Appearance: She stands 5'6". She has long red hair to her mid back and piercing green eyes. She wears a white tunic and brown trousers. She has grey sandals on her small feet Her skin is slightly tanned. She has her hair pulled up half-way in a black ribbon. Rori has a bag slung over her left shoulder containing her inventory she made when learning from her mother. She has a eye patch over one eye. Her eyes are gentle and soft, which other people think she is a push over but they're sorely mistaken.
She is slender. She has a flat stomach and slightly tanned skin. She doesn't look her age, though. Her breasts have developed to the point where they are not 15 Turn old ones, more like a 20 Turn olds.
Personality: She has a tendency to work harder than normal people. She is a determined young woman. When someone tells her she can't do something it only makes her try harder on proving them wrong. She's not a great risk taker but will take them when she sees a need for it. She's quiet and has a fear of dragons.
Rori's confident in her work and believes in second chances. She's friendly and is pleasant to be around. It takes a lot to get her angry but when she does....the first egg breaks loose!!
She has a dark side that she doesn't know is there. She has dreams of causing other people pain and suffering. One dream she had was she was standing before her home going up in flames and her holding a torch and laughing. Another she had was with a man who came to her and advanced on her..........and she enjoyed it. He was a big man. Muscular and very quiet. In her dream, she wasn't intimidated by him.
In fact every night, she dreamed about him having long quiet talks with her and even being loved.
History: Rori was born in Kalanre Hold. Her mother was a Master Smith, specializing in making metal. Her father was a Senior Journeyman Harper and a dragonrider. She began to make a small inventory and the like, under her mother's supervision at age 7. At age 10, her father had to go investigate a shipwreck. It took him several weeks. Rori had developed a fear of dragons. One of her brothers told her that all dragons on Pern were bad and wanted to eat her. Being the age she was, she believed him because he was older. When her father came back, Rori ran from her father's dragon saying, "No, No. Don't eat me!" and hid in her room. Her father was puzzled by this. He tried to help his daughter by tell her that the dragons of Pern protect it by fighting Thread and all the dragons will ~not~ eat her. She didn't believe him.
One day her father got called out again to investigate a murder. The same brother had told her more about fearing the dragon and their riders. He was able to convince her not to be a dragonrider because they will disappoint her in the long run and he didn't want to see her hurt. Rori listened to her older brother because she look up him. He told more lies about them and he very good at it. He knew with their father gone, she would be vulnerable. He worked on her fear and made it more evident that she would not be a dragonrider. Her brother made sure of that.
At 14, her father went out again. This time it was a kidnapping. He was gone for many months. During this time, her brother saw another opportunity to prey upon his sister's fear more. He had told her that they would hurt her and that they would torture her and she was believing him. When their father returned, she saw the dragon and screamed and ran away with her brother following. The dragon landed and her father ran after her and caught her. Her brother attacked their father to protect his little sister. Their father pulled out his knife and sliced her in the eye, accidentally, He was aiming her brother's side and she got in the way. She told her father that it no accident that she got in the way. That was what made her hate the dragonriders. She screamed is massive agony. This enraged her and ended up wanting to kill her father. Her brother told her that that would be smart and that she must come with him if they were to survive.
They ran. They ran into the forest where she would be safe from the outside world.
Now, she is on the run and thinking her father was after her for some crime he made up. Her brother grinned at his handiwork and backed into the shadows, never to be seen again. Her brother had left her, defenseless against the forest wild animals. She trusted her brother had his reasons so she wasn't mad for long. She hated her brother for leaving her.
