t know and introduce himself. However, you come up to him, and he will allow a conversation. It isn’t until he gets comfortable with you that he begins to open up and become the type that you can befriend. Once you do get to know him, you realize many things about him. In conversation, he is very funny, and allows himself to make jokes, but is normally embarrassed about them later. He likes to also laugh at his own jokes. What is better than laughing at yourself, it is a way to relieve the stress.
One of the most important things about Dukam is the fact that he is kind. There isn’t a single point that Dukami wouldn’t put someone else in front of himself. Dukam fully believes that all people are worth something, and he would jump in front of a train to save a single person. While he is very self-giving and unselfish, Dukam is also very smart. He works very hard at what he does. Determination drives him and his natural intelligence is something he is very proud of. Although, in some cases, he isn’t able to catch on immediately, but he does eventually realize what is going on.
Once a person becomes better acquaintances with Dukami they realize that he is both OCD and ADD. While he is very shy, it is rare that Demetri can sit still for too long. He would never pull attention to himself in class, unless he needed to, and thus the healers weren’t able to diagnose him as ADHD, while sometimes he borders that fine line. When it comes to everything that Demetri does, it needs to be perfect and exact. Certain things have a place, while others don’t. It just comes with the territory.
History: Having been raised as a Weyrbrat in High reaches and then he and his parents traveling about Dukam was one male that never had a real home until he made it to Telgar Wyer where he and his mother settled in at.
He took the job as a smith apprentice at the age of 12 and by the age of 18 he was considered one of the best, many lord holders around Telgar Weyr asking his master for Dukam's blades and items. But by the age of 15 he had been searched. He failed each year sadly when a clutch came. Now at the age of 18 and not having that high of hopes really he awaits the time to become a dragon rider. What he really hopes for is to be a green dragon rider.
